What if the 'Spirits' mode is just a dating sim?

How would that work with ICs.

Reminder. Because I love this info.

Smash 4 and it’s team were reused for this game. It is the most seemless transition from one Smash to the next there has ever been. The efficiency of this Smash development cycle is greater than any other Smash before it.
All of the veterans brought back were much faster to plan than any newcomer would be. They knew basically how each should look and what their moveset would be, even if they decided to change some things.
So far, we have only seen 4 actual newcomers.

I am not undermining the work that each of these tasks, plus new stages, modes and updated models require. However, the same has been true in every iteration and we still ended up with more than expected every time.

I am not sure we’re ready.

To add to this, they didn't have to work on 2 games at once and the dev time is actually LONGER with Ultimate (~3 years by december) vs. 2.5 years on 4 (~March 2012- August 2014).

I personally feel like something is going on too, but I can't describe it. A personal feeling that he's going to throw us for a loop before release.

I don't think Ultimate is called "Ultimate" simply because every character is returning, but much more than that. It could be nothing, or it could literally be EVERYTHING. The fact that we keep getting more and more characters added to the banner attests to that.


Really think he is aiming to make the majority of fans happy. This is why the ballot is so important this time.

Someone said he was joking but I haven't seen confirmation on that either way.

I've been tuning in on SmashBoards (this thread specifically) almost every day for the past few weeks and have not once heard of a leaker that "memes Gothitelle"

It's not a leaker meming her, it's Tougon, the guy who's message you saw. 80% of his posts are Gothitelle meming, which you'd know if you 'check the board every day.'

To be fair, not even their original creator has specified what their relation is, beyond "just friends". Whether they're family, lovers or not is up to the individual player.

Guys, Ayumi, Gardevoir, Gothitelle (Gardevoir echo), PSY, Star Butterfly (Zelda echo), and Homura Akemi are on the way. Verge is a fraud, Loz18 is a mega fraud and I die every time someone thinks he's legit.

So, it was originally random characters (either gibberish or actual characters), but wasn't modified via inspect element and couldn't possibly be edited using the site's features. The users claim to have posted on the thread, but the moderators and admins claim it's fake, the post was supposedly posted in July, but it was also posted in August, but wasn't taken down until August???

Been waiting to use this one for a long time. Sums up this entire day of discussion.

Would a leaker passing off their leaks as "predictions" tell anyone that they're actually a leaker? This is a surefire way to fly under the radar of Nintendo. They can't do anything because they don't know if he has actual information or if he's just pulling **** out of nowhere.

This has been a personal theory of mine for a while, the fact that he had LoZ hiding out in his discord gave it a lot more validity in my eyes. He has sources that feed him info, he passes it off as prediction, and as you say Nintendo can't do jack about it.

He can get a bit smug at times as Chrono. mentioned but I do think his words should at the very least be considered.

We can say he is, but unless he comes out and says it himself we can't do anything.
