In terms of Western gaming icons (not necessarily "made by the West" but popular in the West, since I can't speak for the East), I think the only big ones left that aren't in Smash already are probably...

• Master Chief
• Lara Croft
• Resident Evil in general

Ironic how Geno supporters use the Mii costume of their character as evidence of him possibly being playable, but when supporters of a different character do the same, you think it means the opposite?

These are clearly different situations. Geno's costume was not included as a special part of a season pass therefore implying the costume was what they found to be a suitable replacement for Rex being playable. Do I really need to go on.

I think that i have a perfect Mii for that costume.

If i manage to hide the black dots on the eyes with the hat, maybe it could look decent.

I feel that they will find a way around that.

And sadly the last two might have to deal with realistic guns, as well as any potential over the top gore and horror elements that RE might bring along with it.

All are super worthy of Smash Bros though.

Jill or Leon could adopt a Snake-esque moveset revolving around grenades, mines, flamethrowers, knives, etc. And I don't think a shambling zombie would be cause for concern for Smash's ESRB rating. MvC2 already made a Jill moveset that could be used for heavy inspiration.

Lara Croft, on the other hand... I don't see Sakurai making a moveset revolving around rebooted Lara, and I don't see classic Lara really fitting in. As much as I love Tomb Raider, that one seems impossible.

It's the logical outcome, but some of ya'll would be missing your heads because they exploded from rage.

Steve and Master Chief are my ideal Microsoft reps for Smash, so I'd be completely fine

This is the exact same situation that happened with Pikachu Libre in Pokken where they went with a 2nd Pikachu instead of the actual luchador Pokemon

Again, his name LITERALLY has the word "Lucha" from "luchador" in it.

I suppose the difference here is that Hawlucha was a bit of a fanfavorite while Gumshoos is not, but yeah, having a second Pikachu when another character could fulfill that same shtick would still be silly.

We've still got people complaining about having three Links when LoZ has so many other characters to pull from, so you can bet people would be upset by having three Pikas.

Isaac fans have been really, really good sports about his deconfirmation, and have moved past their grieving to start campaigning for him being in Smash, whether it be DLC or next game, as well as possibly getting the Golden Sun series revived, or at least in the public eye again. They remind me of the Kutthroats and I honestly hope they get what they want.

That's very true. I almost put him on my little list but decided against it. I felt like he was top tier, but not god tier. But it's only my opinion.

The way I tried to think of it was, if I show just a headshot of the character to my mother, will she know the game. I'm not positive on Crash, but I know "Halo," "the one with Angelina Jolie, uh, uh... Tomb Raiding?" and "the scary games" will all be easy answers. Crash suffers slightly from being comparable to the other major cartoonish mascots of the era and being beneath them (Mario, Sonic, Pikachu). Still, Crash Bandicoot was the highest grossing PS1 game, if I remember right.

I’ve probably mentioned this before, but the Sony character I’d like to see get the Smash treatment is Cole. Unpopular pick, but he’s my 3rd or 4th favorite Sony character.

For me, it's Parappa the Rapper.
I love rhythm games, so having the father of rhythm games join Smash would be such a treat for me...
Of course, if I were to choose any rhythm game rep,,, you all know who I'd choose
