Anyway, if there was a Monster Hunter newcomer, I can guarantee you Yoshi would bite it in their trailer. Either that, or he'd get captured and sent off to whatever base said hunter uses.

It'd be easy. Monster Hunter sees Yoshi, thinks he's some new kind of monster, starts slashin' away. If nothing else, he'd get knocked away like Dedede did in K. Rool's trailer.

It just seemed like the three of you wrote him off like he was a weakling and didn't give him any respect for it. I know I might be the "Yoshi" guy around here but NOBODY stood up for him? That's sad...

I don't think that's necessarily true for K. Rool though. A lot of people who haven't even played his games got interested in the potential of him as a Smash fighter. Or at the very least, they could spend 10 minutes watching his boss battles on YouTube and "get it." I know I got someone in another thread interested in the character just by linking his DKC2 boss battle. Definitely more interest in him than most RPG protagonists from nonfans, at least.

Of course, lots of people that hadn't played his games (and some who did...) were also openly bashing him, but. Y'know.

Eh. DKC1 K.Rool is a boring fight to be frank. Mostly because it's just "Dodge the crown, dodge him, dodge the cannonballs" over and over.


DKC2 and 3 adds more mechanics that make it more interesting.

That's how I came to support K. Rool, I had no prior experiences with him going into Smash 4 speculation, but his fanbase really made me understand the appeal of his character, not just in terms of moveset but also the personality he'd bring into the game. I was sold pretty much immediately, and have since played and completed DKC, and I still have to get to the two sequels somewhere down the line.

Here's some more evidence in your favor:

• The only Pokemon representation in Smash so far are six Gen 1, one Gen 2, one Gen 4, and one Gen 6.
• Gardevoir is Gen 3 and Gothitelle is Gen 5.

If the leak is true, then all gens up to gen 6 will have fighter representation.

That's not evidence, if anything Sakurai has demonstrated the opposite - as in previous games, he's never cared for representing generations or typings of Pokemon. It's always been a fan rationale to justify the inclusion certain Pokemon.

Dalamadur literally destroys mountains almost daily and Valstrax can dive bomb Yoshi at a speed that will leave Yoshi nothing more than a red splatter on the ground. Not to mention Fatalis is considered a god.

I'd go with
- Bring back petey/King Boo
- King Frederick
- Gohma is probably the most iconic so him, or maybe pull a giga bowser sort of thing and have ganon
- Kraid/Mother Brain
- Andross obvi
- DJ Octavio
- Wispy woods is most iconic so that makes sense
- Either bring back rayquaza or use one of the other legendaries like reshiram and zekrom or something
- A telethia would be cool, metal face could come back too though
- Eggman obviously

So out of morbid curiosity I went on 4chan to try and find "leaks" for us to rip into. I ended up finding this:

I'm a bit skeptical, as we should be with any rumor. Mostly because they say the supposed SMRPG stage will have 10 tracks. Since it would most likely be considered a Mario stage it would have more music than that due to how much Mario music we're bound to have and the fact Sakurai said as long as it's part of a series it will have all the available music for that series.

Edit: It states Shadow will return as an assist trophy in the blacked out parts

Is it confirmed that there won't be custom.moves anymore? It feels so weird for Megaman and the MII fighters. And speaking of the latter, will costumes come back, or the ability to use your own mii?
If it's really just the standard mii fighters, they lose their appeal tremendously.
