Vergeben thinks the leaker may be legit, as their info meets in the middle sometimes, and there's stuff he knows that Verg doesn't know.

Granblue Fantasy character was claimed by the same leaker, however, so...

I don't even know what Granblue is other than that it's apparently a mobile game whose company Nintendo owns a 5% stake in.

LOL I did. Yeah, I mean... the ducks did not have the proper body build to be a playable fighter... and the hunter does not exist in the game since it's actually us, the people who play the NES game... so the logical choice was the dog itself.

That's why Duck Hunt is the way they are in Smash... you play as the dog, the duck is on the dog's back like a living weapon, and the hunter shoots from the fourth wall.

They still have Luigi's Mansion, F-Zero, Rhythm Heaven, Golden Sun, Majora's Mask, Wave Race, and many other franchises to choose content from.

Indeed. There's litterally hundreds of Nintendo IP out there. A lot of them are obscure, Japan only, or dead. But they still exist, and many of them have really cool characters that could be great fighters.

I just watching the Music page from offical webpage and the fascinating is that every series got 1 music sample until this day. Each new character reveal after E3 was attached with a music sample in the same or next week.

Ridley was announced, on homepage was the Brinstar Depths remix introduced with new webpage, followed by Spaltoon remix, because already announced
King K Rool and Castlevania was announced, in two wednesday on it a remix for Castlevania and Donkey Kong was revealed
Melinda was announced last week, this week we have got a sample of a remix for Animal Crossing

Does this mean we will do not get new F-Zero and Mario Fighter?

Katalina would break the Japanese internet if she was announced. Seriously Granblue Fantasy is HUUUUUUGE, like it's the biggest gatcha game hands down. People are willing to pay thousands of dollars just for that game.

Adding her would be such a smart choice, specially since Nintendo and Cygames are already making a game together. Props to the leaker, they did their homework

No. But, he's backing up a leaker who claims that Steve (from Minecraft) is playable. However, he also claims that Katalina (a character from a mobile-only game called Granblue Fantasy) is playable.

Honestly, with the way he talks about Steve, I'm going to assume his reluctance to name the SE character is because its actually in fact Geno he's heard.

He talks about how he doesn't want to say the name because he doesn't want to get badgered if its wrong, but simply mentions "maybe" for Steve being a character, simply because people would care less about Steve being an inclusion.

I can't think of any other SE character that would give Vergeben negative backlash other than Geno if he was wrong about it.

See? I had a reputation as the Duck Hunt Dog supporter during the pre-Brawl days on Nsider. It was a long shot, heh, but I believed that the impossible will eventually happen. That's what I had to be.... have faith and be stubborn and not give up... and eventually it will pay off.

Eh I won't be salty about him getting in and Banjo not even as DLC. This is Sakurai's game after all. He can do what he wants. All I can do is just hope for my most wants.

Unless it's completely due to Nintendo and Cygames having a healthy friendship due to that 5% of it Nintendo owns, and Dragalia Lost, I legit cannot see that here, ever.

I play it a lot myself, but there are 'much' bigger mobile games right now like Monster Strike or Fate.

It's not exactly obscure, it's one of the most successful mobile games of all time, spawned an anime, and will be getting a console game.

Seriously Granblue Fantasy is HUUUUUUGE, like it's the biggest gatcha game hands down.

It's still big, but it's been over taken by other games as the biggest (either FGO or BanG Dream depending on metrics)

Hang on, I can't find the source, but I definitely remember the Katalina/Steve leaker talking about a switch pro.

I mean, I don't wanna jump to conclusions, but the switch pro is like the "mother 3 is getting localised" of modern leakers. I can buy the idea of a switch pro, i can't buy the idea of one being in development enough to have specs before the ps5 specs are revealed, I mean I would guess the purpose of a switch pro would be to compete with the ps5 and possibly open up the door for developers to port their games to it instead of being left in the dust.
