Rex and Pyra have some of the ugliest character designs I've seen for protagonists of any major game in recent years.

I imagine their appeal within the game is in their personalities or something. What do they bring to the table?

Aren't they making Dragalia together right now? And it's doing pretty well last thing I saw.

It outpaced both AC and Super Mario Run (iOS only) in its first month despite being region locked and both Nintendo and Cygames have spoken very positively about it, so it's doing rather well. Unless the game tanks out of nowhere it's unlikely either company are leaving the table anytime soon.

Been watching ZeRo ranking all the Ultimate characters

Very conflicted I don't know how to feel

As mentioned before, I wouldn't take this as a concrete "here's where everyone is right now". Even looking at the wording, it's pretty clear that he's assessing the characters based off of current impressions and footage that we have of them, which is limited since we don't have everything on the characters (ex. Peach), some details may not be concrete (ex. Richter may or may not be slightly faster then Simon), and some may've undergone changes between builds that may make them better or worse (ex. DK could've gotten some buffs/nerfs between E3 and now and they just haven't been caught yet). Additionally, there's also a possibility of a Day 1 patch like with the Wii U version that may shift things even more, so some characters could get the exact buffs/nerfs that he wants for those characters.

In short, if you're worried about your favorite characters, don't take this to heart just yet. The meta is just starting and there's a lot of room to grow, we just have a snapshot with very limited information.

Plus, keep in mind, this isn't a solid tier list, but initial thoughts and impressions based on very limited gameplay and no labbing.

As Chrom (who is right now sitting at bottom tier) would say, "Anything can change!"

Yeah, I can see Pichu being better than Melee, but not so much that it's high tier.

I can't believe there's such a disaprity between Roy and Chrom, an echo.
By far the biggest gap in terms of viability between echoes.

Also can't believe Lucina is edging out Marth right now.

That awkward moment when people were saying Chrom was gonna be "the good Roy".

What character do you think that the mechanics they have from their games would fit into Smash Bros.?

In my opinion, it would be Spike from Ape Escape, considering that the B/Special/Grab inputs only switch the gadgets themselves and you have to use them by manually using the right analog stick.

Arthur from Super Ghouls'N Ghosts with him losing his armor.

Have him be a slower/heavy character that surprisingly hit's lighter now with his armor at a certain % it breaks and he gets a speed boost and is lighter but hits harder.

Be a really really gimmicky glass cannon type deal but would be imo fun.

Can you tell me 2 Nintendo characters who could, from what I see, classify above even K. Rool enough to be premium DLC players must go out of their way to get.

Rex & Pyra and Bandana Dee.

Which characters would you recommend for beginner's other than (Kirby/Mario) to play so they can learn how Smash is played?
(Just in case I need to adjust to Ultimate, so I won't play as dodgy like I do in Smash 4).

I think Lucina is a good beginner character, because it lets you learn the fundamentals and how sword characters play, while also be more forgiving compared to other sword characters. However I don't think Corrin is a good recommended character for beginners despite being an easy to play character, because he is more forgiving with his range, and some others compared to Lucina.

So basically instead of doing fair fair b-upforward fair, I have to rethink to fair fair b-up-left fair.

Not to mention that they're gonna be patching the hell out of the game and making balance adjustments. Smash 4 received a lot of good balance patches, and if they had kept going, they'd have a pretty well-balanced game. But they stopped after one round of nerfs on Bayonetta and turned to focus on Ultimate.

Though Samus has been bad ever since the original game. Can't say that things are going to improve too much now.

The first Digimon Game on Nintendo Switch will launch Worldwide in 2019.

They could put Agumon in Smash to help sell more games

I obviously don’t know any of this for sure and am just not researching it bc not that serious but:

I know she’s from a mobile game, but isn’t she “potentially” going to be the lead in an action RPG? And weren’t there “apparently” talks of a granblue fighting game?
I understand why people don’t want her and I certainly understand why people wouldn’t be excited for her...
But I have to ask would you still hate her even if she had an amazing personality in smash and a super unique cool moveset?
Doesn’t it seem silly to hate characters before you even know about them in game(aka incineroar)

Now I get that YOU DONT HAVE TO BE EXCITED, OR WANT HER, but for me some of the best things about smash is having a character you know nothing about make the roster...and then discovering them and their series.
(Yes I know she is PAID DLC, but genuinely don’t buy her if you don’t want her you’re not at a loss.)

Just think it’s a little harsh to literally rip a character to shreds before you know anything about them ;*

Honestly that's how I feel whenever I see all the vitriol surrounding Sora's inclusion by certain people.
