1. If Isaac and/or Skull Kid are not revealed, I will change my avatar to something "anti-Joker" related, as per the below quote

I have a problem with Boshi-

If he got in as a Yoshi echo... what series would he belong to? Because he's never been in a Yoshi game... He'd have to be a Mario series character which would be weird.

I think the Waluigi assist trophy is listed in the Wario series despite not appearing in a Wario Land/WarioWare game, so I could imagine in a scenario where Boshi gets in they could take creative liberties.

Nope. He's an extremely iconic character that people legit want to see in Smash. There's a small few, sure, but he has real supporters. There's a reason why we tried to have a proper support topic for him(it didn't work out, but the user very clearly wanted them in for how much they also had via a gaming history as is).

This kind of implication that characters are wanted for the memes only is silly. First, that shouldn't matter, as long as they're an actual character who existed for reasons beyond "lol meme" like Pepe is. Waluigi, Shrek, Goku, they're all actual full characters that happen to also have meme popularity for their own actions. It's true Shrek has pretty little legitimate support(even less than obscure characters like Brian, honestly, and I am only saying that because I've seen legitimately more than 10 people support him among this site and others. Best example I could think of, but you get the idea). Even then, if they like them for the meme... so what. It's still a valid reason. They have a reason they like the character, and that should be enough.

I mean, it's not like every character has a realistic shot of getting into Smash, so why should it matter if they legitimately still want the character(whether it's cause of memes or not). They either want them, don't care, or actively don't want them in. Overall, none of this is bad at all. Everybody has a right to their opinions, as long as they are given out constructively and in a civil fashion.

A lot of people unironically want him. Speaking from personal experience, at least, I've seen a surprisingly decent amount of people saying that'd legitimately like or at least be fine with Goku being in Smash Ultimate lately.

I don't want Goku at all, far from it, but it's not really fair to generalize like that.

Therefore, he has a zip percent of making the roster. Smash is supposed to be about video game characters, not video game and anime mixed and Goku appearing would stick out like a sore thumb. Why not just play Flash or any anime fighting games since those will be the clostest Goku will ever be in something like Smash.

Sakurai thought about including Bond and actually included Rob so that is by no means a deconfirm lol.

The E-Sports scene is waiting anxiously for the first annual Ultimate games later this year. Right now, our athletes are practicing in local games to keep their edge. After the final major 4 Game, things have slown down a bit as expected. And on an unrelated note, I am now a convert to the religion of Yothumen, and i would reccomend others join. Updates will come in as they happen

Mhm, yes, yep, good points, however

I think it's fair to say that, despite there being very real support, there is still quite a few people who do just want them for the memes. In fact one could even argue those who want them for the memes outweigh, perhaps even heavily outweigh, the geniune supporters.

Goku, Shrek and Freddy come to mind.

I know they all have real supporters but you take out the meme supporters you'd literally never hear about these guys in speculation in polls

And for tennis, the purple hat girl player scored a hole in one in the first quarter and cemented a lead all the way to the final quarter, winning 45-0.

ATs don't have symbols on the new Smashbros website, but Waluigi did have the Mario icon in Brawl and was sorted with Mario in Smash 4.
