Didn't know that. You know, we were close to having both her and Phoenix Wright in Tatsunoko vs Capcom as well, right?
Now I'm sad. Capcom why. ; - ;

It was probably deleted by a mod, the mods there tend to delete any "leak" posted directly to there (though making threads reporting on "leaks" that occur elsewhere seem to be fine), including when Vergeben tried posting his "BIG Smash leaks" thread there pre-E3. In fact the mods there being trigger happy with leak threads is part of what got the imgur "leak" so much attention back then.https://www.reddit.com/r/smashbros/comments/9o0dig/did_anyone_else_get_a_notification_from_youtube/
That reddit post has been deleted.
The jig is up, it was a troll this whole time.

The guy who posted it claims he didn't delete it and stands by what he said, while claiming some other people on reddit and Twitter said they saw it.
Ninkendo started a livestream for direct reaction by mistakeWhat's this about?
Ehh, not quite sure Isabelle would've been the most hype thing to have ended a Smash direct on.Personaly, I think if they switched Isabelle with K.Rool, the mood right now would've been better.
Smash Direct would've still been good with the Belmonts reveal, and we would be more happy with the more recent reveal of a fan favourite
You mean a smash direct? Is there a screenshot?Ninkendo started a livestream for direct reaction by mistake
Remember that sometimes reviewers are denied to show certain stuff. You know what I just thought of?
Review copies.
They're a thing that will probably happen no more than 2 weeks before launch. I mean, Smash Wii U had them, and that's how we found out about the unlockable stages in that game as well as the event matches (someone broke NDA then iirc). This basically suggests two things.
- We'll probably get a Smash Direct before then
- We'll have a ton of juicy gameplay footage to analyze two weeks before launch, depending on what the NDA for reviewers will be.
Yeah. That's what an NDA is. A non-disclosure agreement. Nintendo will send reviewers copies of the game under the condition that they are not allowed to show certain stuff. But I know one guy deep in Youtube with a review copy decided to break NDA for Smash Wii U, and that's how we found out about the unlockable stages early.Remember that sometimes reviewers are denied to show certain stuff.
Certain major channels like GameXPlain will probably be allowed to share footage during release week, but I wouldn't get my hopes up for anything earlier than that, unfortunately. For big games like Smash, Nintendo's NDAs pretty much last up to until like a day or two before launch, and even then reviewers aren't allowed to show the full game (Spirits content is probably going to be under heavy NDA depending on what it is).You know what I just thought of?

A guy on reddit made a thread there claiming he got a notification on youtube about Nintendo streaming a Smash Ultimate Direct, supposedly in mistake as clicking on the notification lead to nothing. A few other people claimed to have seen the same thing, though whether they're genuine and not just jumping on to troll people remains suspicious, especially when one of them got caught faking "evidence".What's this about?
srry, the most I can give is a link to the apology tweetYou mean a smash direct? Is there a screenshot?
Oof. So it really was an accident? You think he knows something we don't?srry, the most I can give is a link to the apology tweet

Nah, probaly pressed the button too soonOof. So it really was an accident? You think he knows something we don't?
You are right, but I was thinking about the new characters, not the returning veterans haha should have cleared that up.Well in countering the DLC point. 3 3rd parties against, 4 1st parties isn’t mostly, in fact that was kind of a balance I liked.
I hope for Crash and Banjo in regards to DLC.You are right, but I was thinking about the new characters, not the returning veterans haha should have cleared that up.
That's why I've always been fairly confident that mid November is likely the latest we will be getting news.Yeah. That's what an NDA is. A non-disclosure agreement. You quite literally answered my question above without even seeing the message in the first place. Impressive. Impressive...Not at all a popular opinion, but I hope DLC sticks to mostly first party this go around. I feel like Smash has plenty of 3rd party characters right now, I personally would like to see more first party stuff.
To each their own, though. That's just how I feel.
I guess I didn't wanted and in the game?Okay, I see discussion has died down a bit. I guess I'll ask another question to increase it. What is the most unpopular opinion you hold in Smash, across all games? Or opinions, if you have multiple.
I agree with Sakurai's reasoning of not adding something similar to SSE in Sm4shOkay, I see discussion has died down a bit. I guess I'll ask another question to increase it. What is the most unpopular opinion you hold in Smash, across all games? Or opinions, if you have multiple.
Sylux would be a cool first party DLC for me alongside Crash, Banjo and Dixie. Not at all a popular opinion, but I hope DLC sticks to mostly first party this go around. I feel like Smash has plenty of 3rd party characters right now, I personally would like to see more first party stuff.

