J3ly: Technically, Plank is stealing though. The pot isn't his to dip into, never mind take the whole of. That's why there's a very definite split when announcing venue fees and entrance fees

But god people need to chill out in that thread, Plank never said he's 100% not paying, just not paying yet. **** needs to calm down for him to make a statement to hopefully resolve this issue.

To put things into a UK perspective (although on a much smaller scale admittedly) Charles took the hit on the low attendance for the previous monthly rather than dip into the pot to help fill that hole (I presume)

Fuzz is down £40. If plank is telling the truth, and needed at least the entire prize fund, he was down $10,000.

Completely different scale, though through the same problem (unless plank did just steal it).

it looks like plank physically can't pay out any of the prizes though, so in that case morality is 100% irrelevant.

My point is that it's already been used and he literally does not have any money currently to pay them, how people expect moaning about it at this point in time will get them any money is beyond me.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something.

well pound5 was a large ****up then...

yeah just gonna say now, if people support the food stand which our sponsor is going to setup, we will have no money problems

speaknig of which, i asked the brawler about what things they would like at the food stand, and i havent asked you guys...

so, thus far we have canned drinks, crisps, chocolate and pot noodles. anything in particular you guys would like to see?

it's always good to have a food vendor in the actual venue :)

Maybe sandwiches? although there's so many different varieties it'll be hard to satisfy everyone :/ I'll probs be content with pot noodle anyway haha

LOL Yeah it would be sick if you played, you could always come to mine since you literally live like 2 minutes walking distance, but I would have to get another pad.

Also that advert is epic, BTW Jaydean is still attempting to make beats :)
Man give up.

:bee: Well now that SNY2 isn't on I would love to see you say what the eff you want because there's no repocussions of it not going on lol.
Please commence

That wouldn't change anything, his decision is final and it wasn't really going clubbing which he wanted us to do.
Basically it was initiated when I said in the Birmingham thread that I would rather get housed by Yeniths because at Yens I would be actually playing smash, and if I went to Kones he already stated that they wouldn't be and they were doing some get together for that American GAWes who I don't know (and Kone wasn't even going to the tournament anyway) and when Kone saw me post about that he got all upset and said the community isn't what it used to be blah blah blah and people just want to play smash and called SNY2 off.
I saw JPR 2day in croydon still. I didnt know he was still making beats?

anyway I will say what the eff I like. Kone needs to not get so emotional about these things when I housed you guys for the last monthly I wasn't like "OMGosh me and smakis (just any name for example) dont party and hang out so I'm gona like totally leave the smash community" :glare: At the end of the day he has 1 up on everyone else seeing as he is the only person in the UK whos bothered to host a european touyney. If fuzzy decided to quit smash it would leave everyone else high and dry until they decided to book venues and all that malarkey. I would host a tourney if i wasnt in full time employment and had free time on my hands and if croydon wasnt such a s*!thole.

You didn't initiate it though
Lol
I did initiate it you silly guy...I once try to make points like you did but was wrong, at that time I felt like a ****** which im pretty sure like you will feel in a sec
I made a post in the thread about me not wanting to get housed by Kone cos they won't play smash and at Yeniths they will and was the only person who blatantly stated I did not want to get housed by Kone because for that reason....and from that he said

I think the recent posts on this thread have eventually sorted out my direction with smash. For a while now I have been debating whether to host SNY2 aswell as remain active within the melee community. I have always focused upon the merits of using melee as a vehicle to befriend people and the ability to first socialise and then play the game. However, recently I have noticed active members of the community (at large) don't hold this similar attitude.

This, rather limp, thread is evidence and justification of my feelings.

I am, eventually and thankfully, done with smash.

x
And EXACTLY 1 minute later he posted in the SNY thread

Nice try though, you did your best

okay then sammiches too, ill probs jsut get a random selection, ham, cheese, BLT

also, wtf kone, you can be friends with people and play smash at the same time XD my bestest buddy was one in which the relationship was built on smash
can someone say socially awkward?

but yeah, if i can manage to sort stuff out for a more urban venue, i would be more than happy to host a european sized event.
im not entirely sure if i would ever do a melee exclusive one though...

I have a feeling that in the long run doing a brawl and melee european might actually make it easier in a way to do the tournament all be it you would need a mahusive venue, but in terms of not losing money seems more solid.

I think all monthlies and tourneys should host brawl. Although it does seem to make the day go slow you dont have to worry about things like venue fees etc etc. It all needs hyping up I reckon and we all should persuade new people to come all the time I'm always trying to get new people involved in the community.
In terms of a brawl and melee in a European event. OOHHHH SHEEEEEAATT your gonna need a loud voice, a mic, a whistle, patience, a few first aiders, a tazer, guard dogs, and an ak47

I honestly disagree, they're not IMO

Plus i've seen other games of him, his grab game is better and more consistent and he approaches a lot better and safer plus I think he plays smarter.

people gave him the money, without any signed contract in good faith - how can he steal money that was not owned by the people being stolen from?

smakis minus wobbling = noticeably poor player - peef is clearly on another level

THIS!!! Minus the poor player bit lol, but yeah it's clear PEEF IC's are really good so I really am looking forward to playing him since I think my IC's game is pretty good but haven't got the chance to play it on a high level if that makes sense.

i know, i know
plus ill need the ability to drive, which i dont yet have

also, the loud voice thing is no problem, i get over excited at smash events ANYWAY, let alone when i actually need to shout XD
srsly, check my decibels when i found out i had andy in 1st round

Actually in terms of criminal liability he fits the criteria needed regardless of the money being given (or a gift if you will) to be a thief in english law. The case of Hink shows that he could be in theory.

However civil law is another matter which I dont have much knowledge on....yet.

how is peef on another level.

At least smakis is close to the top of his horrible region
No matter how close he is to the top, there's still an extremely distinctive line between the top 3 and him, thus me ****** him at the last event.
We don't have a lot of top players anyway so getting to the top area isn't much of a reward, it's only taking out the top which Smakis can't do yet :)

wtf how did i not capitalize not

anyway yeah i think smakis >> peef from what ive seen of both
You're obv wrong....and this is from me watching numerous matches of him, not just one match (not saying you have watched only one match even though you prob have anyway) and playing Smakis, and I think it's clear that PEEF is better....
When he comes down here it will be obvious next year, if he isn't better then I will be 3/4 stocking him consistently since I 2/3 stock Smakis consistently which is something which I know won't happen when I play PEEF.
