I'm not a huge DKC player. All I know about Dixie is that she has the hairocopter.

Dixie has the Hairocopter, she can also use her hair to carry stuff.

Yeah... it's weird.

She can also use it to perform a Ground Pound.

Having Dixie play like a smaller, faster Donkey Kong semi-clone would actually make more sense than a Diddy Kong echo.

Same, I beat DKC Returns (which had no Dixie), and I didn't get past World 2 in DKC: Tropical Freeze (not because i suck), so I don't know much. I know she doesn't have the Peanut Popgun from DK64, or the barrel rocket, so her neutral-b and up-b could be unique (AGAIN: GIVE ME CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM PLEASE.).

I don't see it, the roster was decided in 2015, in that time, Octolings didn't have their male counterpart.

Clones have always been added late into development, I dont think a name change would alter that. And with the huge push Octolings got this year, I can see Sakurai adding them as Echoes.

Again, like I said earlier, I think Octolings should be Assist trophies.

- She can use her hair to attack by spinning around, in tropical freeze this was changed to a pirouette motion instead.
- She can pick up things with her hair and carry them around.
- In Tropical Freeze she can use her hair to smash the ground similar to DK's ground pound.
- She uses a popgun like diddy but she shoots balls of bubblegum.
- She has her guitar which isn't used as an attack but could be turned into one for smash.

Basically she does everything with her hair which is what she should do in smash as well.

Don't forget that Dixie was in development for Brawl as half of a Diddy/Dixie set. If I had to guess Down B would have swapped them like it worked in DKC2. Point I'm getting at is, chances are there's a half finished Dixie Kong Moveset lying around somewhere they could make use of. Just have to give her a new Down B.

The ones I want to point your fingers at is birdo, diddy kong and paratroopa they have ben confirmed recently
(I'm aware a datamine found the base characters earlier)

I brought this up from the dlc characters rumor but just because base is probably correct doesn't mean the dlc is. Besides he didn't mention blooper

Toadette would be an interesting Echo Fighter, and it would be a good edition in my opinion but if she was not an echo fighter I think she should be an alternative costume.

If anything, it would make more sense if Isaac showed up, since MTA is made by Camelot, after all (before anyone asks, both the Golden Sun and Mario Tennis games are by Camelot).

I think she'd make a better alternate costume, like alph I don't think she'd really need any unique taunts or victory animations or anything to warrant echo status.
