Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

No thoughts at all. Too early for that, we have a year long of agonizing speculations if those DLCs are not announced. Besides, ton of spirits were found. People are running out of ideas now XD

Those are two great games from Rare on N64. I doubt a rep from Blast Corps, cause there isn't. But Juno from Jet Force Gemini would be great.. not for Banjo fans though. Besides, Banjo is the somewhat promised MS rep. Umm, let me put it this way, MS business wise is much better than Square. Not as stingy, not as stubborn.. I suppose.
Was it really a reality? where? when?.. I still think Master Chief is too violent for Smash. I think they want to keep the game rated E or T max.

Yeah, because Nintendo is going theme parks now with Warner. Not sure how that looks for Disney. Maybe that's why, who knows?

SF got 37 tracks, 32 are new. Wasn't that enough? I looked and yeah, no Akuma. 2 for Fei-Long. I have to look for those later as I really like Fei Long. It's the Turbo cast if I'm not mistaken.. which is not bad. Who else do you like beside Ken and Akuma?

I bought the digital just because I prefer digital copies on the Switch. And whoever they add at this point to me is the strawberry on the sundae, I already got the character I wanted the most which is Ken. And I prefer Roxas to Sora, just because Roxas has more of that tragic hero storyline. So unless Sora came with a Roxas echo(with Jesse Mccarteny as his VA) then I would be super excited. I still think there will be a second fighters pass, I know Maximillian Dood also thinks there will be.

Not familiar with either of those characters so Ill trust your judgement on this. I don't think Master chief is too violent at all, Fenix from Gears would be. However Master Chief could work, but it wont happen unfortunately.

Akuma's track just sounds way better, im ok with Fei Long as a character. However Akuma's music is more iconic in my opinion. Aside from Akuma if we are going only Street Fighter 2 Turbo then I also like Sagat. If we are talking about Street Fighter characters in general then I like Alex, Guy and El Fuerte.

I mean come on how could this not be a contender to be in the StreetFighter music lineup?

I hope at least Balrog's theme made it in, because his song is pretty catchy. Even though I like Dudley way more than Balrog

I'm really hoping rage off becomes the standard.
Lucario's entire foundation makes me roll my eyes, so applying even a bit of that logic to everyone just isn't my thing.

I've not played XC2, but I'm simultaneously in the position of disliking almost every character design in the game while also absolutely loving Morag's design and wishing the rest of the characters had gone more that direction.

Balrog (M. Bison), Vega (Balrog), and M. Bison (Vega) all have their themes in. Sagat’s music is in too.

Here's my idea to make Pichu not "worse Pikachu"
Give him a Ukelele.

Down Taunt brings up a Ukelele that once played in full grants Pichu a buff that lasts around 15 seconds.
This buff makes Pichu far better than Pikachu.
Badda bing badda boom, Pichu is now more unique as a fighter and is simultaneously better AND worse than regular Pikachu.

Well hopefully its Balrog's SF2 theme then, id be ok with that as his theme is pretty catchy. Its still very disappointing that Akuma has no representation In Smash Ultimate. Especially because Akuma has been in more cross overs than M. Bison. I really wanted to see how they would tackle Akuma's song being in Smash Ultimate. Its seems unfortunately that is not going to happen.

Holy **** somebody other than me remembers that game. The full ukelele song would have made a great final smash.

Don't think we need to spoiler tag what Vergeben says, at least we didn't need to before all of the current leaks.

Either way, I'd be extremely surprised if Microsoft's only content in this game ends up being a boss, a character's gotta follow eventually. At least this opens the door for others than Steve.
