Gen V is my favorite but I don’t personally find its plot any more engaging not with Gen VII. I do think Gen V had better characters than the other end though.Gen 5 imo.
I also personally liked Sun and Moon's plot.
I'll admit I have no interest in the remakes. And I thought like the first gen 1 remakes on GBA which I've played they would be keeping Blue. You literally did. Unless you mean a second Red and Blue remake, because we sure as **** don't have enough Kanto after a ****ton of megas, the Kanto starters in XY and Alolan Pokemon being Kanto only and Let's Go.
Gardevoir would be my choice.Who would you pick from gen 3?
I’d be all about the Sableye.
Zangoose is the only viable option.Who would you pick from gen 3?
I’d be all about the Sableye.
I don't hate Gen1, but if you asked me to sit down and play Red or Ruby from start to finish, I'd pick Ruby 100% of the time. Gen1 just isn't enjoyable to me with how dated it feels, which is really odd because I love a lot of older games like Kirby's Adventure or Mario Land 2... I just don't feel like Gen1 holds up.Every time a gen 1 hater hates on gen 1 my love for gen 1 grows more absolute.
It’s one of the few generations where the human characters are as likeable and as centerpoint as the Pokémon, which is what makes Gen 5 unique and special.Gen 5 imo.
I also personally liked Sun and Moon's plot.
Skitty, Beautifly, Kirlia, Metagross...Who would you pick from gen 3?
I’d be all about the Sableye.
That sounds great. I was having an IRL hypothetical conversation about which Octopath character would add the most to Smash gameplay-wise and I thought a dancer might really create a cool playstyle. Meloetta could fill a lot of that while also doing some other cool music themed stuff. If we got Meloetta as a Gen V newcomer what would be your reaction?
For the most part it isn't the gen itself. It's the genwunners. I like gen 1 (after all it's where my second favorite pokemon comes from!) but I prefer 3 and 5. I just get tired of the over saturation of gen 1 and how genwunners treat it like the perfect game when it obviously has flaws just like every game.Every time a gen 1 hater hates on gen 1 my love for gen 1 grows more absolute.
I'd take anyone honestly. All the starters are great. I've always loved Gardevoir too. I never thought about Sableye but that'd be an interesting concept for a fighter.Who would you pick from gen 3?
I’d be all about the Sableye.
She could also switch stance to from long range to close combat. Come to think of it we haven't seen Pokéball Meloetta, it's a small chance but if Sakurai added her to the game, He'd hear no complaints from me.That sounds great. Subtract 6.The moral of the story is that 6 is a bigger number than 0 and something should be done to make the difference smaller
Yeah that's exactly right. You all need to stop thinking of Pokemon as generational reps. Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo are not playable because they’re from Gen 1, they’re playable because they’re all incredibly popular, recognizable, and iconic. Pikachu, Charizard, and Mewtwo are pretty much THE faces of Pokemon.
No Pokemon has ever been added to represent a generation. The newer Pokemon were added to coincide with advertising that the Pokemon Company was doing or planning.
I want a gen 3 Pokemon because I love Gen 3. Nothing more, nothing less. It's about the only generation of Pokemon that'd excite me with a new fighter that I can think of.You all need to stop thinking of Pokemon as generational reps. I agree but there are still a lot of Pokémon from other generations that are very popular and would work well and have their own merits for inclusion as well. You all need to stop thinking of Pokemon as generational reps. I'll give Haxorus a chance then.A Gen V rep is needed and then I'll be happy with non-gen 1 representation and we can talk about gen 1 after.
As much as I **** on Kanto, no Kanto mons in a game with Pichu, Lucario and Greninja wouldn't feel rightSubtract 6.
No pokemon is represented, and yet, all are equal.
Everyone wins.
Nah, they just count Trainer as 1 and Echoes as separate fighters.I thought we were supposed to get 4 more non-echoes based on Vergeben or something? I remember it being something like 6 newcomers after Inkling/Ridley and we have Simon and K.Rool as two of them so four more... I don't really remember which things are which from which leaks, but I remember that number coming from someone who didn't seem completely false and it's about in line with what makes sense. I could totally believe that Amazon posted sales information too early like that. It's pretty interesting.
Are you sure you wanna go down that road? I get the feeling most here would argue there's way more Pokemon worthy on their own merits outside of Gen1 than within.Yeah that's exactly right.
Generations shouldn't be a free ticket for representation they should mean nothing. It's all about the Pokemon being judged on their own merits.
Really good list. Been wanting for Geno since brawl. Here's my guesses
Geno
Skull Kid
Isaac
Banjo Kazooie
Dixie
Isabelle
Well, Yveltal is my favorite Pokémon. Taking lives to replenish itself is . . . interesting.Exhibit A as to why Blastoise is ****ing rad:

Exhibit B:
Nothing, if Blastoise isn't already your favorite pokemon, I dunno what to do.
I've always hated Blastoise because I love Wartortle so much and Blastoise is the Pokemon that takes it away (and who am I to deny my Pokemon a chance to grow?). That's awesome though and I can't think of anything bad to say about Blastoise that's not "it's not Wartortle"Exhibit A as to why Blastoise is ****ing rad:

He was just my fav in my gen 3 team. I’m surprised others mentioned the other Pokémon in my gen 3 team. Breloom and Zangoose. For some reason I always liked Grovyle over Sceptile.I'd take anyone honestly. All the starters are great. I've always loved Gardevoir too. I never thought about Sableye but that'd be an interesting concept for a fighter.
Exhibit C: he has the best ****ing nickname in the first movie. Shellshocker. Bad ass name dude.Exhibit A as to why Blastoise is ****ing rad:
