No it wasn't. Brawl & 3DS/Wii U had similar character coding, but Melee & 64's were different and things change. Those were also the trophy listings referenced, not characters, and Mario2 could be placeholder.

Is it fake, most likely, but not confirmed yet.

? The character coding for brawl and 4 HAD different character coding from Ultimate. That's my point. None of the names are in Japanese, even if you have a Japanese copy.

I'll retract my statement. It's not 100% confirmed fake, it's just that another big argument was made against it. A prominent dataminer released a video telling us that it likely is because the names found in Smash files are never in Japanese Romaji, they are mostly in English, even if the files are from a Japanese copy.


So no, it's not 100% confirmed fake, but we should remain skeptical until it either is deconfirmed (Gardevoir is a pokeball item still) or confirmed

You can use the same controller and pass it to the next person.

This is also the case for Smash 4, but it only really applies to the Pokemon. King K. Rool's Mii costume and trophy are called kingkrool, and Dark Samus's assist and trophy are both darksamus.

I mean I don't believe the Soren leak at all, but Soren is far from "some random guy" in the context of Fire Emblem. He's one of the more important Tellius characters. Still behind, at the very least, Ike, Micaiah, Elincia, and the Black Knight, but relatively important nonetheless.
