Johto is really boring with very few interesting aspects. It feels like Kanto 2 but worse due to balance and arbitrary wait times in an RPG.

Agreed. The Gen 2 Pokemon games are really overrated and only popular due to nostalgia and adding Kanto. Its starters are all pretty boring, too. The level curve and lack of new Pokemon to find in the wild were significant flaws that many Johto fans tend to brush off as well.

I like Sun and Moon. And I didn't even mind the abundance of cutscenes, in fact I enjoyed them.

I personally loved these games myself. They tried to change up the environment and mechanics of the game, while still keeping the core intact. Story was.. passable, but Pokemon isn't necessarily known for its deep, complex story.

And then Ultra Sun/Moon... why do these exist now?

I thought you were going bring up actual HGSS stuff. I felt it relied on you using the Pokewalker to deal with the sudden level jumps for the gym leaders and elite four. I never used it so when I got to the elite four the game was incredbily vindictive. Balance in the original games were much better.

I personally liked Johto for the cultural Japanese aspects. Fair enough if you don't because outside all that stuff there's not much else to it.

Why is it that the characters that people hardly consider support vocally, anyway. not as vocal as us. are the ones that are hardly argued over when brought up?
I've had to argue for/against chances of the likes of Geno, Agumeon, etc. than I have for someone people generally consider as outlandish as 2B.
Shouldn't it be the other way around? . . . Either way, I'm not complaining. Less people against 2B. Vocally, anyway.

That isn't related to storytelling or confidence. That's a different issue altogether.

I'm trying to give the team SOME benefit of doubt about how the ****ed up this badly when a low budget kid's show aired around Xenoblade 2's release and showed a much better understanding of using character shots to convey emotion even though you can't even see their facial expressions

Because Gamefreak wanted to get some extra money while they work on a mobile game tie-in to get some extra money while they work on the next generation.

This is an awful idea, imo. Xenoblade and Pokemon are nothing alike, and as much as I'd hate to say it, Xenoblade gameplay is awful.

Now let's wait until we learn about Pokemon 2019 before we start singing doom and gloom for the franchise? Everyone is cynical and in a bad mood because of Let's Go but I'm like 90% certain that's not the actual direction the future of the franchise is going in.

Not that I don't respect your opinion, but calling Xenoblade's gameplay "awful" implies the game is objectively bad. I actually enjoy it, but I absolutely would not want Pokémon to play like it. Instead of acting like the game is bad, why not simply state that you don't like it?

Sun and Moon are actually some of the best Pokemon games. I actually think they are better then the first Black and White.

Ah. I have good memories with this game. I haven't touched it in a while, but I've invested about 130 hours total. It's a shame Smash Ultimate will completely overshadow it now, though.

I want this owl for Smash. It's adorable.
The phrase itself though, I wouldn't connect it to Smash. It looks similar for sure, but I doubt that they're hinting at anything other than "Book 3".

Maybe it's because the supporters of those lesser supported characters don't take the speculation cycle as serious as the others. Not to say that they do it as a joke, but that they have things in perspective and they know that the stakes for supporting a character is not as high as everyone is lead to believe. Not to say that they do it as a joke, but that they have things in perspective and they know that the stakes for supporting a character is not as high as everyone is lead to believe. Man. I remember when Pokken was first announced, I lost my ****. I had wanted an actual Pokemon fighting game for YEARS, and considering game was developed by Bandai, I knew it would turn out pretty good.

I was wondering for the longest time whether or not the game would come to Wii U, since it was arcade exclusive for quite a bit. The game ended up getting announced for Wii U on my birthday.

When the game finally came out, I sunk hundreds of hours into the game. I ended up mainly playing Gardevoir (surprisingly), Sceptile, and Chandelure.

Still one of my favorite Pokemon and Wii U games to this day.

There was a post on 4Chan saying that they had a friend that worked at one of those companies, and got him to help out in making the fake leak for laughs. They even got some of the real stuff lying around that the company worked on to make it seem more real.

He said that the real artwork was really ****ty, and that he just blurred it to give the illusion of it being higher quality.

Granted, we have no way of knowing that this is the original poster, seeing as it was posted by a 4chan anon, but it was after the final direct either way.

Just looked up how bad this situation is, and yeah. This is pretty bad. The fact that The Luminous Engine alone has costed Square 3.3 billion yen/$33M dollars is insane. I mean, yeah they'll still be alright, but even if we're comparing hits like the likes of Capcom, Konami, or what have you, this is a really big dent.

I really think if they wanna try and invest more faith in their investors and stockholders, Geno might be their best bet. Characters from Final Fantasy XV are probably the last thing they wanna think of at the moment, probably.

KHIII is out in 2 months and Square hasn't really been releasing much lately. Plus XV's development was a goddamn mess that just ate money and man hours
