Though the amount of effort that has gone into faking a leak that just so happened to get most of the characters right is difficult for me to believe for its own reasons.

Let alone the fact that whoever is responsible for this leak has made themselves extremely susceptible to legal action from Mr. Bricard.

We from the Dixie thread are planning to make ourselves heard and try to get Dixie into the game, for example, to round out the "DK, Diddy, K. Rool and Dixie" quartet that old-school DKC once had.

Sorry, they just have the most potential. But seriously, I think they might be the most possible. They'd have a whole rhythm mechanic to introduce, and if the next reveal is through a direct, then they could use the beginning to introduce their moveset like how Simon's whip was showcased

Well, no. In comparisons to all the other leaks, this is the best of the bunch in terms of effort. That doesn't make it real, but it can't be dismissed as low-effort. Especially given the elaborate nature of the circumstances surrounding it.

Add on top of that, them guessing most of the characters right? When so many people were convinced we'd only get Kencineroar a month ago? When people looked at this list and said "Fake, too good to be true"?

Possible. Can't say it's not possible. Plausible? I can't imagine that sounding plausible to anybody a week ago. Once it's reality, it seems obvious in hindsight.

I've already said I would change my avatar to be the Grinch and would change my name on here to GrinchWylde for at least a year if it's true. (But only if all the characters get in, or 7/8 get in and we find out it was an old roster or something)

I have been pretty much on the fence about this entire banner leak without voicing strong opinions for or against it. I said did say that with some time and patience, I think there’s lots of people who could pass off a blurry edited banner.

I know many of you have dived into the thick of the banner debate with sides being drawn (and possible questionable confrontations both off and on Smashboards from what I can gather). I appreciate the help you have done for the community; especially for those who tried to not go into hysterics over it.

I have seen leaks and rumors and problems throughout this community since I joined back before Brawl and certainly this leak has become one of the most talked about and controversial one to my recent memory (maybe even the Sonic and Tails rumor back during Melee).

Just remember, the game will be out in almost a month. This time period before a Smash launch comes once every so often and it’s truly a great time to talk about Smash. Enjoy it because it will be over soon and we will then be waiting for the eventual DLC. Enjoy what you don’t know yet. Maybe pause and take another look at the website and it’s beautiful roster. Watch all video trailers for Brawl and 4.

Enjoy this time because it will soon all be over.

God, people don't realize how hard the DLC cycle for Ultimate is gonna be. LOTS of dreams were crushed and made at the same time back during the DLC cycle for Smash 4, and man, was it quite the doozy, too.

Sora, Crash, 2B, Rex & Pyra, Sans Undertale - all the support is coming from these fronts. No veterans, all newcomers.

Y'all better relax before December 6th man, ****'s gonna get wild.

Artsy. Omni.

Regardless of what you believe about the guy, he made a leak so compelling that Ubisoft, the actual company, was going to make an official statement about it before he outed himself.

With enough effort, you can make a believable "leak". It's just that we barely ever see "leaks" with this much effort put into them.

While it was much less grand in Scope, the Palutena Leak from Smash 3DS/Wii U was never officially debunked until the ESRB leaker posted the models in August.

This is so true after the first couple months or so of the game being out, there probably won't be nearly as much to talk about. Savor it while you can people.
