I don't see why the Box + Card theory shouldn't be believed.

because people were POSITIVE we were getting Elma, Bandanna Dee, Isaac, Geno, Skull Kid, and Banjo in base.

So hypothetically, could that mean the supposed video in ten days is the final Smash direct and we just don't get anything in November?
I don't see us getting the last two reveals this month, and a Smash direct next month with no reveals.

Another prediction I can see is this. October reveals Isaac and Felix as an echo in a Lucina and Robin style reveal trailer.

I tweeted a drawing of Ridley that I made the day before the E3 presentation. Then it happened so I guess I'm a credible leaker now. Also one of my close friends said before the direct that Isabelle as a unique newcomer would be a unique surprise. Source and Source respectively.

Dunsparce is the Pokemon rep and the SE rep is Cactuar, except he reps Mario Sports Mix. Pack it up, everyone!

I guess my point is that I wouldn't really trust that statement too much especially when in this case both Ridley and Isabelle were pretty heavy in the leak department so that causes bandwaggons and stuff.

I admittedly still haven't finished EOV. Got bored of it after I stopped finding any challenge in the 4th stratum.

Looking at that card, it's a real thing that has a design that was actually printed rather than just being a potential digital rendition like with the box. The design is just too good to change, why print the card when it would have to change to have more than two more newcomers? Unless Nintendo is pulling some long-con on the speculation community with misinformation, I don't see why the Box + Card theory shouldn't be believed.

But likewise, if it's already printed and being sold, those two slots will *not* be filled in, it's a complete product as is. It doesn't support the Box Theory, moreso the "Isabelle's the final newcomer" that rarely, if anyone, believes.

I think this provides even more points and counterpoints for the box theory.

In the character of the day trailers it was changed to 70

The same thing happened before with the August direct and Isabelle so probably close probably the same way Lucina and Robin were revealed

And now we have a box theory 2.0 with the card 2 missing slots like last time but this time it’s actually printed and physical and has Isabelle so that doesn’t mean anything for it.

In fact, I think it was already 70, as each video we can see has an already-revealed character, with Isabelle being #70.

I mean I hope we get more than two more newcomers in base, but I'm not too bothered either way since DLC will very much be a thing; we're a long way from Ultimate being "content complete". We may even find out a bit of what's to come post-launch before the thing even drops.

So if only Ken and Incineroar are left for base? Eh, a bit underwhelming, certainly not my cup of tea character-wise, but whatever. The roster has been pretty great so far and we're far from finished.

Matches my predictions exactly, outside of Dixie Kong (and ofc Banjo being 71). No clue given how much time is left how Dixie Kong would be revealed. However, this is better than even my optimistic predictions, so I'd be completely happy with this being the final roster.

I'd be pretty satisfied too with it. Still would be hoping for Medusa, Black Shadow and Banjo (If Steve gets in over him in Base) for DLC though. That and Isaac fans would finally get their Golden Boy so I'd be happy for them.

Especially given how highly requested Isaac having been up there with King K. Rool and Ridley and other highly demanded characters like Bandana Dee, Banjo and Geno.
