A rumor of Mario tennis aces characters

The ones I want to point your fingers at is birdo, diddy kong and paratroopa they have ben confirmed recently
(I'm aware a datamine found the base characters earlier)

I brought this up from the dlc characters rumor but just because base is probably correct doesn't mean the dlc is. Besides he didn't mention blooper

Geno couldn't even get into the Mario sports game Square helped worked on, why the hell would he appear in Camelot's title? Might as well stick Isaac on here. it'd make more sense.

To a lesser extent, I can't buy Nintendo would use only Geno and not shove Mallow in there too as his doubles partner. Just seems like a Smash fan made this up. Also Ashley. Just not seeing it.

Pauline, Nabbit and the Kongs would be great additions though.

Specaking of, I'm really not a fan of a character and a clone of that same character in the same game. I know Marth/Roy did it 17 years ago, but it feels wrong somehow. I'd prefer the Inklings stay by themselves for now.

My thing against Shadow is really just that I want Tails first.

Smash Bros Ultimate
The next super smash bros game will have 10 more newcomers. Each Month 2 new fighters will be annoced each month. It seems to look like each month one fighter would be a new fighter, while the other is an echo fighter. In july we will see Excite Biker, and Chrom from Fire Embelm. August will have King Krool, and Shadow the Hedehog. Semtemper will have Crash Bandicoot and Doomguy. Doomguy or crash may be an echo fighter because each month has on echo and one new fighter. October has Isabell from animal crossing as an echo for villager, and Steve from Mincraft. November has Funky kong, most likely an echo, and Lycanroc. December had Simon Belmont and Spike from the Mario games. Release Date December 7th

Lots of spelling errors, and supposedly either Doomguy or Crash and Spike (from the Mario games) are echo fighters?

- This game is literally the 'ultimate' celebration... not just of Smash... not just Nintendo... but the gaming industy itself.
- Microsoft and Nintendo's ever growing friendship couldn't have come at a better time... expect more than just a character and a stage.
- The smash ballot was never intended to be for Smash Wii U... expect fan favourites.
- The Wii U still has some material that will be seen in Smash Ultimate. It's extremely obvious.
- Ultimate will have Switch representation as well.
- Sony will never play nicely... could change after launch but for now expect more of the same.
- Ubisoft have 'characters' in the game.
- Sakurai loves Indie Games... that is all I will say. Again very obvious.
- Finally. Expect more reveals sooner than later.

Hey, its me, with another Super Smash Bros. Ultimate leak!

This time, I hid eight newcomers, that my very good sources have indicated to me that will be in the game, in a Where's Waldo image.

In addition, there are five veteran characters hidden as well. That means there are a total of 13 Smash Bros. fighters in the image.

If you want to figure out what characters I am leaking, you have to do some digging. And even if you for some mysterious reason doubt the veracity of this leak, its still a legitimate Where's Waldo search.

Wolf - as the leak suggested, even though it’s likely to be false, I’d like an edgier version of Fox and Falco’s victory theme for him, like Bowser, Bowser Jr. and Meta Knight do for their respective series. (Also, is Ridley’s fanfare remixed?)

Sakurai most likely decided the newcomers before the release of Splatoon two and its too late for it to be "Promotion" when regular Inklings do the job straight up better. They look exactly the ****ing same and don't have a single unique quality, they don't even have personality to stand on like Dark Pit does.

They don't deserve a place and have no reason to be there. First time I've actually said this, other than maybe Goku: It's not happening.

I don't beleive he's very likely. Golden Sun is very old, and at most Isaac will return as an assist trophy.

I think he's moderately likely right now. He's basically on life support thanks to the ballot (assuming he did well there).

I have been thinking that might be how they reveal echo fighters. I'm not sure about brand new fighters though.

I've been hoping they'd announce a new character (brand new or echo) each month until launch with the shorter than normal hype cycle. But if they do, I'd hope they at least have small livestream videos for the brand new fighters, and maybe have an echo fighter thrown in (like with Robin and Lucina). Because obviously, there isn't going to be a Nintendo Direct each month.

