Until one of these insiders actually posts something of substance that can debunk the images, and it isn't just 'it's blurry so you can't be sure', 'people can edit these easily you know', or 'but that's more than what we thought we were getting!', all of them are talking out of their ***. For real. Until they actually back up their claims, I don't care what they have to say.

Also I already didn't like GameXplain but Andre being this smug makes me particularly distasteful of him.

I used to like GameXplain (back when Smash 4 was coming out), but something has put me off them in this speculation cycle. I have little to no interest in listening to their weekly blog discussions like I did 4 years ago.

Their conduct regarding this leak is probably a sign of what that reason is. *shrug*

That aside, I agree with your first point 100%, they can say all they like as much as they like, but it's all without substance, and they can't debunk the leak that way.

That's the issue I have with this reasoning, no ****ing Insiders would go and ruin their sources, breaking their trust and probably getting Blacklisted. That's why those people act smugly and how industry insiders usually knows things in advance and pass those as rumour, because it's the ONLY way for them to talk about it

As I've said previously, I know why they can't if they can't. But they're being the smug ones being coy about it saying "maybe this maybe that, it's this, but I can't tell you why." If they can say it, spill it. If they can't, zip it.

Can i just say that """"if"""" the """""rumors""""" are true about Sora @ The Game Awards, how ****ing big is that of a START to DLC content? That's ludicrously insane, yet fits The Game Awards so well.

As I said before, the perfect candidate for the Video Game Awards in terms of the DLC for Smash would be somebody that any gamer could appreciate.

Sora fits that bill quite snugly, in my humble opinion.

Insiders going against the leak damages it a lot, but I truly wonder if it’s because their sources have straight up seen the roster and said that’s not it or if it’s because they all heard Incineroar. At this point everyone is just saying “trust me”, besides that one guy who straight up admitted it’s because Incineroar isn’t in it. I understand not wanting to put your source in jeopardy but come on, “just trust me” isn’t a solid argument.

I'm taking a wait and see approach. There is a lot of things going for it due to the circumstances of the snapchat images around it such as the guy actually being an existing worker for Bamco, the Grinch, the banner not having any obvious flaws (at least so far), and the attention to detail in all areas. However, we also have all of the insiders, whom from what we've seen do know something about this game, all be either pretty skittish in supporting it, or outright denying. It's a really strange scenario where the evidence seems to fit, but the jury won't make the verdict, a case not helped since the latter has knowledge of other evidence that's being withheld.

It definitely will be interesting to see how this evolves, I would be happy if this was real though with this since everything about it is positive to me (Banjo? Mach Rider as a cool Retro Rep? MH and Dixie considered as characters? I'll take it!).

Just to make this clear:

The alleged guy who made the Snapchat post doesn't work FOR Bandai Namco. He works for a company who works with Bandai Namco.

Further, Bandai Namco is not responsible for marketing the game. Nintendo is. It would be very bizarre if they were responsible for sending these things instead of Europe's Nintendo HQ.

Honestly for me pokemon is such a massive franchise with such a gigantic pool of characters to pull from that I really don't think 1 from the current gen each smash is too much.

They wouldn't reveal Zelda's Breath of the wild first gameplay at the VGA on Wii U alongside Aonuma and Miyamoto

There was a 4chan leak, 28 of September,, that said that Vergeben and other leaks were trying to fool us and listed the final newcomers, plus some information. The leak uses a lot of bad language so I will not upload a print screen but quote what matters:

Isn't this a whole lot more believable/harder to fake than ESRB was at the time? Let's just say the screenshots at least; the video was the nail in the coffin.

The ESRB video, right ? There's no video evidence for this one.
But since people reached out the company and confirmed Eric worked there... it's a lot harder to believe that someone would put his job in danger to create a fake leak. He also deleted his LinkedIn page...

Bayo 3 was revealed there along with BOTW's DLC.
If the DLC is related to DQ like what LeakyPandy is suggesting, then that's a bit weird (seeing how Japanese focused that reveal would be) though.

I agree with you. No inside worth their salt is going to betray their sources. I just wish that the insiders would shut up and not tease people that they know something. Really annoying to people who aren't in their same position.

Potential DLC will be interesting too, as the potential fighter pool has gotten a lot shallower, with the leaks, we may end up seeing an AT or two, get promoted to playable fighter via DLC

Have you guys noticed how Samus's left leg disappears behind Zelda in the "leak" ? In the actual banner's perspective, Samus seems much closer to the "camera", which means that Samus' leg should hide Zelda's face in the leak.
And also Diddy kong's jet makes a yellow light on Pitt's right wing in the official banner; but, in the "leak", that yellow light remains in the same spot although Diddy kong got moved a little lower. Pay close attention

Don’t take this the wrong way guys but Smash Ultimate speculation has been the definition of “****show” ....... to a T. I love it but seriously, aren’t people’s necks getting hurt from looking back and forth between leaks and rumors like...every 20 minutes? It’s like a tug of war with us in the middle between “credible” leakers.

Brawl had it’s cringe moments as did Smash 4 but this...... it’s a whole different playing field and one I am unfamiliar to.

I think the question is how and does he know 100% about Sora DIRECTLY, because it's so, SO weird that every time a Smash video comes from him, he mentions Sora as a "guess", even more so with the last Smash video he released about the "Steve leak" when mentioning The Game Awards.

Why would they hide Zelda's face though? Just move Samus behind, not too hard.

Also that "light" you're referring to is not Diddy Kong's jet barrels but a part of Pichu's thunderbolt.

To be fair Nintendo has been doing TGA reveals for years now. We got Zelda DLC and Bayo 3 last year, for example.

Because based on the actual banner you can see that Zelda way behind her and smaller, it owuldn't make sense to move her behind without making her smaller as well.
As for Pichu's sparkle I'm not conviced at all.
