The fires of Hell have been burned into Jigglypuff's retinas.
I'd just like to point out that this is a 1v1 no items on Smashville.
kirby leave her alone
You're going to get broken Puff, and you'll like it.I'd just like to point out that this is a 1v1 no items on Smashville.
We've made a bad impression of what we want to Sakurai.
Jigglypuff came for a revenge. She is tired of being low tier.I'd just like to point out that this is a 1v1 no items on Smashville.

Looks like Palutena's Guidance is coming back!
You want it to not just be a mess but a random mess? It'd be cooler if the CSS went in order of who you unlocked and not the reveal order.
I just want my franchise order roster backIt'd be cooler if the CSS went in order of who you unlocked and not the reveal order.
I better be able to unlock those squids soon.I'm glad you can unlock Marth early in World of Light. Like, really early. He's potentially the third character you unlock if you go left at the crossroad.
Alongside Mario, that's two characters I enjoy playing as right from the start.
Your a little late to the party. There was a problem fetching the tweet

What?!Not sure if this is new news, but I just read an article about WoL that claims there are cutscenes, plural, and an overarching story.
Nice.

We've already seen cutscenes, plural, though. Not sure if this is new news, but I just read an article about WoL that claims there are cutscenes, plural, and an overarching story.

I enjoy a bit of chaos.Pls sakurai give me more than 2 new bosses i beg you
You want it to not just be a mess but a random mess?
Yep.What?!
It’s not quite a linear story mode in the same way as Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s Subspace Emissary mode was — although there are cutscenes and an overarching storyline — but it fills a similar role.
Well it has a better ring to it than Hero of Breathing.Woah wait

