September was a repeat of July, though.

Kingdom Hearts fans are probably laughting at us for this.

And they have good reasons, because they waited way more than us.

I've been waiting for Kingdom Hearts III since I believe 2006. I also waited for Luigi's Mansion 2. And for Animal Crossing Switch. I was also there for all of Smash 4's prerelease, including the time it got announced before even starting development.

Let me tell ya, these things teach you some good lessons in patience, lol.

I waited years for Crash and Spyro's return, a new Metroid game that isn't Other M or Federation Force and new Godzilla movies after Final Wars.

Sakurai hasn't failed to market this game and honestly it's Smash Brothers. It markets itself at this point.

Having waited like 10 years for another Marvel vs Capcom after MVC2, 10 Years for a "2D" DBZ fighting game after Burst Limit(Which I didn't like as much as Budokai 3), nearly 8 years for Mega Man 11 and Samus Returns. And 5 years for another good Spider-Man game I'll be fine waiting for more Smash news.

Honestly, I'm more interested in hearing some of the weirder choices of characters people support, or their pipe dream characters because it's nice seeing people get hyped up over some stuff as long as they aren't assholes about it.

I've waited 17 years for K.Rool to join Smash, 10 years for him to appear in a new Nintendo game, I too waited for Luigi's Mansion 2 (even if the game was a mild disappointment), I'm still waiting on a new F-Zero...., I've waited over 20 years for a good classic 2D Sonic game before Mania came out.

Depends really. You're not counting down the days so it lifts that weight off your shoulder but you also start going a bit nuts trying to find anything that hints at anything.

But he lets you decide who enters in each surviving half.

Who do you keep alive?

For me it goes like this:

Smash 64:Mario, Link, Samus, Captain Falcon, Donkey Kong and Pikachu

Melee: Zelda, Mewtwo, Bowser, Ganondorf, Peach, Marth and Mr. Game & Watch

Brawl: Diddy Kong, Wario, Sonic, Snake, Ike, Olimar, Pokémon Trainer, Zero Suit Samus and Pit

Smash 4: Megaman, Pac-Man, Daraen, Bowsy, Palutena, Greninja, Villager and Ryu.

Ah, another day another fun question.



The original 12 will remain alive.

That's kinda how I feel. Smash already has pretty much every video game character I could really want--It's only really Banjo and Crash (I'd even settle on just the former, completing my dreams, but I feel like the latter *has* to happen at some point).

I've said it before and I'll say it again. After Sakurai announced "We may have gone overboard with reveals they will slow down" and the whole Vergeban leak I NEVER expected anything in October. My money is on the final Smash Direct taking place on Nov. 2nd. The same day the bundle, GCN controller/adaptor, and Smash pro controllers hit store shelves. From a marketing standpoint it only makes since it gives the game one last big push and pushes people to run to store shelves and buy Smash Switch bundles for the holidays and before Black Friday. The final direct will show off Spirits and online mode. Show off the last 2 newcomers and like 3 echoes. My predictions are Incineroar and Geno as the final newcomers. The last 3 echoes are Shadow, Ken, and either Dixie or Medusa. The Direct will end with Ultimate being available for pre-load on the eshop OR the announcement of a Test Smash sometime before release (obviously exclusive to Switch Online members).

Actually a Nov 1st direct makes a lot of sense, the day before those are released in stores. I could see that happening.

That area has kind have been my expected deadline for news. I'm almost positive we will hear "something" by November 2nd. Which really isn't that far.

Honestly I think back to the wait before E3...idk what it was but that last month practically killed me lol. I don't think these next two months will be like that at all.

Most of what I want outside of the ones I already got have unfortunately been deconfirmed (rest in peace, Waluigi and Ashley. ;( ), and the only two I have left on my wishlist I feel are reasonable and potentially likely are probably gonna have to wait for DLC (Octolings and Bandana Dee).

Some of the more out there or unlikely wants I have, though, are these:

All my signature choices are out there to some extent, outside of maybe Elma.

-Marina Liteyears is someone I've wanted since I played Mischief Makers on the N64. Since Melee she's been my pipe dream that never died despite being obscure.
-Joker and 2B's games aren't even on Nintendo consoles. Joker at least will be in PQ2 but it's still not the same.
-Sophie from Style Savvy is out-there because despite the game having good sales it's very specific to a demographic and games like it are never taken seriously in the larger gaming community.
-Travis Touchdown was in two Wii games and an upcoming Switch game and Suda wants him in but he's also a foul-mouthed loser with a lightsaber and NMH was a niche series.
-Agent J was only in the American version of Ouendan, and as much as I loved the EBA being trophies I want them playable or at least as an assist along with the Ouendan!

But if we are getting super wild and talking about our giant crossover pipe dreams...

-I ACTUALLY want James Bond. The reaction would be priceless and GoldenEye 007 is incredibly significant.
-Same with Scrooge McDuck. I love DuckTales as a game and as a franchise and I love the character.
-a Goku Mii costume would be funny
-PaRappa would be insane to me. I was obsessed with that series as a kid.
-a Mega Man Battle Network rep would be amazing! I loved the Mii costume and his cameo in Mega's final smash but I love the EXE series from the bottom of my heart so to see EXE or Bass.EXE or Colonel would be awesome.
-Reimu Hakurei would be so fun and the music would be astounding

And on and on...impossible dreams, but it's fun to dream! I love hearing people get excited for their weirdest choices.

Sora is more likely than people think, that's for sure.

One character that haunts me is Doomguy: he can join Smash, but i never get to decide a neat moveset for him.

My problem most of the time relies on his recovery and the special attacks.

Seriously though Robobot was such an incredible game and having a character to represent the Robobot mechanic would rule. Plus she's cute!

My most off-beat choice has to be Earthworm Jim, mainly because the status of his IP is rather unknown at the moment, and he never got much relevance after the 90s.
