I wasn't saying people only supported it because the typing, but that a lot of people moved on after Ivysaur was revealed. I even remember seeing you post about it. I know not everyone wants Decideueye because of that (and any current supporter probably doesn't) but I can't count how many videos on YouTube pre E3 with 1000+ views predicted Decideueye so you could have the starter trio and how that just felt "right". That's how that **** spreads.

I want Decideueye for non plant related reasons, but I definitely recognize that's how he got popular so quick.

(Also sorry to hear about the personal stuff. Seriously don't let Smash get you down, especially just my crappy speculation ramblings).

This is honestly how i feel whenever someone says "Ganondorf is perfectly fine in Smash because he's all about MUH POWER". I don't even bother to argue because most of the time it seems im arguing with a parrot, so i simply exit the thread.

I can't remember the exact arguement on here but it had to do with echoes accurately representing characters and I mentioned how Ganondorf was not originally accuratly represented and was followed up with multiple people saying they thought he was....and I just had to drop up because I don't know what to say to that lol.

Those games are FAR less intensive than what we've seen of FF7R.

Assuming it's the FF15 engine which causes even the PS4 to lag sometimes, I doubt that FF7 is going to make it to the switch unscathed.

VERY unpopular opinion: I don't like the new Zelda design. I think she looks weird, and her mouth especially looks strange-like she doesn't have any teeth.

Her hairline also looks very weird to note compared to ALttP Zelda's original design as well, although that might change later on.

It's being designed with the PS4 in mind, which is just flat-out a more powerful console than the Switch. As Idon said, the most recent Final Fantasy games even struggle on the PS4 itself at times. There's just no way the Switch would be able to handle FFVIIR in the game's current state.

"Skip Fridays" is a bit arbitrary. Technically Sakurai updates the blog from Monday through Fridays, but that's in JST (Japan Standard Time). Because of this, we receive the updates the day before (just because they're shared globally once Sakurai posts them). Doesn't really matter in the long run, just the logic as to why they're posted on the days that they are.

I wasn't talking about your post. I don't think I even noticed it.
I just hate how it's still being brought up. I'm sick of dealing with it, it's been one of the worst things in my Smash Speculation expirience and it actually made me want to quit several times. (Literally the only reason I'm staying is because I want to make memories that I'll be able to tell my friends about in the coming years)
I'm well aware of the grass bandwagon, but at this point I'm just getting sick of seeing it still being mentioned.

Smash Ultimate newcomers will be revealed throughout the rest of the year. These newcomers are:
>King K. Rool (a heavyweight who focuses on power)
>Geno (a character who focuses more on long range, but is good with close range attacks)
>Simon Belmont (his whip makes for an interesting moveset, the whip is good for long range attacks but it also has a sweet spot for close range attacks)
>Decidueye (definitely a character who likes to fight from long range)
>Heihachi (a very good close range character, nothing much else to say)

Simon Belmont and King K. Rool will be revealed in a Nintendo direct coming July 27th. They will be revealed at the end of the direct with K. Rool shown first then Simon Belmont revealed after. Heihachi will be revealed at EVO at the end of the Super Smash Bros WiiU finals. Decidueye and Geno will be revealed during another “50 Fact Extravaganza” similar to the one for Smash 4. This time the 50 fact extravaganza will focus on the stages and music with short segments going into more detail about the new mechanics and will reveal a new story mode that is pretty mush a toned down subspace with Tabuu coming back as the villain.

The DLC characters will be revealed a couple months after the initial release and will be released throughout 2019. These characters are:
>Rex & Pyra (they work similarly to the ice climbers)
>Shadow (he’s VERY similar to Sonic but has a lot of differences to be classified as his own character)
>Waluigi (he is the joke character of this game and will be released a couple months after the game is released. He also comes with a Mario Tennis Aces stage)
>Elma (she will be released as the last DLC character to finish up the roster)

So yesterday, me and two other raters at the ESRB were given access to a video "presentation" of Smash Ultimate. Unfortunately for job security I was unable to get any photo or video evidence of what I saw, but you can choose to listen to me or not.
First off, I was told that development is mostly finished now, with the exception of bug testing and tweaking. The ESRB takes leaks very seriously (especially after the last game), so I will be brief.
There were 6 new characters I saw.
Banjo Kazooie was in one of the battles. It was like some sort of adventure mode but it was multiplayer competitive. Banjo had an attack involving Kazooie pooping out eggs. (We have to mark off things like that).
I also saw Simon Belmont, who was fighting against Bowser, Snake, and Louie. Simon used his whip in a lot of his attacks, as well as Castlevania weapons like the Cross throw and Potion.
There was another character who I missed the name of who had purple hair. She was only shown off during a montage of gameplay modes.
I saw Isabelle from Animal Crossing show up, but she used all the same moves as Villager, just "dantier" I guess.
They had someone named Masked Man (not sure what game he's from, maybe Earthbound). He had a sword and used lightning attacks.
Finally I saw Paper Mario in a mode where you work with Master Hand for prizes. He uses his partners from the N64 game and throws Stickers.
I'll answer any questions you guys have but namely I was not shown a picture of the full roster. I saw a select screen that was incomplete and only had a few characters.

