Official Smash Ultimate Discussion

Almost one month has passed since release. In retrospect....

  • This is by far the best Smash ever. Like, I don't even know how they will top this.

  • Pretty freakin' good; I have a few qualms over things like internet play, balancing issues, etc.

  • It's ok, but [insert Smash game here] is better.

  • I'd rather play Parcheesi.

I would be fine with Augmon in Smash. Not my personal 1st choice for Bandai (you all can figure out who that is by now), but he's actually pretty high up on my Bandai characters list.

You really are a diamond in the rough buddy.
I associate with Noipoi a lot too.
I am hyperactive, but also kind of boring in a neat way (since i am mostly positive and patient towards things).

A lot of good stuff has happened to me, so i don’t find the need to feel upset or sad recently.

So, what happened? Graizen left due to unwarranted animosity? I don't know, for I didn't post anything then. I'll just head over to the social for a while.

Can we talk about why Crash Bandicoot deserves to be in Smash?

I mean....y'all know about the 90's war between Sega, Nintendo, and Sony/Playstation. Put 2 and 2 together, and you got yourself a game
First off that’s only 3 things that can be put together, but yeah Crash needs to join

So... our DLC seems to be...

Square Rep
Steve
Katalina
Namco Rep

that leaves one more slot for a Nintendo character...
Place your reasonable bets, everyone
Ughhh guys please don't start saying this

Hitagi isn't sure on any of these except for Steve and a Squenix rep
Hitagi isn't even verifiable for Smash specific leaks yet

Ooh ooh ooh I (kinda) went on a date last week!

It was horrible. We went to a homecoming dance and I went with her friends.

I hung out with her friends more than I did with her because she pretty much ignored me the whole night.

Like, even if it wasn't a date it was just bad.

Sounds like me when I hang out with my friends at parties.

...which is why I don't go to parties anymore.

You forgot another western character that isn't Steve.
Seriously, the DLC was just all decided a couple of days ago, how would it all have leaked already?

I hope not..DQ MCs are always the most boring since they are meant to be stand ins for the players.
I mean, couldn't the same thing be said about Link?

And Ness?

And Villager?

And probably even Pokemon Trainer (Red) as well?

That didn't stop any of them from getting into Smash, so I don't see why the line should be drawn at the DQ Heroes.

Personally, I don't think silent protagonists are necessarily "boring" as long as they have cool designs and memorable stories associated with them (which I'd say is the case for most DQ heroes). That's why people still love characters like Crono after all these years. Being silent doesn't mean they can't be an interesting character. It's the adventures they embark on, and their actions during it, that make them compelling and memorable. I mean, the story of Abel (DQ5's hero) is something I don't think I'll ever forget. And the adventures of Breath of Fire 2's Ryu makes me remember him and his group very fondly.

I look at silent protagonists like this; "They don't become you, you become them". I believe this is why a lot of silent protagonists aren't customizable. They are characters in their own right, but we just get to walk in their shoes for a while.

...You know, now that I think about it, I'm not sure why I bothered writing all of this.

Oh god, now we're talking about dating? I lucked out because my girlfriend (only girl I've ever dated, just as nerdy/more nerdy than me) was not only willing to wait for me because I was almost like an hour late for our first date because the GPS took me to the wrong place with a similar name in Pennsylvania (luckily I realized it was wrong and turned around after 20 minutes), and then the other "first date we went on", she didn't even know it was a date until I offered to pay for dinner. O O F.

Too bad I've still never used the, "I heard you like to Smash" *whips out Gamecube controller. Looking back...I'm kinda glad I haven't, because she'd probably smash my face.

I may seem articulate, and frankly, I am. :awesome:

But I'm also a complete disaster.

Graizen drama aside, I’ve been predicting good ol’ Hachi in the Hei-est since the direct, since we didn’t see his Mii costume return or a spirit of him. If we’re truly getting a new Namco rep, my money’s on him.

Maybe they just didn’t show them, but if they really just removed them I’d really raise on eyebrow. The rights shouldn’t be much of an issue is Namco Bandai is helping with Ultimate.

Jones why are you a national treasure

He said it wasn't Bethesda.
I still think Rayman is likely seeing how Ubisoft is onboard already.
Where did he say it wasn't Bethesda? And where did he say we'd even be getting another Western third-party?

I'm probably gonna play Chrom for a bit since his style is more normal than most other swordfighters, which reminds me of a mook (And y'know how I think about mooks).

TPC: You've got the keys to my heart
Girl: ???
TPC:
TPC: Nevermind I'm going home

For real though? That ****ing sucks TPC. Dude like you deserves a Quality Lady. Hang in there bro.
Yeah, it's no big deal. I bounced back pretty fast, but it still sucked. I guess it's better to learn it won't work now than later, you know? We'll see how my love life pans out in the next semester or so. I've been keeping my options open, and I guess I'll keep you guys updated as time goes on?

Catch me discussing my dating life on the Social Thread lol.

I'm totally stealing that line though.

I'm having doubts about Katalina and a Namco rep. It's very strange that they tell this one person about it only because they asked. It seems to me like maybe they aren't too confident in the possibility of a Namco rep?

I think I still got my 5 picks.

-Geno or Sora
-Bandana Dee
-Sylux
-Doomguy
-Crash or a Microsoft Rep

Oh if we're sharing dating stories here's mine

...

The end.

#foreveralone

Imagine if the whole DLC roster is released before the ****ing game even releases.
At this point I won't even be surprised.

Bro me too. Give me a written format or speech and I do great.

But in real life? Not as great.

It's a paradox I tell you.

Assuming all of this is true (which it probably isn't but for the sake of this post I'll assume it is):

I gotta go with my boi Bandana Waddle Dee.
Sorry Elma, but if Nintendo only gets 1 character, I'm more confident that he'll get in.

Exactly how I feel.
I don't want just "popular character from franchise."
I want someone that truly represents the game franchise, its stories, its gameplays, its aesthetic, everything.

Next time you should introduce as Mr. Leakerman

and show them your leak logbook so they get an idea of how committed you can be to things

Let's talk about why Gharnef is literally one of the most slept on Fire Emblem characters.
Untitled.png

Villain? Yes.
Recurring? One of if not the most.
Sword? Hell no.
Following? You can't defeat Gharnef.

Okay that's enough of me fanboying over old meme icons.
