I honestly think that, out of all the highly requested third-party characters there are, Banjo has the biggest shot at the roster. He's probably one of the only third-party characters that can legitimately be called a Nintendo all-star. Because back in the day, he WAS. Add to that Phil "Robert Xbox" Spencer himself has vouched for his inclusion and moreover there's now this evidence.
I'm calling it, I think he'll be one of the DLC five.

I hope you're right. We all know what happened the last time a leak claimed Banjo would be in.

I'm not saying I'll disregard everything, but it's definitely enough for other people to discredit him. People are waiting for it. Back during the Grinch Leak, I saw so many posts saying "I can't wait for Vergeben's credibility to be destroyed."

Well, at the very least, Phil Spencer cares about Banjo (friendly reminder that Phil Spencer became the CEO in 2015, the same year we got Rare Replay and the same year he claimed that it would be cool to see Banjo in "the next SSB DLC")

It seems you unlock characters randomly by beating Classic or other modes with characters. The guy who was playing unlocked by beating Classic with and unlocked by beating Classic as

As I predicted, character unlocks will be random. Won’t that be fun?

On another note, Vergeben now claiming there’s a stage boss for Minecraft sounds more like a boon to Steve than a bane (and honestly I hope it’s the Ender Dragon cause that thing is so cool).

I’m not sure they’re completely random. Jigglypuff was the reward for Ness’s Classic mode on two separate streams. It’s just a very obtuse order.
