Regardless, I really doubt Granblue would get a character. Maybe Spirits, but I doubt a character. The Square character is also only vague because Vergeben doesn't want to say who it is.

In fairness... It's typical Smash fashion to end on a disappointing whimper... Bayo and Corrin come to mind. I think a Granblu character unequivocally fits this obligatory DLC spot.

Been reading some stuff on reddit about K. Rool from top Spanish players who have tried him out, and a lot of it seems pretty positive so far:

-Up B recovery "good", doesn't require mash
-Down Air "Very strong"
-Down Throw buries, can follow-up, but grounding can be mashed out of
-Back Air has spike hitbox
-Back Air "kills early"
-K. Rool in general "kills early"
-Crown Throw has super armor
-Recovery is disjointed and difficult to challenge
-Up Air helps recovery
-Apparently has good mobility
-Normals have large hitnoxes

And I'd like Katalina even if I haven't played Granblue, she has a cool design and I really want some character with ice powers in Smash.

Nairo posted footage of Luigi's grab. It looks like trash. It's the plunger on a rope from the Simon trailer.

Doesn't grab ledges, it's a projectile in the air.

Also, his cyclone doesn't rise in the air anymore.

His smashes are worse, his side b goes less distance.

Of all the characters in Smash, Luigi really was the first who needed so many hard buffs. Meanwhile, Zero Skill Spamus still has those stupid Down and Up Bs

Honestly the whole Granblue claim seems super bogus. Like they have two more mobile games that they spent more time and money on. Like why isn’t there a Dragalia Lost DLC or a Puzzle and Dragons DLC? Heck! They even made a Mario version of Puzzle and Dragons!

Because we didn't even know abour Dragalia Lost until this year and if XC2 was too late...

They are playing the Japanese version of the game on stream, so there's no way to know for sure yet.

However, seeing as Roy's Japanese voice is recycled from Smash 4, it's likely that the Japanese VA did not come back to re-record lines. I find it unlikely.

Think when he mentioned Geno he said it shouldn't really matter too much because literally everyone and their mother were talking about Geno already.
I don't think he ever outright confirmed or denied that Geno was one of the names though.

If you notice even SpawnWave has never said Sora outright, he's just hinted at it whenever someone suggests so. I think he doesn't want to say who it is outright as well, probably for the same reason as Vergeben.
