Also, I love that it subtly confirmed that Bandana Dee is the Waddle Dee from Kirby 64

At this point, Falcon isn't even an F-Zero character, he's just a Smash icon (much like ROB)

I like to think that Nintendo is aware of Falcon’s popularity thanks to Smash, even introducing outsiders to F-Zero (myself included) and they’re aware of the fan demand for a new game, it’s just...they’re having trouble delivering on those demands

ROB’s days are up for certain tho, and Ness and Lucas’s series is officially finished...though for the latter their legacy can live on through digital releases

Kumazaki always delivers on the Kirby fan service.

I'd be fine with it if they added anyone new from F-Zero to the roster. I'd even take Mr. EAD at this point.

As fun as ROB is, I wouldn't mind too much if he got cut (though still a pity). May you soldier on, video game Johnny 5.

Oh my god. This game is being REALLY good with song distribution, unlike Smash 4 which was nothing short of awful. To put it into perspective, F-Zero only had ANOTHER VERSION OF MUTE CITY as new music in Smash 4, so this is more than welcome, even better if it's the Daytona guy let's goooooo.

I see i finally found some of my kind on this forum, i'm expecting to see FLOWER on Simon's stage. After all, it is the mascot song of modern BEMANI.

I've been out of the Bemani loop for a while unfortunately, but I've been wanting to at least be up to date with Pop'n again...
Also my username is from the character in all Pop'n CS Innocent songs ahaha (Mutsuki), it'll never leave me I guess

The main reason why people are upset that Ganondorf was/is a Falcon clone is because HE HAS been a falcon clone since melee. There's little reason to why he hasn't been flashed out yet since they had Brawl -> Smash4 to do it. Giving him a sword is a start.... even though his sword smashes are taken from other fighters (Cloud, Ike). Ganondorf is now a hybrid fighter of mostly Falcon with some touch of Cloud/Ike lol.

That's because people, like me, would be upset if he was changed. I couldn't ask for a better Ganondorf than the one in Ultimate. I like him the way he is now.

It's one thing when you give a character a new special or two, but removing the entirety of a character's move set is a disservice to fans of that character. It's pretty much the equivalent of cutting a character and replacing it. And that doesn't work for Ultimate's selling point of all previous fighters being available. Because we wouldn't be able to play as the Ganondorf that we've known for the past three games.

It's the same character, but it's not the same fighter.

Sadly, Ever Oasis didn't do so well in terms of sales, but I wouldn't mind getting Tethu/Tethi as newcomers. I also gotta get Ever Oasis when I get a chance.

I'm willing try out Pop'n & IIDX, but i'm worried that i might not be good at them. But i do enjoy the songs though, some of my fav composers are wac, TOMOSUKE, n' Des-Row/D-Crew.

It really would have pacing issues though. Gym Leaders pretty much exist to be the "boss fights" of sorts. They're a gameplay function first and a story element second.

I'm not opposed to the formula getting broken up though. The thing is, I feel like S/M's set up already solved some of the issues you've had so far. They're just particularly powerful wild Pokemon that will be stronger than any of your individual mons at the time you face them, and you don't have to fight a Kahuna until you've made fairly decent progress in the game.

Spoiler: Elite Four

And they even had a couple Kahuna come back as elite four members to show you how powerful they really are. Not to mention US/UM's little fetch quest trial that has you fighting several Trial Captains really close to the end game.

And S/M does have some pretty decent challenges early game. Smeargle and Wishiwashi anyone? And with the whole S.O.S. mechanic combined with the fact that wild pokemon are generally at pretty high levels means that even a random encounter can turn out to be an unexpected threat.

Whatever they do with Gen 8, I hope they stick more to the Alola "league" structure than to the Kanto one.

Um, no Sun and Moon did not solve my issues at all. The Totem Pokemon were cool but pretty lame compared to gym leaders.

And in theory you could start off your journey focused on the evil team or whatever. Have the admins be the mini bosses up until level 20, which doesn't take long at all.

Just want to say your post was just you telling me things I already know and then "this game you played solved your issues." You don't determine that. I do. I'm confused how you typed that and expected me to not be confused.

Smeargle was a solid challenge as far as early game challenges go. That and Necrozma are about it.

Well that was a nice track. Now to wait for another seven days for the next one to come out while speculating over the legitimacy of leaks and playing various Smash speculation games.
