I knew it was bad when I posted about Melee speculation in the Geno thread and someone didn't even realize there was the internet and a Smash fandom in 1999.

I try not to feel like an old man, and I hate those types who run down later generations for not knowing X or Y but my god it's dawning on me we are full swing into the generation who have never known life without internet and ubiquitous cell phones. Like, those are both cool things, but it's wild.

(I actually found the old forum I would discuss Smash For Dolphin on using the Wayback Machine but the link to the Super Smash Bros forum kept linking to a later archived Virtual Boy forum. Makes me sad.)

It’s weird thinking how well-known the internet is these days.
I feel like the moment phones became popular, the internet just exploded. I do kinda miss the days when the web was little more niche.
