All in gonna say is how can someone even be mad at WoL and Spirits? It's literally hundreds of Melee-type event matches. Every game I wished they'd up the number of events, especially since the roster has tripled since then. WoL and spirits are literally a dream come true, on top of an ~80 character roster after dlc

They didn't get it during the Direct and were disappointed it wasn't Subspace 2.0 when it was clearly going to be that!

I admit it was rather weirdly explained in the Direct at first. Felt like it had no script and Sakurai kept adding things he remembered last second about it. Weird segment.

But having digested the facts it's actually rather cool. It's much better than Master Orders and Event Matches so looking forward to it.
Don't really care for the gacha stuff but the core concept is neat.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion but...

I think I actually might like spirits more than trophies especially if there's a possibility to replay spirit battles

All these battle missions you have to do to obtain a spirit kinda make that character truly part of the game instead of just being a static model on a stand

The fusing and leveling up of spirits also makes things interesting for some.

Going from Naked Snake > Big Boss says a lot about the character

And needing Cutman and a cardboard box to obtain Paper Mario is just pure genius!

The new Tekken is pretty fun, but I get you. Its a different style of a fighter compared to street fighter. Im still hoping they will do a Tekken X Street Fighter someday.

So my friend, if you had to predict all 5DLC characters what would they be and why? In fact lets do a more in depth prediction. Each of us should try to predict all 5 DLC characters, explain why we think those characters. And then predict the stage they would come with and one piece of music that they would come with.

I'm going for Tekken 7 btw. Some fighters there look neat. I'm definite I'll be bad at it though X)

So, here comes the hard talk.
1. Square rep: Slime. Stage: Slimeville or any recognizable DQ place. Music: DQ anthem.
Why? Geno's not making it, it's Ninty's call now. Sora, not making it. KHIII too far to realize and SQ still pushing for PS4, not gonna happen.
Slime is the answer to which DQ rep should join 1-11.

2. Microsft: Steve. Stage: Minecraft. Music: whatever numbness they play in that game.
Why? Banjo's trademark renewal is meant for the N64 mini. Unless Steve goes AT, then it's Banjo (not counting on it).
3DS based on MC, Survive together ad, leaks. Unfortunately all signs says Steve. Plus it's a Nintendo call even if Sakurai doesn't like it.. or fans.

3. Cygames: Katalina..
I know nothing and I wish not.
No clue on what the last will be but here goes..

4. Ubi rep: Rayman. Satge: any from Rayman WiiU. Music. Any from that game.
Why? if Microsoft gets in, Ubi must.

5. Konami: Goemon. Stage: Edo town. Music: I'm Impact.
Why? Just a hunch.

Alright but as far as single player content goes we should agree that this is gonna have the best classic mode in smash. The individual experience for each character is so cool, seeing Ryus classic mode be FD stamina mode against other street-fighter-like characters is really cool and different. Anyone forseeing a Samus fight against K Rool to represent Kraid?

Yes we can. It's looking to be the best Classic Smash has ever had. It's the perfect amount of single challenges: keeps it from getting boring or feeling tiresome with 70 different characters, makes it easier to jump back into when you want to attempt higher difficulties. The mural that accompanies it is beautiful, every character having their own theme is a genius idea, I just really want to play that more than anything else. I'll probably forget Spirits is even a thing because Classic mode looks like it'll keep my attention for a long time.

considering you can get doubles (and that felix appeared twice when sakurai was showing the mode off) i'm entirely certain you can refight characters

If it's Ninty's call I fail to see why a Nintendo-exclusive character who has been highly requested to the point he got a Mii costume is 100% out of the running like you say with Geno

Also you realize what you said with Banjo? "The trademark renewal is meant for the N64 Mini"...so they're working with Microsoft to bring back B&K which makes him...less likely?

Ignore button is so petty though. Sure, you could do that, but just because someone has annoying personality traits, etc, etc, whatever it is that might make you hit the button?

They might also have some legit things to say to add to the conversation.

If I used the ignore button I'm pretty sure me and Burb would have never come to an understanding of one another and become pals.

I don't know, I just think there's better options than the ignore button.

I like to think of myself as realistic. For example, and I think you can agree with me...I want Geno badly, but I do not believe we will get him. This isn’t to be negative, just based off of what I see happening I don’t believe it. The Italians would say Che sarà, sarà: What will be, Will be. (not grammatically correct but whatever). Also, I can’t be too negative, I’ve been waiting for Ridley and K. Rool since melee. So this is a dream come true for me!