Or maybe the announcements will be more spread out than I think. Or maybe there won't be any newcomer announcements before launch. I have no definitive idea of how they are handling this.

I just want to wake up to a random new character in the webpage like back in the Brawl days. That was magical.

While, I want to say "100%, Swamp Sensei!", optimistically I'd say 75%, pessimistically I'd say... 40%?

I do genuinely believe there are more Golden Sun fans out there than we're giving it credit for. Golden Sun was among the best selling and highest rated games on the 4th best selling Nintendo console (after the DS, the Gameboy/GBC and the Wii, in that order).

I'd like to think we're a silent majority. Quietly biding our time until the Dawn...

issac is about 50/50 imo, maybe a bit less? He has a bigger chance than a hell of a lot of others but there's a lot of other competiton from other big requests that never really faded as much as issac did. He never got the costume in 4 that revived his interest like geno did. Still, I think he's about the middle, not a surprise if he's in and not a surprise if he isn't

Listen, I LOVE Golden Sun, but Sakurai's smash considers 2 things first and foremost:
1. Are you retro/iconic?
2. Are you recently popular/relevant?
If, and only if there's a yes to either, you have a chance.

Otherwise, until we get Dark Dawn 2, the series and Isaac himself is probably dead in the water.

I mean, I hope he gets picked.

Having played Golden Sun, I think Isaac would be a really cool addition to the roster and would be really excited to see him. That said, I wouldn't necessarily be upset if he didn't show up as playable.

I definitely think the Ballot is his last shot of getting into Smash, as there hasn't been a new Golden Sun in forever. Considering the lead up to the Ballot and the fact that Isaac was still considered a "front runner" for Wii U/3DS, it wouldn't surprise me if he placed well to an extent in the Ballot.

I just hope he was picked. I can't really say what his chances are though.

Not very good to be honest. Dark Dawn didn’t sell well, it ended on a cliffhanger but there’s been no sequel since, and I’m frankly expecting him to be an AT again. I’d like him, tho.

What would your reaction be if we got an ARMS character as DLC but it wasn't Spring Man?

In my case I’d prefer either Min-Min or Twintelle. I love Min-Min’s design, and Twintelle became an instant fan favorite.

Look, i think it's possible that Isaac was indeed decently requested on the Ballot at the very least, but the issue i with him is the franchise that he comes from.

Let's just put it into perspective with other heavily requested or speculated characters, where they come from franchises that are much more recognizable (K.Rool comes from DKC, Bandanna Dee is from Kirby, Geno no matter how obscure he is still a Mario character which boosts his profile more than you think, etc etc)

....and then there's Isaac who comes from Golden Sun, a franchise that is not as popular as it used to be in the mid-2000's and has lost most of its steam.

Honestly i don't see Isaac getting in and the Ballot is the only thing that makes me hold some hope for him.

I wonder if Sakurai only would care about the characters people wanted or they also would care about the reasons people wrote of why they want this character.

What I mean is, of course he wouldn't read every single thing, but the most common reasons of why people demands this character, example "I saac should be because Golden Sun is a Nintendo classic and should be represented" or something like that, and it got repeated over and over, maybe it could help to make a choice over "Too bad, Waluigi time", which could give Sakurai the impression that Waluigi is just a meme and people don't really want him and is all just a joke.

I don't think we've factored this in yet. There are people who went through that data, and it's possible that they sent the best arguments straight to Sakurai for consideration.

What are your views on days of confirmations?

Do you think a reveal would happen on a monday, or perhaps on a friday?
Do you think it actually matters at all, or do you think it's possible a wild encounter on a thursday?
Or ... maybe it's special dates as anniversaries, birthdays, an other random things.

What feels more likely to you?
Just to focus on something new, I guess.

The simple answer is we don't know yet. All we have to base on is Smash 4's speculation period and back then there were certainly quite a bit of reveals that coincided with something whether they were game releases, anniverseries, etc.

