Oh golly, it's been a minute. That was fantastic.WEEK IN REVIEW IS BACK, *******!
Agreed, if this was a straight up port I feel like we’d have seen some gameplay first, and maybe an Inkling tease by the end.New game

Play with whoever you like; as long as you're happy with who you play as. FemCorrin is likely to be default for popularity reasons if both Corrins do return.I mean, presumably they'll have both options. I just play Femui more often than Mamui.
I'm sure they aren't that stupid to just reveal newcomers like that.Has anyone actually found any characters except for some veterans in the logo line-up?
Because aside from potentially confirming a few SSB4 vets, I'm starting to think we're reading a bit too much into it....
Haha not a chance. It was fun but it took a lot of effort to do that. I’ll just be helping mod the Switch forums, especially during the day time here in Japan. Plus, I’m up all hours thanks to a 6 month old so there’s that too.WEEK IN REVIEW IS BACK, *******!
It's mostly just predictable veterans from what I can tell. I'm pretty sure Sakurai knows his fanbase too well to not slip in any surprise characters in there for the fanbase to sniff out....Has anyone actually found any characters except for some veterans in the logo line-up?

Welcome to the Super Smash Bros. community, my dudeI'm starting to think we're reading a bit too much into it....
I mean, I'm not very surprised. I've been here for five years of my life, lol.Welcome to the Super Smash Bros. community, my dude
Haha, yeah, that's a good point.New game

I think classic Link was shown in the line up and then Champion Link was shown close up. Like a bait and Switch. So, Link has his BotW design. Really hoping it's just an alt costume, and
Ah, sorry then.No series "needs" any new character
I hate this mentality so much

That's fair enoughAh, sorry then.
I'm just hoping for a new fighter for my favorite franchise.
Welcome to the Smashboards, where everything is analyzed, over analyzed, discussed, fought, threads closed, and re-analyze until official confirmation...and then the cycle repeatsHas anyone actually found any characters except for some veterans in the logo line-up?

I can't see the roster being that large. Maybe upwards to 65, but 75+ seems a bit too much.Lol at people already talking about cuts. The roster for this game is going to be insane. 75+ at least.
Maybe a few cuts (I expect a range from 3 to 5), but lots of newcomers.
Yeah I'm more on the train that it'll be closer to a port rather than its own game. But here's hoping. The real question is: is this game really releasing in 2018? If so, the hype/marketing cycle is far shorter than any Smash game since the original. That's weird. Imagine it releases December 31st. At this point, 10 months from release, we were already full on "pic of the day" mode with Brawl and Sm4sh. Instead this time around we barely know about 10 characters in the game, and we have zero gameplay footage. Interesting.
I wouldn't complain if he got in, honestly.2018 really seems like Ghirahim's year to get into Smash.
Right. No series "needs" any new character

That doesn't mean anything.
That's game copyright, not character copyright. Namco doesn't own Smash Bros.
I'm not believing any sort of information until we hear it from Sakurai or at E-3. We're already over analyzing this
Well, well, aren't we optimistic?Lol at people already talking about cuts. The roster for this game is going to be insane. 75+ at least.

This really doesn't mean much.
This has already been explained.