I didn't know until now XD...I didn't realize this was in question
I had a flashback to pre-Fates when a jerk spoiled literally the only decent twist in the game...Good luck with that.
If this is gonna be anything like Pokemon Sun and Moon and Super Mario Odyssey, Youtube thumbnails with spoilers will be rampant before the game even releases
So when Sakurai was saying they streamlined the process to unlock characters, I guess he really meant it. I know it only took me an hour or so to unlock all the fighters in Smash Wii U, but that was just monotonous grinding of 100 Vs. matches with 1-stock Sudden Death games against the CPU to unlock just 8 characters (what was the point?). Curious to see how all 66 characters are unlocked, either in Spirits or through other criteria.Nintendo says unlocking all the characters can take as little as a couple of hours, making your 8 fighters grow to 74 fairly quick. With so many fighters to choose from, setting up your dream matchup has never been easier.
So Classic mode allows 2 players, and there are unique bonus stages. This makes the lack of bonus stages in the Stadium section a little odd, but I'm very glad they're back for Classic at least. Smash 4's Classic was so dull compared to the previous games because it lacked anything unique or interesting like that. The lines between franchises are further blurred in the one- or two-player arcade-style Classic mode, where you select a character and difficulty and fight through multiple levels. Much like the Classic modes in past Smash Bros. games, you face other combatants as you progress through the mode, but also compete in one-off bonus stages. The bonus stage I played had me running through a simple 2D platforming level, collecting as many gems as possible while not allowing a black hole on the left side to catch up to me.
It's fun that Isabelle is so powerful. I also am glad that her differences from Villager make her a bit more aggressive. I love Animal Crossing, but I hated Villager's playstyle, so I've been hoping that Isabelle would be a good alternative.Isabelle might be the most deceptively powerful character on the roster. Not only does she possess various traps as special moves, like a fishing hook that can pull in enemies that walk into the cast line or a trap that she buries in the ground, but she packs a wallop in her attacks. Despite her indirect fighting style, she was the new inclusion I took to the quickest thanks to her mobility and power. She may come from Animal Crossing, but she plays different from Villager, even if some of her specials look similar. Unlike Villager, who sometimes requires a bit longer setup, Isabelle’s specials are much more instant.
So Spirits and Adventure Mode are two separate modes. I was a little confused on that, since the Adventure Mode looked like it was Spirits, given the menu layout at least. Weird that it's called "Spirits Board," though.Spirit Board or Adventure Mode
So here's how "Spirits Board" works. I guess it's like a bulletin board, hence the name? Who knows. The fact that it cycles every 5 minutes is also nice, because that means after every fight or two, you have brand new options, so it doesn't get stale. To collect Spirits, you can play Spirit Board mode, which rotates available Spirits every five minutes (don’t worry, no internet connection is required). The Spirit Board is laid out like a wanted bulletin, with 10 slots on a timer offering you different Spirits you can try and earn through completing the associated challenge. Each Spirit is represented by a non-playable character or object from various other games.
Now I'm confused. First I heard that Sakurai said in the Japanese Direct that there wouldn't be additional cutscenes. Now there's more of them? Plural? Do they mean the little cutscenes for bosses, like we've seen with Dracula and Galleom, or do they mean actual pre-rendered cutscenes? Hm...The cinematic is impressive, and while there are other cutscenes like it over the course of the mode, Nintendo Treehouse’s JC Rodrigo says this is less about a cohesive, tied-together story than something like Super Smash Bros. Brawl’s Subspace Emissary. “You will see some [cutscenes], but it’s really more on focusing on the loot grind, and that flow of getting Spirits,” he says. “It’s more about the matches and the way of collecting stuff you have an affinity for – a certain IP or franchise you love and you’re just like, ‘I really need this!’ It’s more about that than anything else, but you may see a couple here and there.”
So there is more of a story reason why Kirby is the survivor, and he is the only character you can play at the beginning. Awesome, I love it.The only character that narrowly escapes Galeem’s onslaught is Kirby. Rodrigo says there’s a reason beyond Sakurai’s affection for Kirby for why the pink puffball was the sole survivor, but he doesn’t want to spoil it. Regardless of the reason, you begin Adventure mode as Kirby on a quest to save the rest of the Smash universe, unlocking and powering up Spirits along the way.
In what other game are you going to be able to say "I fed Metal Sonic so many snacks he leveled from 1 to 99 so that he could help Kirby save the world"?As you’d expect, raising a Spirit from level 1 to level 99 significantly boosts the power level of that Spirit; my level 1 Metal Sonic had 1,859 power, but by feeding it a ton of snacks to max it out at level 99, the Spirit’s potency was raised all the way to 7,465.
Interesting, so unlocking characters in World of Light is slower than unlocking them through whatever other criteria exists. So I guess that "streamlined" method is separate from the slower-paced Adventure Mode. After enhancing the Spirit, I continue along the path. A few stages later, I am presented with the opportunity to fight Mario to unlock him in Adventure mode. After running through this first fighter challenge, Mario gets added to my World of Light roster. Upon entering my roster of playable fighters, it’s comical to see just two characters after getting used to the massive 74-character roster screen of regular Smash. You build your Adventure roster steadily, though; I unlocked Marth a couple levels down the road.
So it looks like NoA already knows who the DLC characters are, which is really interesting. Why would they know already? Perhaps they played a hand in the selection?Nobody will spill additional details on what will be in these additional DLC releases, but Rodrigo thinks fans will be surprised by the inclusions. “Mr. Sakurai and his team and everyone that works on the game – we love surprises,” he says. “Just like Piranha Plant, we believe the DLC is going to be a must-have. For me, as a fan… oh man, I would not miss these for the world.”
I absolutely want Galeem to be revealed to be something else, and not just another dumb OC boss. It'd be cool if Tabuu came back, but I don't want him to be Galeem. I want him to shine on his own.
I imagine Nintendo would want NoA's input since North American sales of Smash dwarf Japanese and European sales. So it looks like NoA already knows who the DLC characters are, which is really interesting. Why would they know already? Perhaps they played a hand in the selection?
Now I gotta hope for Mirage Saloon act 2Yo let’s go Studiopolis Zone is in Smash:
