This is a fighting game. I doubt anyone would care about their fave getting hurt.Isabelle is a cinnamon roll and all, but it is just a game, so her just getting obliterated by Ridley is not going to matter too much.
Plus I am focusing on winning and having fun.
It's not like Isabelle gets murdered, she'll be enthusiastically clapping for Ridley on the victory screen if she loses. Smash is canonically a friendly competition, not a death match.
Then she would live from the blast and not get hurt at all.
Getting mauled by Ridley is now a formality for anyone that enters Smash, just like getting eaten by Kirby.
And the people in that clip were killed by Nappa's attack. I'm not even that big of an Isabelle fan. If Isabelle being blown up by Ridley really hurts someone, they can just say she escaped on her parachute because it's Sunday.Then she would live from the blast and not get hurt at all.
I am sorry, but she is getting blasted on that ship whenever you like it or not.

This. I know I basically said the same but I do wanna reiterate that Smash is a friendly competition and not a death match. People act like this game is mortal combat and we're about to watch Isabelle's spine get torn out lol.

Well she is still getting blasted by Ridley's Final Smash either way. I guess you can say that she escaped through a parachute to avoid Ridley's attack, but the blast or it's shock wave if it had one would have to reach her because she is getting damaged by that final smash.
More saturation is good for me (I need Viridi and Viridi alone...3 characters and a Dark Pit)

Probably not very well at all, considering she was an Assist Trophy and possibly wouldn't be a unique fighter.
You can say all games, Smash canon is very loose. Even Subspace Emissary might be a child's scenario.

I like that about the series, it doesn't concern itself with convoluted scenarios and gets straight to the goods.
In regards to Homuras, the one in Senran Kagura is my second favorite character after Katsuragi (also, looking forward to Peach Ball on the Switch).
Although whether that continues with Ultimate is something we know nothing about. For all we know the Snake codecs may have gotten more priority over the Guidances.
Because "she's more of a researcher" is a PR answer.
I absolutely adore Isabelle, but once she's in the game she's getting smacked off-screen as fast as possible, no hesitation, no mercy. There are no friends in free-for-alls.

But did Sakurai post a picture of that Homura on his Twitter account? I think not. Homura Akemi is a shoe-in at this point. She's been in so many games, 2 Japan exclusive PSP games, 2 Japan exclusive mobile games, and cameos in many other Japan only games. She's the perfect choice for a globally recognizable and realizable gaming icon.
Aside from one small problem; she started out as an anime character, so that disqualifies her. She doesn't have much more chances than DB!Goku, sadly.
