Assuming Bayonetta isn't cut, what happens to the ESRB rating now if she's in the base game and not just DLC? Would she be enough to bump it up to T or M?

Kind of funny actually. I was driving to work yesterday (which is about a 50 minute commute on Thursdays) and I was listening to the Chrono Trigger soundtrack. It got me thinking that Chrono would be the perfect SE candid rate of Cloud doesn’t return and that orchestrated versions of these songs would be amazing in smash. That got me thinking about Chrono in Smash.

I won't lie to you, I wasn't interested in Mario Tennis and have never played one before, but damn it I'm getting it just for Chain Chomp.

I expect we'll probably see Smash around when the new online releases. Announce it now to drum up hype, have it as a heavy hitter at E3, and release soon(ish) afterwards.

M is a bit far-stretched though for a game like Smash. They managed to work Snake into a T rating, so the same can be said for Bayonetta

melee, not yet a teen, hoping for an amazing world
brawl was the vehicle for all my hype and eventual disappointment

Admit it, there's no way a entire new Smash Game to insert +40 characters in short time until 2018.
The lastest smash game was in 2018.
This is insane...

Smash 4 is almost 4 years old. Even if they started right after the vanilla Smash 4 was done, that’s a little over 3 years of development. Plenty of time especially if they’re reusing assets and with no 3DS version limiting things, the development can go a lot smoother. Basically, this is Smash 64 to Smash Bros Melee all over again.

I was 6 or 7 when Brawl was released. (I played the hell out of that).
I was a freshmen or softmore year of high school when 4 came out.

And Okami remaster is coming out the same year, by more than chance IMHO.
So, should we expect a huge amount of dogs in the next episode?
Or even just canines (Fennekin covered the dog slot in the fire starters wheel so Nintendo) like Tails, Krystal, Braixen and (this is bold af) and Renamon in the same game?
I think we should expect at least a return of Wolf O' Donnel.

To be fair, it also started with Mega Man and Wii Fit Trainer.

I think the '?' to the right of Peach is just the flames. Left side though, I genuinely thought it was Fox until I noticed Fox is on the right. My heart screams Wolf, but I don't think they'd put anyone new in these images. Still trying to wrap my head around this one.

My parents weren't even married when Smash 64 came out
I was not even a year old at the time of Melee's release
I was in kindergarten when Brawl came out. Didn't become a gamer until 2014 so I didn't play it
I was just starting middle school during Sm4sh, and gaming started taking over my life
Now I'm in 11th grade and I'm in the "girls are cute" phase and I will probably fail in everything

But honestly, the date and manner of presentation could potentially point it to being an enhanced port since that seems to be the rage recently. It also makes sense considering Smash 4 still isn’t that old.

But it could also be an entirely new game.

Orrrrrrrrr....and just hear me out......we could be getting both an ehanced port of Wii U as well as an entirely new game.

Transferred student who graduated with his Associate Degree with Wii U/3DS
Now I'm a graduate currently waiting on hearing what's up for my Masters application for the Switch

First off hate to burst someones bubble.... bayonetta isnt going anywhere. In fact the annoincement of bayo 3 could inply that she may get addional representation (probably an assistant trophy for rodin or jean)
That said a few things i hope for:
If this is smash 5 REMOVE RAGE.
please if you do the custom moves again let them come unlocked.
More classic stages
A real single player mode
A better online system
A game mechanic to tech throws.
Higher gravity in game (least likely to happen)

I've been off this forum for a million years, but the ride between the announcement and release of a Smash game is probably the most exciting time to be a gamer. Definitely a good time to come back. Hello World!

To casually jump in, I think what you guys are calling Yoshi is just Pit's wing. Proportions don't really match for it to be Yoshi, it'd have to be the fattest-nosed Yoshi of all time. Similarly, the thing between DK and Peach, I think is likely just more DK, but I'm not as convinced of that. And yeah, there's some confusion over the shape of the flames. I'd totally recommend looking at it in motion, straight from the source. It's easier to see what's a character and what's just fire.
