I’m hearing Lip got disconfirmed yet again due to Lip’s Stick returning as an item. I didn’t see it in the stream yet, has anyone else noticed it?

Also apparently is in the demo this time too?

Lip's Stick has been made aware of for a while now IIRC because of its flower effect. It doesn't necessarily deconfirm her I don't think, but we'll have to see.

Interesting. I had no idea that attack existed. In regards to Shulk though, his Final Smash could always be way, way more spoilery, they just haven't gone that far yet.

Well, most people barely know that Code Name STEAM exists, nevermind the fact there are FEA spoilers hidden within it haha.

Also a good point... It's odd how Smash gets so many people into more niche franchises, but is also willing to spoil the heck out of those niche franchises in their first appearances.

It's crazy to think that KI's villains (and the former extremist Viridi) have a higher chance of making it than Magnus and Phosphora.

Oh bummer i like lip, oh well i wasnt expecting her, and the lip stick doesnt necessarily deconfirm her but it certainly doesnt help to see it back as an item either.

Speaking of Lip, I'm surprised there wasn't a Lip Mii Costume in Smash 4.

You could have had the Mii Fighter wear equipment that starts you with a "Lip's Stick".

I'm pretty sure that only the last match had items on (that weren't smash balls). I didn't see it.
There are some things that still apply flower, some of the pokemon, and rest, so it may have just been that.

Ultimate looks so fun to me. I've never really been into watching smash before but this game just seems a lot funner. I'm really excited to try to get into the competitive scene for this game. Just need to figure out which character I'm gonna main

Well after Vergeben broke his news we had some people in here arguing the "Isabelle is too peaceful for Smash!" point, but we've also had some people going "oh Isabelle is a safe pick of course a fake leaker would claim her", so we're at about 50/50 right now.

Ah, so a few more days then.

I really liked the moment in that "Cosplay Match" where Ness managed to get back on the stage with PK Thunder and was then immediately KO'ed by Pikachu Libre's Forward Smash.

i felt like the whole custom moves / and mii costumes were a really poorly thought out concept that actually had a lot of potential.

basically they could have NOT given every character customs and spent all that time making a bunch of mii custom moves, make lots more weights and size variants for mii body types (like a huge bowser sized mii body type, to a tiny kirby/olimar sized one) and then made the mii "costumes" actual new renders for characters and not just a good looking body/hat with the off putting mii face and sizes. basically a REAL character creator with the backing of actual pre-rendered models for requested characters, but they have pre-set moves from a very large list of mii custom moves (because all those customs they made for everybody would have instead been time developing tons and tons of mii custom moves) that way we could have actually basically gotten geno/k rool/ashley/tails/heihachi etc... and people probably would have liked mii's a lot more since they were an easy grab-bag of hitboxes and attacks to create other characters from.

i dont know how realistic what im saying could have been but it always felt to me like they had the idea of custom moves and mii's and it wasnt thought threw fully and they spent a lot of time giving everyone tons of customs no one ended up using much while also failing to make the mii's customization all that appealing to anyone either... if they had combined those ideas more fully i feel like they could have made a lot of basically low-effort versions of highly requested characters, slightly better than what we got with mii costumes and they might have actually made some people happy to be able to play as those characters. i never felt like playing as a mii costume version of a character really satisfied that itch of wanting to play as that character for anyone, but i think it COULD have had it been a little bit better.

She is the only retro newcomer whom I have confidence on that possibly had bigger ballot popularity than Takamaru.

Posphera was a really minor character to begin with though. It's not weird to think that the much more prominent Viridi/Hades/Even Medusa have better shots than her.

At least Magnus has the boon of being playable for one level.
