Of course it won't stop but i find discussion about the Grinch leak foolish and unnecessary, people who act smug to get their point across and people who ignore the facts to push their own reality. The thread has become a war-zone of needless hostility, and in turn has become a pissing contest just to see who's right so the other side can gloat. Honestly, i don't know how some of you people can even be like this...why bother discussing things like this when we already know the grinch is a duckhunt echo with him and max.

I mean, didn't we already go over "this is still short of Smash 4's additions" and "yeah they slowed down reveals already it's been pretty much 2 months again with nada"?

instead of being a dingus, you could reason that based on sakurai's reputation with this sort of thing, taking his word as the gospel truth- whether or not it supports a character you really want - is unreasonable and isn't an argument either way. sakurai said a lot of things that he went back on.

That's giving it the benefit of the doubt when it doesn't even need that-- people have made the assumption that it's directly tied to the Banner deal when nothing about it has to whatsoever, and the fact there's a glaring error in it means if it is supposedly directly tied to the Banner leak... there's a decent-sized hole.

Some multi-lingual people can have weird gaps in their linguistic knowledge, and it's not all that difficult to swear in another language.

That aside, it's character list matches (beyond the erroneous "cuts") and fits the time-frame for the leak that supposedly "ruffled feathers".

Definitely. I do think there's a good point if his new company has no connection to Bandai Namco or Nintendo. However, all this conclusively proves is that if this is fake, this is a very elaborate hoax.

Very late and very out of date.

It was already discovered that this Eric character actually works at a very similar company (forget the exact name- APC PLV I think?) that is confirmed to have ties with Bamco. Please take a moment to be caught up before issuing out of date definitive statements.

They literally addressed that in the video which you'd know if you actually watched the whole thing. The important thing to take from this is that Marina had been confirmed to have Bamco as one of their clients, which was a good point in favor of the leak. Unfortunately, APC PLV has no such connections to Bamco on their website which makes this a huge shot on the leak's credibility.

I have to disagree. Unless Incineroar was DLC why would he be omitted from the final banner?

There's no way we could know for sure that the leak, if real, is the FINAL banner or not. There is a, however unlikely, world where both verg AND grinch are correct.

The Grinch leak already has evidence verifying it, that's why people are latching on. The proof has already been provided. If someone disagree with the leak, then the "burden of proof" is now on them to dispell the provided evidence or present their counter argument with something more substantial than "trust me, I know a guy."

That's the equivalent to, "my uncle works at Nintendo," it's completely meaningless.

I wasn't saying I agreed or disagreed with him.
I was just asking if that's where the "Serebii said it's fake" posts are stemming from, or if he actually commented that he believed it to be fake.

Oh, I hope so.

Because, Nintendo would be super pissed at both Universal, and Illumination, and would probably have to inflict some legal action, and also, maybe sever ties with the company. Which would be bad, because it means that the Nitendo land at Universal never gets built, but it also means, Illumination never makes the Mario movie.
