I hope not, it's bad enough that Chris died (but still got to play the Ultimate demo before being claimed by death, luckily). Say what you will about Etika, his reactions are something of a tradition.

Maybe I just need to grin and bear it. Either that or play one of the sequels instead, which hopefully improved upon the game's issues.

The sequels aren't really stand alone (though that's not exactly a barrier to entry)... well, Dark Dawn is (it even has an in-game encyclopedia that explains stuff to you).

Good luck trying to emulate it though, Golden Sun Dark Dawn is apparently notoriously hard to emulate.

Sorry to be this guy but I took my first substantial break from the lightning-pace of this thread the last six hours or so (but it was ****ing cool to be online incidentally when this leak dropped couple nights ago at least; so sleep-deprived atm). Has anything significant happened? I left after the the general mood was turning resolutely sour towards the leak given the background stuff and doubts cast on this French guy's employment meaning anything (can't remember his name off the top of my head). I'm reading something about a new item and Isaac-Isabelle something-or-other?

I've been a total ghost/guest since it dropped, and I don't even have any emotional stake in the characters leaked, but I would love this to be a real thing mostly because I have even less enthusiasm for Kencineroar. Now Sora on the other hand is infinitely hype-worthy; he's about the only character imo whose single reveal outweighs the 7 leaked in terms of appeal.

Maybe he is going through something or it was just a joke he always does.

If it's a joke, he's going to get some huge backlash resulting from it.

All I'll say is that he got suspended from Twitter for using the N-word (-a ending), and the video he posted personally was nothing short of an energetic rant. After that, uh, his channel posted some weird content, and got removed. Strange, but I hope things are alright.

He said it afterwards, probably because there was only one character reveal in that whole Direct, after the five in the previous one. It's one of the reasons I don't fully believe the banner leak from a day or two ago. He wouldn't have said that if there were like 6-7 more characters to be announced within two months. That's the opposite of slowing down the pace.

Gotta say, I really think people are pushing it when saying that talking about the earthquake and Isaac thing is disrespectful. No one is saying that out of disrespect for the victims. If Nintendo had actually planned to show Isaac in that Direct, they wouldn't show him a week later out of respect. It's completely understandable.

And yes, of course. Even if they never planned to show him, they would have delayed it anyway.

The EQ topic is probably the only topic that I have zero tolerance for in this thread. Regardless of whether it's true or not it's something that should not be discussed, period. Look, I'm all for respecting tragic events, but I feel like the Isaac argument is grounded in some reality. There's a precedent for Nintendo moving around or completely not airing episodes of the Pokemon anime in response to tragic events such as earthquakes.

Why, this leak's weeks been great!

Although, if there's one terrible thing that's come out for this (outside of, if this is fake, someone impersonating someone and potentially ruining their life) it's the toxicity that this leak has caused. The stuff I see people say and do to each other has been horrible, and has ruined what would have been really fun speculation. Though, outside of the toxicity, it's livened things up to where I'm much more engaged.

It's not only Nintendo. It's a very widespread thing in the Japanese entertainment industry. From what I can think of, Ohranger, MGS2 and School Days all had their production/release either altered or delayed because of different tragedies.

Ya know, when I was talking about the possible Isaac section, I had to replace 5-6 accidental Earth-based puns to avoid sounding insensitive. It's trickier than it looks.

But I do think this is a possibility that shouldn't just be dismissed (though, we have no real evidence to back it up, other than it would have made next month's set of reveals less crowded, if this leak is real)
