IIRC it has something to do with the tiny sparkles in the ink. They might be micro organisms or something that clear the ink. I think the sunken scrolls explain it but I don't remember.

Well if they didn't focus on pointless **** like equipment, Smash Tour, and two versions of the same game, I don't think it's that unrealistic.

Equipment in any fighting game, casual or competitive, is just a terrible idea imo lol. They should've saved those buffs for exclusively Smash Run buffs and Smash Tour Buffs. Smash Tour should have never existed. If you take that stuff out, then yeah, they could possibly do it.

I've said it already before the game was announced, and let me just say it again:
Getting the rights for Cloud was probably really ****ing expensive judging by how little FF content Sm4sh has.
Nintendo is porbably not going to invest more money on getting the rights for a character that only a fraction of a vocal minority wants and that most casual players probably don't even know because 3rd parties are supposed to attract a bigger audience.
How can a character be a guarantee if they don't even have a chance?

Nintendo usually has a two-month gap between directs if I remember correctly, so we could get one in May. I doubt it, though. They probably wouldn't have a direct that close to E3.

Honestly, though, with Metroid Prime 4 on the way, we don't really know what could happen with Ridley or even another character to rep the series. I think size alone isn't a reason to completely discredit a character. And this is coming from someone who doesn't really support Ridley.

Super Mario 3D World DID happen too late to affect her odds. Sakurai specifically picked her because of Galaxy. 3D World had no impact on his decision.

I thought that she was revealed right around that time, perhaps my memory is foggy. Greninja more or less adheres to the same idea, however.

I'm gonna bank on a Direct Mini before the end of April that might include a few small Smash teasers/details, and then the big reveal at E3. I just can't see them forcing their most rabid fanbase to wait 3 months for any information after a reveal, especially since it's pretty obvious there are plenty of things that could be revealed right now being within months of release.

I'm not a strong Geno supporter or anything, but the fact that Geno got a Mii Fighter costume at least shows us that Sakurai is aware of his popularity. Even if I don't think he's the most likely candidate, that has to account for something.

I feel the same way, I enjoy more of the old school characters anyway. I am still holding out hope that the Inklings are as fun as I believe them to be and for my boy, Spring Man. Other than that, I am just glad that Link will have a serviceable design again. I have not played him seriously since Melee. That alone is worth it, regardless of who we get.

Exactly, the biggest reveal for me will probably just be to see if Zelda also got the Breath of the Wild treatment. Last time, that was in my top three requests and this time is no different.

Yeah, I also love Link's new design! Breath of the Wild blew me away, and I'm not the most avid Zelda fan, and I'm glad it will affect at least Link's aesthetics this time around. I would love Springman to be in, as a kinda long-range Little Mac with some less power and better mobility, if it makes sense - and if you throw in some Metroid newcomer at all, even if it's Sylux given his alleged importance in MP4, it's just the icing on the cake!

I firmly believe that if we get a screenshot of Mario on a returning stage (So literally nothing new) we could spend 2 days discussing the specific shade of blue of Mario's overalls and how that says whether this is a port or a whole new game.

Chibi-Robo, Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Custom Robo, etc.

In terms of characters, I just want Shulk and Marth to return. I'm not going to get my expectations high and probably be disappointed. I'd like to see Megaman return, but I'm not going to get my hopes up.

For newcomers, I'm keeping myself relatively tame. Rex and Pyhrra, Spring Man, Takamaru, Travis Touchdown, Celica/FE16 Protagonist, and maybe more. I'd need to think. My third party picks (minus Travis) likely won't happen, like Sora, Agnes, Neku, Crash, Shovel Knight, and/or Doom Guy. I'll make a mock roster later to compose my thoughts, but that's what I would like to see.

Chibi-Robo, Advance Wars, Golden Sun, Custom Robo, etc.

Well as probably the biggest Custom Robo fan here (I still have/play both the GCN game and Arena on DS), I can comfortably say that there is absolutely nothing coming from that game, which makes me really sad because the games themselves are incredible and there is an unreal amount of potential for a Smash character there. That's a franchise that could really use a reboot. Chibi has some recency, and Golden Sun and Advance Wars both have at least a decent fanbase who are pretty vocal.
