He said it took him an insane amount of effort to do. So either the leaker went through a ludicrous amount of effort to create this, do a bunch of research to gain false credibility, and post it on Snapchat of all places, or the leak is real.

I think Banjo was teased in the Everyone is Here trailer...

At the end of the trailer, Yoshi is inexplicably shown laying an egg of Luigi.
I looked into this months ago but I thought my theories were too hair-brained. However, considering recent events I don't think they're AS crazy anymore..
4 things stuck out to me about this scene.

1. Obviously it happened after the Title Screen.
2. Both characters are green.
3. The character's numbers are 5 & 9.
4. Luigi missiles on to screen, lays down with his taunt and Yoshi lays him in an egg.

There may be more or less to the messaging of this scene but here are some things I've come up with.

• Smashbros' 59th character is Duck Hunt Duo. This combined with Yoshi laying an egg of Luigi could have been a hint to Banjo Kazooie. It wouldn't surprise me if Sakurai did this, considering his red eyes tweet and the golden sun battle reference. Both characters being green could also be a possible reference to Microsoft and the Xbox.
• These 2 characters appearing after the title screen could be a possible allusion to 2 add on characters available post launch. From the Grinch leak, we know there are 6 echo fighters and 10 newcomers. Perhaps the 5 and 9 represent the number of echo fighters/newcomers in the base game.

If anybody can think of other conclusions let us know. Regardless of my theories, there was definitely SOMETHING going on with this scene in the trailer.

For the 100th time dudes, goddamn. The reason the Grinch leak has legitimacy isn't because of the roster image, Jesus Christ, but because of the CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING IT.

Ofc anyone could fake the Smash Mural. That's never been the reason people clung to it. People believe it, because EVERYTHING ELSE ABOUT IT MAKES IT SEEMS ACTUALLY LEGIT. That's why the background debunk is so ****ing ********. Because none of us are hung up on the quality of something that's relatively easy to fake, but rather the insane CIRCUMSTANCES that it would take for this to be fake in the first place.

Is it REALLY that hard for people to understand that? The reason this makes the Rayman leak look like a goddamn joke, is because that proved that anyone could put any effort into making a leak look AUTHENTIC. But NO ONE has ever tried to legitimize a leak by providing an identity, and a company, and other authentic material made by a professional, putting ALL these individuals and companies at risk in the process. As well as creating fake promo material for ANOTHER totally random product, just to prove you really ARE someone who works in this field and handles this sort of material. And then casually set up a trail of breadcrumbs for internet detectives to follow and discover. And the effort necessary to fake this, is MONUMENTALLY larger than any leak ever. That's what makes this real, not the goddamn image, holy ****.

And the timing to make this leak be what it is... good damn, it would be probably biggest downer in Smash's speculation history. The most diabolical kind we'd have ever seen.

I'd hate to go back on probably spinning on around with Ken and Incineroar only if this leak's proven to be such humongous hoax. So much put to it just to really go this far... I'd be questioning the humanity by that point.

Not really using this to prove any side, but I do find it interesting that the leaked mural has more similarities to the Simon Belmont mural than the Isabelle mural. Forgive the poor gif comparisons.

Simon Belmot: Dr. Mario, Ice Climbers, Game & Watch identicle. Captain Falcon, Robin, King Dedede, Meta Knight, Ryu, Palutena, Ridley identicle.

Isabelle: All previous mentioned have now been shifted back.

Not saying that this disproves or proves anything, but I thought it was an interesting thing to see. If this leak is legit, then maybe they decided that they truly needed to use as much room as possible and to stop shrinking the fighters.

Huh, the version of the Isabelle banner I have has Dr. Mario and Mr. G&W in the same spot as the Belmont banner (only moved very, very slightly if at all)...

You are comparing the looping banner to the non looping banner, so I'd like to first compare it to the non-looping version, but this is interesting. Each update to the banner has pushed the cast further into the background, but the leak has pulled them forward.

This is an awesome finding, and I think that it plays both in favor and against the leak.
-In favor, because it may just be a loss in quality causing those artifacts
-Against, because since the artifacts are consistent between the several Smash pictures and the rest of the photo seems less distorced, maybe the leaker applied that specific filter on the pictures before printing them, to make sure they were blurry enough.

In support of the second option, the picture of the hanging cylinder thing on the left has a texture, and said texture is WAY MORE blurry than anything else in the photo. Maybe that's a closer look at the banner, and maybe it's not blurry because of the camera but because the picture is natively blurry.

Unfortunatelly I can't find the part of the banner matching with the one on the cylinder and can't compare, if anyone has better eye than me and a better monitor overall (my monitor sucks) that would help.

I would ask you something... Do you just personally think the leak is fake or do you have a personal reason to don't want it to be true?

The Chorus Kids kinda look like they're reacting to Ness' yo-yo AND Villager's net. Neat.

I can see how someone would perceive those bright spots near the bottom of Rider's little area there as the Mask's eyes and spikes, but it doesn't look like there's a body there. No limbs, no straw hat. Makes me think it's just the blur playing tricks and they're just highlights on the bike.

At this point, I want a Smash Speculation anime. It would last for 40 episodes on each part of Smash Spec. (Teaser Saga, E3 Saga, August Saga, Grinch Saga, Release is a 10 part finale).

Inbetween E3 and August should definitely be the "Drought Leak Saga" - I mean, did people already forget the insane amounts of leaks around that time?

Of course, there'd also be "Japan Quake Saga" inbetween August and Grinch-ones. That one's still remembered for such insane buildup, yet disappointing ending.