But we don't know if Smash Ultimate will follow the same thing. And I'm starting to think maybe we should temper our expectations for a new character til' whenever the next direct comes. The lack of information we had in between the reveal of the game and E3 may be a sign that Sakurai mostly wants to just show off already revealed stuff for a while with maybe a sprinkle of new stuff here and there but nothing as major as a character reveal til' a special day comes.

If this game acts just like Smash 4's period. Then Captain Toad or Ashley are the most likely next reveals if there even is a reveal this month. But we don't know for sure if there will be one this month.

So, here is a question.

How likely do you think Isaac is?

Was the ballot enough to help him?

In a manner of speaking it would take the stars aligning just right. First the newcomers have to be drawn heavily from the ballot. Next there have to be enough newcomers that the roster would accommodate more than a couple resting at the absolute apex. Lastly, Isaac would actually have had to place almost at the top, at least among Nintendo characters.

I suppose an additional possible benefit would be if his AT was removed because Sakurai had grander plans for him, but that's speculative and unknowable.

So given all those variables, it's easy to be hopeful but hard to be confident. Frankly him returning as an AT is an easier outcome to envision.

I liked Sonic 06, but Elise was just an awful character. Not just the design alone(the humans looked awful too), but her being kidnapped multiple times per game was really stupid. I'm not all that bothered that she wasn't a very social person(considering she was brought up in a castle all her life) or that she had a crush on the hero who rescued her(and kept rescuing her). That's not that odd. Crushes happen. It's just the fact they thought to keep her fairly bland while continuing to have her kidnapped over and over. Considering the whole "reasoning she won't cry" was a better idea to work with, they missed a lot of chances for better character development.

Thankfully Mephiles is just a better character, though he lacks potential development, it didn't matter since he was more intended to be an antagonist and not constantly interact with, and he's still less bland.

I think Isaac has a decent chance of being in this game overall, whether it be in the base roster or as DLC. I'd give him slightly better chances as DLC though.

A friend of mine that works for Ninthendo of American has some inside information about the charters for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Decidueye will be revealed during a July Nintendo Direct Mini.

Heihachi will be revealed at EVO 2018.

Steve will be revealed at MineCon Earth 2018.

Siomon will be revealed on Halloween.

King K. Roll will be revealed During a November Nintendo Direct.

Karate Joe will be revealed on a Smash Bros direct just days before the game releases.

In the Direct, we will be told Banjo-Kazooie is in development as a DLC charter, and DLC for the game will release through out the switches life time.

Chartes not revealed before lunch are Geno, Dixie Kong, Dark Samus, Chrom, Isabel, Tails, and Shadow.

Hello, I have multiple insiders at Nintendo and would like to share some information about Super Smash Brothers Ultimate with you.

In July, there will be a Nintendo Direct Mini that announces a few new games and a 1 new Smash character. This character is code named Pirate. This character has a long history with Nintendo but hasn't been very relevant until speculation for Smash Brawl and 4 started.

In the September Nintendo Direct, there will be 2 new characters announced. They are code named Foldable and Underground. In the direct, a new game starring Foldable will be announced for 2019, and a game that Underground makes a prominent appearance in will be given a release date and will be eShop exclusive.

In November there will be a Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Direct giving many details on the game before it's release in December. 2 final characters will be announced here, code named Explorer and Spirit. Explorer can travel to a lot of places on foot, but when going vertical, needs the help of a second entity. Spirit hasn't been seen for a long time, yet still has a huge fan-base. This character was decided on to capitalize on the theme of Ultimate, which was giving the fans exactly what they want.

That is all the news I have for now, but I will make a new post to update you when I get news of DLC. If you don't believe me, I understand. This is 4chan after all. But if you do believe me, you will be happy you did when the game comes out. If you don't believe me, at least you have something to solve. Goodbye for now.

I think he's moderately likely right now. He's basically on life support thanks to the ballot (assuming he did well there).
I hope he makes it in since that would mean more Golden Sun remixes, among other things.

Although I would like him on the roster too (I mean the more the merrier), I think most people haven't played the golden sun games, it has been a while he has had a game. And more people would have likely voted on more popular or iconic characters. (I put Belmont and Rayman on it myself )
