Legit, yeah. I hope Mallow at least gets some AT love if they're not playable (part of me hopes Sakurai will go above and beyond and make both Geno and Mallow playable, but Geno is wishful (pun intended) thinking enough I suppose).

That's a very common pose in Japan media. It's to indicate the character is lazy.

Yep. The sun thing is a storyboard technique for atmosphere. I've even say people say this hinted at Goku because episode 86 of Super used the sun as a background in a similar manner.

It's funner to think everything is connected in some sort of grander purpose than viewing life as a series of isolated, independent events.

Purpose or not, there can be no denying the connections that exist between pretty much anything. Gravity itself means that every celestial body in the universe directly affects the motion of another. If that wasn’t true, we wouldn’t revolve around a star for heat and light. If we didn’t have heat, nothing could grow even with the ingredients of life. Except for in subterranean areas close to the molten core. If life wasn’t possible on Earth, then we wouldn’t be here. And if we weren’t here(and this is the most important part) humanity would not have created all the things required to set the conditions where Smash Ultimate could be made.

Dunno if it's been talked about yet, and it may be a bit off-topic, but Ubisoft really knows how to handle Nintendo's property well.

First, it was an out-of-the-blue crossover between the Rabbids and Super Mario characters that was hated until it actually released and was deemed a surprisingly good game

Now? Most people are saying they should pitch Ubisoft in on the creation of a new Star Fox game for their extremely well-done implementation of the characters in StarLink. Even I have to admit that it's very charming.

Why can't Nintendo make a good star fox game themselves? Ubi$oft I don't want anywhere near a beloved ip like Star Fox

Lol I do say because as I said that's a very common pose to show a character is lazy.
He intentionally put it that way to exhibit that DK is a comical, lazy Kong.

As someone who's played Rhythm Heaven Fever, that pose Karate Joe does is extremely minor and only shows up once in Remix 7. And it's only there for about an entire second. If Sakurai was going to reference Karate Joe, why would he do such an obscure pose?

Even after how well they did with StarLink, which is based off of Star Fox?

Like, Ubisoft as a company is kinda crummy, but they've been getting better in recent years. They've also supported Nintendo a lot more than other third parties have, especially during the Wii U era (minus the Legends debacle, but that's largely forgotten).

Sure you can use that but you certainly shouldn't use the sun in a trailer.

The Rathalos image is just as much as a stretch as the DK posing is. I honestly never understood why people took it as an Isaac reference

While I also find the DK pose / Karate Joe correlation to be reaching I do hope Rhythm Heaven gets a character someday. Hopefully they're in the base roster but if not then hopefully as DLC.

Rhythm Heaven is wonderful and a character from it would be cool and creative to see in Smash.

I’m not sure why we still argue what people think they see? I know what you say is true, but people are always going to look for hints. Most of them are going to be coincidences. I think they’re aware of that at heart. And if they aren’t, telling them they’re probably wrong isn’t going to do much. That’s the nature of a subtle hint in the first place.

Whether it's meant to be a legit hint or a cute easter egg is another matter entirely. But I'm willing to give this the benefit of the doubt over the chairs and barrels.

Fair, but when you see people saying the sun in the K. Rool trailer is a hint at Goku it gets kinda ridiculous (not here, but I've seen it in places). I like my speculation to be more grounded. At least, it's the most interesting when it is for me personally.
