I've known for like ever that Decidueye wasn't a guarantee, since there were at least three other frontrunners for the Alolamon Spot™ I've been banking on.

...But finding out Decidueye isn't in from a Vergeben leak just sucks all together, because not only do I not know which Alola Pokémon is in, but I also know it isn't my preferred choice. Like, at least say who it is so I know whether or not to be disappointed. :|

Sigh, now I'm hoping these rumors are fake even if I want Simon because I'll be disappointed that newcomers were spoiled again.

Also the best English Digimon song still pales in comparison to all the Japanese ones.

If it's not Decidueye, it could be Incineroar, Lycanroc, Mimikyu or a weird pick like Silvally or Tsareena.

I'm willing to agree to that, Biggest Dreamer will always be my favorite out of all of them.

Primarina, Gardevoir, Lycanroc, or Zeraora(ora)(ora) are possible. Although Primarina, and Lycanroc have a better chance of making it in than Zeraora(ora)(ora), and sadly Gardevoir.

Didn't Vergeben say that Raditz and Zarbon were in the DBFZ DLC? Because is certainly doesn't look that way, so I doubt he has fully legit info.

He said Goku Black would be DLC too.

He mentioned the TMNT in Injustice I think. And also got Daisy right. But he's gotten a lot wrong too.

At this point, the "wrong" things seem to be his sources and not so much him. Because he still guessed all of the rest of the DLC correctly, and specifically stated that the Raditz bit was from a different source. Hell, for all we know they could be next after 17 and Cooler.

He does get things wrong, yes, but not nearly to the extent people exaggerate. I feel like people are only really writing him off now because they don't really like what he's saying.

I'm willing to agree to that, Biggest Dreamer will always be my favorite out of all of them.

I don't know if I could pick a favourite out of the Digimon themes, tbh. I like them all for different reasons.

EDIT: Though that's just out of the anime. My favourite Digimon Opening is Accentier, which could actually get in Smash if Agumon gets in.

Primarina, Gardevoir, Lycanroc, or Zeraora(ora)(ora) are possible. Although Primarina, and Lycanroc have a better chance of making it in than Zeraora(ora)(ora), and sadly Gardevoir.

I'd put Gardevoir higher than Primarina and Zeraora, really.

I feel like people are only really writing him off now because they don't really like what he's saying.

You only know it's not Decidueye if you choose to believe Verg. We still don't have Simon.

Who was only said to be in the game, not told to us when the reveal was. It's not really a meaningful point anymore.

The fact he didn't tell us who it is is more annoying.

Also, I'd rather find out in gameplay/official screens/videos/etc. that a character is disconfirmed. A leaker doing it like this is... meh. Although official leaked footage would be okay to learn it that way, but that's under my first point anyway.

I can't say I'm rooting for Golisopod, but you have at least 1 other person would prefer them over the Gen VII starters, Lycanroc, and Mimikyu. It seems cool.

Well, to be fair I definitely wanted Decidueye first since he's my favorite Pokémon. But Golisopod is definitely second, he's just for such a rad design if u ask me

Incineroar is a heel. A heel is a villain character in wrestling who's there to generate "Heat" which is basically hate, from the audience and get them pumped up for the fight. So many people hating on Incineroar means he's doing his job!

Incineroar should not be classified as a villain though.
Just a natural aggressive animal like a tiger.

Plus in a way Incineroar is good for helping you defeat Team Skull and the Aether Foundation.

There's a chance we might not get a Gen 7 Pokemon at all. We could get a Pokemon from an older gen, a Gen 8 mon through DLC, or no Pokemon newcomer at all.

The Smash community gives him more credit for the Fighter Z leak than the Fighter Z community does.

If it were a Pokémon addition in general, I'd be heavily pushing Gengar here, but nope. It was stated that it was from Gen 7. So it's not Gengar, and it's not Gardevoir.

And for the record, I don't really want decidiueye, I just think people put too much faith on these "leaks".
Reminds me of the time everyone believe this horse **** leak because they guessed we'd be getting funko pops for pokemon.

You know people can discuss a potential leak and its credibility without fully believing in it? Everyone wasn't "believing" the Funko Pop leak when talking about it and its likelihood, I seen no one believing it was actually real, you can drop the snide attitude.

I just realized, doesn't this disprove that any character post-December 2015 is immediately disqualified?? Sun and Moon released in 2016.

Edit: I realize we all predicted Pokemon would be involved due to Greninja, but just thought I should point it out.

Pokemon is the explicit exception; Sakurai reserved a slot in his initial planned roster for an undecided gen 6 pokemon for Smash 4 and later chose it before the pokemon was even revealed to the public, and Sakurai would say later on this that it was an exception just for Pokemon. As such, a gen 7 pokemon is on the table (and Sun/Moon is six months closer to the project plan than X/Y was to Smash 4's, leaving it fully eligible), the only thing that the project plan's date means for Pokemon is that if a gen 7 pokemon is chosen, it won't be based off of popularity or other things that happened past it (such as Decidueye being in Pokken DX).

Honestly I'll be decently peeved if after seven generations of Pokémon, the Kanto Pokémon literally out number the non-Kanto Pokémon 2:1. Alola shouldn't be screwed over like Hoenn and Unova were.
