The thing is though, if they have a demo on the showfloor, they’ll basically have to show more than three newcomers.
The first Smash Wii U demo had 6 newcomers playable after being at two E3’s and having tons of direct time for reveals prior. This time they only have one direct’s worth of reveals to go off of, unless you count the gameplayless Inkling reveal. I’m guessing at least 5 newcomers will be revealed over the course of E3, unless they’re planning on Snake and the IC’s each carrying the weight of a newcomer.
