Something important I cant find now, but, somebody in ths thread made a post talking about how the snapchat compression system works and how it would affect the image.
It was the reason Jigglypuff's eyes were messed up, because of how the compression system prioritizes some colors over others so Jiggly's white part on its eyes got messed.
It was on this thread, I'm sure of it, but with the speed this is going it would be hard to find.

That's good info, could be a good point for a lot of weird inconsistencies like some characters looking like horrible blobs of a single color

There's no way you can tell me someone is risking their own job for a fake leak, and potentially the reputation of their current employer and a former location they worked at. Did it ever cross your mind that maybe. Just maybe. They just don't want people to get into false expectations if that leak is INDEED fake and can only use their influence because they can't risks their sources?

If someone was an actual insider they would put up or shut up (because why put their livelihood for weirdos online?). You either have the info and share it, or you be quiet and keep it to yourself and not waste everyone' time with attention-seeking fantasies. People who are in it to attract attention, followers, and "make a name for themselves" aren't actual insiders 9/10, and shouldn't have their fantasies indulged even if they are.

The reason that we are so at each others throats right now is because we have gotten jack **** for new information in the past month. It is a month and a half away until launch and we haven't heard anything. I know that it's been shorter than any other game, but this hype cycle has been hands down the worst hype cycle in smash history. They dropped a metric ****ton of information in the first direct. Information that could have been given out piecemeal over a period of months through the blog. Instead, we are having an incredibly heated debate about the first possibly legitimate information we've gotten in a month and a half. Nintendo **** the bed with its marketing cycle this time around. So keep that in mind and be civil.

That being said... I need my boi Shadow so **** all of you that think this leak is fake.

What? That isn't hard to do. Some high up in the smash chain just discloses to a plethora of "insiders" that incineroar is in the game and there you go.

I guess I'm benefiting by not having a dog in the fight, so to speak.

I know there are tons of "sides" and outcomes, but when it comes to the speculation the two major ones that have been it for a long time are either "Ken and Incineroar are our last two characters" or "the Grinch leak is real".

I'm not getting Elma or Phoenix Wright in base either way. Either we get a ton of cool characters confirmed and my friends who love Isaac are happy and I get to play as a Rhythm Heaven rep, or Incineroar is real and I get to play as a wrestler cat and one of my favorite 'mons.

I'm just glad we are all having a fun, frantic discussion. Ultimate has officially topped Brawl in terms of hype for me. I'm having a great time and I haven't been this excited for a game since high school. It's nice.

I don't want to accuse anyone and this is not refered to papagenos, but
Youtubers actually gain views if the leak discussion gets more intense (and possibly money if videos are monetized... I'm not a youuber and I don't know if it's possible to monetize videos talking about something like Smash Bros but I think it's possible as long as you use the brand for documentation).

There are people who have interest in spreading fake leaks, so it's not out of question that some people do this and even put a lot of effort in it.
Again, this is not refered to anyone specific, it's just that when we are talking about leaks and stuff, "why would they do that" is not really a solid point to discredit an option.

• Almost certaintly coincidental, there are a lot of leaks and some of them can just happen to line up.
• Lists of employees can be found for companies on Linkedin.
• Snapchat is ridiculously easy to mock up. No need to actually change a name.
• Why would they need Autocad exactly?
• I've already been over those disrepancies.
• The 'renders' are almost certainly low quality in reality.
• Why would they photoshop everyone back in rather than just... move them around a bit on the existing image?
• Wouldn't be too hard, probably just looked at the list of contractors, seen Illumination, and remembered the Grinch movie.
• The sources for images in almost all of the Grinch renders have already been found.
• Even if they did print it all out, as @staindgrey already pointed out, it'd cost 10 dollars maximum to print. It's also entirely possible they just threw it together on a stock image.
• Any evidence of the actual video?
• Again, Snapchat is ridiculously easy to mock up.

The important thing about this all is that we can't be so hostile to one another. At the end of the day, we're all users with opinions, and not a single one of us knows what's going to happen before the flop. Honestly, I'm seeing a lot of points thrown around by both sides that don't even have to be mutually exclusive.

IMO, the most likely scenario is, as Spawnwave rose, that this is either an incomplete banner for an earlier direct or that what he knows is DLC, which wouldn't be included. Nobody has to be wrong, because nothing actually contradicts.

Since the day one when Sakurai started development, Medusa represents Kid Icarus therefore she is a chosen one because thats the game Sakurai himself worked on and he enjoyed it.. Oh and look around, they are adding more villains so obviously Medusa is in.. Oh and Sakurai was totally thinking about Kid Icarus Medusa when he added the Medusa Head in that Castlevania trailor.. So looking forward to seeing her soon, she will be iconic.
