If the magazine was talking about Cloud in Ultimate there’s plenty of smash material to use instead of his old FF7 promo art.

Also, the screen shots above it are taken from Brawl’s E3 reveal trailer.

I’m not sure if Zeraora even existed at the time for concept art. Didn’t dataminers only find info about him in the Ultra games?

Indeed, he was only in Ultra. But it's really likely he was in concept art stages anyway, especially with how many designs Gamefreak toss around like nothing and Ultra was likely planned from the start.

And for what it's worth, there was slight evidence in the SM datamines that Dusk Lycanroc was gonna happen eventually. With some weird placeholder data for a third Lycanroc.

So I don't think it's too out there for Zeraora to have existed as far back 2015.

It's a new mythical pokemon that wasn't added until Ultra Sun/ Moon and wasn't officially revealed until a year after the game came out.

Like most mythical pokemon it barely exists in the games

It's a pokemon EXCLUSIVELY added to sell movie tickets.
It probably wasn't even a thing when the roster was decided.

New mythical pokemon that's being released in events sporadically

It personally looks like a middle stage evolution, not a mythical. And I'm INSANELY disappointed it's not electric-fighting. But it's not a terrible design; just a bad mythical design imo.

idk while I'm ok with the idea of echoes. There's really only 2-3 I like enough (Dark Samus, Chrom, and Lucina. Richter's cool but I had no idea who he was before he came in Smash, I'm going to be using Simon more often. And I just don't give a damn about Daisy or Dark Pit xP Ken since he seems to be our only lock at this point I'll treat the same as Richter, don't dislike him but I'm probably not going to use him more then Ryu). Albeit I have no plans to actually main any of the echoes anyway.

Nah, you’re right about that. BW2’s got a great story. It made Gen 5 my third favorite Gen, after 4 and 7.

Yeah, Zeraora is kinda lame. It also doesn't slam into people while doing the T-Pose so he's not my favorite.

Black 2 and White 2 are a little weak on the story side, but they make up for it in sheer content.
In my opinion Black and White and Sun and Moon are the best Pokemon games, story wise.
Also, you probably shouldn't play Black 2 and White 2 without playing Black and White, as they are direct sequels.