The first decent leak of the bunch. Interesting framing device (ESRB employee) and the guy seems to know his stuff. Good job Mr. leaker man. You get a gold star.

He sent me some information he heard about Smash Ultimate and made it in the form of clues. Not sure why. Here’s some of the contents of the message:

1. A villain who debuted in 1994.
2. A fighting game character who debuted in 1992.
3. An echo character of the original 12.
4. An additional rep from a represented 3rd party
5. A flagship character from a yet to be represented 3rd party
6. A promoted assist trophy
7. An echo of a 3rd party character that was previously a trophy
8. An echo whose design is taken from the Wii era.
9. An echo of one of the Pokémon.
10. A character who debuted in 2015.

He said that’s not the whole roster but that’s what he received info on. Not sure if true but I forwarded it to here just in case.

Vague puzzle leak, but it's comprehensible, so it gets a pass. Interesting that it seems to hint at a Mortal Kombat character.

Hello, I'm a former Nintendo Employee and I just recently got fired so this is my way of say "screw you Nintendo". I've honestly had enough.

So near the end of July there is going to be a mini direct with a live stream for Mario Tennis Aces talking about some new features. Also one big title that everybody can't wait for is Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. At the end of the live stream of Mario Tennis Aces they will reveal a new fighter and it will be Castlevania's Simon Belmont. Also there will be old modes coming back and some new ones. The new modes coming back are "Smash Run" , "Hit the Targets" & "Smash Tour" . They are making Smash Tour a bit more fun, also another addition is just like how it would ask if you want a CPU to fight for you, now it asks if you want an amiibo to fight for you. So now you have those two options. So that's all of the content you will get for July. I might post all of the new comers so look out for that.

It's got a kill switch, so that's nice. Smash Tour coming back would also be nice because I actually liked that mode (I'm the only one I guess )

Maybe it's because I'm so used to the animations of old, but every new animation whether it be a slight tweak or a new movement entirely makes the characters look more... sharp, in a way. Still fluid like in Smash 4, but somehow more natural.

Not to say I don't like it here, but thank God the game's out in a a few months because I couldn't stand two years of this.

We had a lot more to speculate about with Smash 4 since we didn't know 90% of the roster out of the gate. We also had things like Photo of the Day and spread out reveals to keep things fresh. It was also nice because Gematsu established itself as the true leak from the start, so there were less bad 4chan "leaks."

I wasn't talking about your post. I don't think I even noticed it.
I just hate how it's still being brought up. I'm sick of dealing with it, it's been one of the worst things in my Smash Speculation expirience and it actually made me want to quit several times. (Literally the only reason I'm staying is because I want to make memories that I'll be able to tell my friends about in the coming years)
I'm well aware of the grass bandwagon, but at this point I'm just getting sick of seeing it still being mentioned.

I wasn't here for Brawl and 4 so I don't know the average Smash hype season.
Not to say I don't like it here, but thank God the game's out in a a few months because I couldn't stand two years of this.

Murlough was absolutely right, were you here the month or so before E3? It was basically just cycling through the same conversations then too. Then it was big release and lots to talk about for a week, but now we're in the same pattern until we get something new which unfortunately is just like once a week with the blog.

Personally I just don't interject when there's a topic I'm not interested in. I'll step in to defend or give my opinion on something as long as it's a different take on it and I haven't said it 100 times already.

Please don't make content like this. It only gives "leakers" what they want: attention. This encourages wannabe leakers to come up with more so that they can get attention and fool others.

I wont ever cover a completely random leak and give random leakers attention however this one got three things right:

funko pops/mario kart 8 deluxe getting further content of some kind/and honestly maybe the most shocking thing, guessing exactly where we are at with pokemon lets go pikachu/eevee... somehow knowing that we would already have seen content for misty and cerulean cities gym before this direct and that this direct would then instead feature Lt. surge is in my opinion a very amazing prediction. That on top of funko pops and guessing mario kart 8 would still be getting ANYTHING at all when most thought the game was done, is worth covering to me.

Again I agree I do not want to fuel fake leakers with attention, however credit where credit is due and this leak correctly predicted thing, also im up front about the leak having some out there nearly impossible predictions and suggest it could be real stuff mixed with fake? I'm not sure but since it got stuff right I thought it was worth talking about.

perhaps a few more things it says will come true and therefore its worth keeping in mind, perhaps it IS true and then I'd feel foolish to have written it off just because it was to good, or perhaps its entirely lucky guesses but I suppose if some fake leaker can get three things right they can have the brief attention they wanted.

I personally only want Ashley in the game so that they can be matched up together whether it's in a story mode, reveal trailer or even just in pics on the site. They're basically the same character lol.