It might be due to too much work too (two games at the same time), but yeah, I agree. What's the point of working so hard to put something to the game when people don't even need to buy the game for the experience it?I agree with Sakurai's reasoning of not adding something similar to SSE in Sm4sh
Its childish but I'm childish too
Wasn't Adventure Mode scrapped to prevent another bunch of leaks of the cutscenes? It might be due to too much work too (two games at the same time), but yeah, I agree. What's the point of working so hard to put something to the game when people don't even need to buy the game for the experience it?
Sylux would also be a means of promoting Metroid Prime 4 but at the same time he's one of those characters I have mixed feelings on because there's the potential of him, Kanden, Noxus, Spire, Trace and Weavel as bosses you fight all at once which would be very ideal and different from other boss fights...Sylux would be a cool first party DLC for me alongside Crash, Banjo and Dixie.
Hey, your're not alone. K. Rool kinda underwhelmed me too...And I might be one of the few people here who wasn't very hyped for . Not a terrible addition, but I get bored looking at him.
Brawl is pretty good!Okay, I see discussion has died down a bit. I guess I'll ask another question to increase it. What is the most unpopular opinion you hold in Smash, across all games? Or opinions, if you have multiple.
I don't know much of mine but I do know that, Corrin fans, it's okay to just say "I enjoy the character and his inclusion and that's just how I feel" instead of trying to convince me with an essay on why Corrin should be in the gameOkay, I see discussion has died down a bit. I guess I'll ask another question to increase it. What is the most unpopular opinion you hold in Smash, across all games? Or opinions, if you have multiple.
Nah, Sakurai didnt like the fact people just uploaded them to video streaming sites and decided to drop itWasn't Adventure Mode scrapped to prevent another bunch of leaks of the cutscenes?
I dunno if it's exactly an unpopular opinion, as there's only a very specific group of people who would argue with me, but I personally think Melee was the worst Smash game.Okay, I see discussion has died down a bit. I guess I'll ask another question to increase it. What is the most unpopular opinion you hold in Smash, across all games? Or opinions, if you have multiple.
Agreed on all of them. I like boy Corrin better, too, FE has a lot of cool characters and K.Rool really feels boring moveset wise. For me, male Corrin is the better one, no joke. I also wouldn't mind 10 more FE characters if Sakurai was willing to add that many. And I might be one of the few people here who wasn't very hyped for . Not a terrible addition, but I get bored looking at him.
Yep, Sakurai said that but there is no way they could've fit an Adventure Mode like in Brawl while developing a game for two consoles at the same time, so there's a big chance that was also a factor.Wasn't Adventure Mode scrapped to prevent another bunch of leaks of the cutscenes?
That would be dope.Sylux would also be a means of promoting Metroid Prime 4 but at the same time he's one of those characters I have mixed feelings on because there's the potential of him, Kanden, Noxus, Spire, Trace and Weavel as bosses you fight all at once which would be very ideal and different from other boss fights...
I feel like Smash needed more playable villains, doh.Hey, your're not alone. K. Rool kinda underwhelmed me too...
I'm still happy for his fans, though
In terms of ones, I can say without getting too much backlash, I will say that Brawl isn't as bad as all of the Melee purists say it is. Sure there's tripping, but that rarely happens... And Brawl is probably the best Smash game to play at parties... Also, the story mode was pretty dope...Okay, I see discussion has died down a bit. I guess I'll ask another question to increase it. What is the most unpopular opinion you hold in Smash, across all games? Or opinions, if you have multiple.
Interestingly, Brawl was the first Smash game I ever knew, but I was so young when I saw a paper with it in it, then I never really thought of it later. However, Meta Knight, the Brawl terror, got me wanting Smash 4 when I learned he was in it. I never exactly mained him, but he became one of my top picks anyway.Brawl is pretty good!
