Yes I completely agree with most of these points (I don't think the 4chan leak is a coincidence, if this is fake, he either saw that leak or posted himself) When I said "this seems far from impossible" I meant that earnestly, not sarcastically.

Nobody saw the video because that's how snapchat works, it deletes is right after. And it is probably the prefered way of spreading this leak, real or fake, because of that.

You actually do have about 10 seconds to load a replay. You could turn on screen recording during that time and record the replay video, but you’d probably just use the replay to clarify that you just saw a Smash leak.

And as has already been established, A. People have CALLED the company the moment the leak was dropped and they said he DID still work there, there was no past tense until they came forward today. So we can't even say who is telling the truth there.

Since the day one when Sakurai started development, Medusa represents Kid Icarus therefore she is a chosen one because thats the game Sakurai himself worked on and he enjoyed it.. Oh and look around, they are adding more villains so obviously Medusa is in.. Oh and Sakurai was totally thinking about Kid Icarus Medusa when he added the Medusa Head in that Castlevania trailor.. So looking forward to seeing her soon, she will be iconic.

Sorry to break it to you but all of that is just pure conjecture and not actual proof. And there's really no way to 100% "prove" anyone is in at this point anyway so I'd highly suggest not counting on Medusa as being in and just hoping she is.

I think it's interesting because I can see two possibilities--either this is real, and the person framed him to avoid being caught himself, or this is fake, and for some reason is impersonating him and concocted this elaborate scenario to make it look real.

To be honest, neither seems likely.

I believe there will probably be a new Pokemon, although Incineroar isnt a good Pokemon, but not is he a bad Pokemon.. He's The Pokemon. Believe That.

What? That isn't hard to do. Some high up in the smash chain just discloses to a plethora of "insiders" that incineroar is in the game and there you go.

Multiple different sources were saying the same thing though, meaning unless there's a Super Source post game boss with the best stats in the game who has the highest Influence stat, multiple people involved with the game claimed Incineroar. I'm not in the gaming industry so maybe Il'm just tired but it feels odd

The game is nearly a month away, and Nintendo liked doing Directs for their big games when the game is nearly a month away.

News is coming, and most likely coming soon. I really don't see a reason to get so worked up about some of these things when this game's speculation phase is probably ending in another week or so anyway. Ah well, to each their own.

It's important for quite a number of people, some see this as their characters last chances to EVER get into smash. The major morale decrease if this turns out to be fake (i'm still 50-50) would be insane. Geno & Isaac fans have suffered for years and, a last crushing blow (even putting their potential of being DLC into question) would break peoples hearts.

I think those folks do have some merit in getting worked up. Not overly so, but at least passionately so.

Meh, Incineroar is the most commonly thrown around name for a Pokemon rep and he’s such an open secret its sort of suspicious. It can go either way though.

I will put some of my experience as a graphic designer to try to help you.
Do you see the place circled? The light is reflecting differently there, because the material is crooked at that point. In addition we have other points of this material that are a little crooked.

Some people are using the fact that we have inconsistencies between images because places in the image of the leak are different. But no, everything is the same, this is not an editing mark but a part of the printed material that is crooked.

You can see vaguely that the material is not 100% smooth. It forms a small curl upward, as if you were putting used paper on the table. The type of paper used in printing helps even more so.

A few things I could find that seems *really* unlikely for a fake:
Jigglypuff gains some limbs

Pit's sword is now complete (hard to tell but looks complete)

Daisy has her entire arm showing

Greninja has more tongue showing

Roy has his entire chest showing now

Some characters have been moved to more logical positions such as the miis and pichu

Quite a bit of effort for a fake, and i'm not unwilling to put that past someone, but I can't help but use Occam's razor here, that is, the simplest explanation is that it's a straight up leak with an unbelievably great cast.

The reason that we are so at each others throats right now is because we have gotten jack **** for new information in the past month. It is a month and a half away until launch and we haven't heard anything. I know that it's been shorter than any other game, but this hype cycle has been hands down the worst hype cycle in smash history. They dropped a metric ****ton of information in the first direct. Information that could have been given out piecemeal over a period of months through the blog. Instead, we are having an incredibly heated debate about the first possibly legitimate information we've gotten in a month and a half. Nintendo **** the bed with its marketing cycle this time around. So keep that in mind and be civil.

That being said... I need my boi Shadow so **** all of you that think this leak is fake.

Okay, can someone actually have a justifiable reason as to why Smash Ultimate's marketing has been "****ty" when all of you who say that whenever a Direct comes around then make a complete 180 and say "WOW, THAT WAS SPECTACULAR, THEY WERE SO ON POINT!!1" I see this so much and I'm done being silent about it when any of you try and say Smash Ultimate has terrible marketing yet do a 180. This has become the best hype cycle in Smash history, and you know that for a damn fact.

The Pic of the Days were ****ing terrible. They were only centralized on a social media platform exclusive to the Wii U - a dead console - and that was your only way of getting information. Half of the time? Needless information that NOBODY cared about. Some of the time? Veteran reveals. Some of the time, other kinda cool stuff.

The Smash Dojo!! was a great martyr of how to go about releasing Smash information in a good consistent manner, but it was mainly to give out little bits of new information. In this day and age with Nintendo giving Directs to release info, what use would a blog do? Smash Ultimate has this monacre of "EVERYONE IS HERE", so they're using the blog for that, and some new stuff like music here and there, and other tidbits. They're using it to celebrate the roster. Not to mention, they have to space out other game-related info too that isn't JUST Smash, so it becomes a juggling contest with a lot of things.

Literally, this is JUST like how Pokemon fans say the last game was ****, even though they loved all the hype surrounding it and the game, too. Happened with ORAS, X and Y, Sun and Moon, and no doubt will happen to Gen 8. So please, I want a logistical and justifiable list of reasons why Smash Ultimate's hype cycle has been trash, because most likely it's based on feelings.

I agree. Getting just Ken and Incineroar after seeing this leak would be really underwhelming, and I don't care if either are someone's most-wanted. It's really not a good trade after something big like this.

I'm restraining myself from posting J Jonah Jameson, but that post is wrong on many levels...
Just because she's from a franchise Sakurai worked on doesn't mean anything (Bandanna Dee says hi)
Also, the Medusa head thing in the Castlevania trailer was taken from the original Castlevania games. it's not a reference to KI Medusa. Much like how the chairs are probably not a reference to Skull kid and the clouds in K. Rool's Trailer are likely not a reference to Rayman..

It's just one guy who thinks Medusa is a lock and that Incineroar is in too. Incineroar or Medusa could be in but they're certainly not locks.

Certainly, though we'd honestly never have any way of knowing for sure.

I'd be pretty willing to say Verge was real the whole time, but that Incineroar is legitimate bait. IIRC going into Ultimate Decidueye was by far the most popular Gen 7 Pokemon and the most sensible one to 'leak', so in stark contrast Incineroar makes sense as an intentional bait character.

This is by no means confirmed, just my opinion. Someone higher up may have used Incineroar as failsafe to keep the roster from leaking, or covering it up if it did, and in a way, it must be working if every insider and their mother is plugging their ears just because 'muh Incineroar.'

(Still pouring one out for Noipoi , Ramen Tengoku , and all the other Incineroar fans if he really got hyped up this much and didn't make it)
