So which is he? If he's only immortal, I think a KO should count as a win in this thread. Are all of these to the death?

Just a question... how immortal is Ganondorf to all of you? He's been shown to get hurt by many a different things. The sword which the sages used to sentence him to death for example in TP left a serious pernament wound to Ganondorf.

And Midna also attacked Ganon with the Fused Shadows, which make me believe she could potentally kill Ganondorf as well (if she's skilled in fighting enough that's it).

The Megaton Hammer and Biggoronsword could hurt Ganon in OoT as well.

I think Ganondorf could actually be defeated by characters who could otherwise beat him in a fight. Being unable to fight further should be a loss as well right? Characters don't neccecary have to fight to death perse...

Oh and _clinton, check out DK: Jungle Beat videos. DK is in my opinion stronger than Wario.
1. He hadn´t got the Triforce of Power at this moment. He got it AFTER the execution.

2. Midna attacked him but he was barely injured. Ganondorf almost killed her.
She was no match for Ganondorf after all.

3. But the last strike absolutely has to be done with the Master Sword. In TP the Ordon Sword or any other weapon can´t touch Ganondorf at all. You have to fight with the Master Sword.

Not without actual shows of destructive power, no.
Seriously, go play some Metroid and Zelda games and come back and tell me what feats of durability Link's brain has shown that would allow it to withstand the Nova Beam, which is generally a OHKO when applied to a foe's vital organs. And Nova Beam is stacked with Power, Plasma, Wave, Ice, and Wide.

You are the one who needs to show some feats of resistance power to prove Link's brain can handle all of that sawing through. Such a beam also has an incredibly high rate of fire. Link flinches when he gets hit, so if the first shot connects, so would the ones that followed.

Could you guys talk about the match up that is supposed to be discussed instead of constantly bringing Link vs Samus back up? Stop beating a dead horse.

The guy is annoying. Plus, you guys seem to be making good progress with this matchup.

If Sonic can permanently keep Ganondorf slowed down, Ganondorf would probably never catch Sonic.

Except Link is tougher, and he's not stupid either. In WW Ganon busted an island. If Link hand handle going toe to toe to Ganon, why is the imperialist even going to hurt him? Really? It's not.
So? Lasers aren't exactly punches and kicks. If a laser can OHKO through extremely tough armor (while the head is not even exposed), then it's going to OHKO Link.

Jeez, Link lost already. Get that through your head. He loses at the beginning of the match via Imperialist headshot.

wouldn't that be against the rules?
Why would it? If Ganondorf can never catch up to Sonic due to interference Sonic is using... well, if Sonic could keep that up indefinitely and Ganny could never attack, than the battle would be considered over, wouldn't it?

It's an infinite slow down, Ganon could still attack, but he'd be too slow to hit sonic.

Ganon can never lose to anyone who hasn't the Master Sword, which only has Link (though after lots of years he gets his life back). So at worst he can tie, but NOT lose to non-Links.

I don't know, some characters that have the powers to beat the ultimate evil or slay the gods might have a chance against Ganon.

He can wish, and as much as he wants. That's all that matters.

And, retreating is a loss.
Sonic doesn't have to re treat. He uses his time slow (or stop when he needs to), and uses his lightning shield. If by some chance he does get hit, he just regenerates the shield. How would Ganon get past that?

What determines if Ganon can and can't possess someone?

@terywj

According to what I've seen, Ganon can only be hurt from the master sword.

It's never made clear in game, however, I believe the only time he did possess someone (Zelda), she was unconscious. It's impossible to say if that means the person has to be unconscious to be possessed though

Potentially other evil repelling items could harm him. I believe the only time he has truly died when he had the Triforce of Power was to the Silver Arrows though.

But since Ganondorf can never hurt Sonic due to being slowed down and Sonic's infinite shields, and Sonic being able to fight Ganondorf forever without doing or taking damage, this can only result in a draw.

Perhaps I'm not making myself clear enough. Fine, I'll say it again.

Ganon has the power to make his wishes and thoughts come true.

He may just wish for Sonic to be paralysed during the start of the match. (Super) Sonic may be as fast as the speed of sound, but nothing's as fast as the speed of thought.

Are you sure about that, Ray? Different beings 'think' different. Different processes or whatever. So how fast is the speed of thought?

Depends on the person thinking, and Ganon's, well, only the smartest Nintendo character, so I'm quite sure his thoughts are fast.

It was never explained ingame and basically it's only there so you could use zero suit samus as some lolwhut extention of the game and thus bringing fort all this zss hentai and whatnot fanart. >_> ZSS part adds nothing new to the game, gumpei yokoi would roll in his grave if he ever saw that added part.
I’m sorry if you don’t like Samus being shown as being human under the suit…

Also it was explained in game…her ship was destroyed…she was only alive because of her suit’s energy reserves running out…as in that is what would happen to her whenever she gets a game over IMO…

But in any case, that was her old suit (lolwut 2 suits, com'on, jeez), now she has a new and better suit, so the old suit thingies don't really apply.
Fun fact…that old suit she had was a newer model of the power suit she ended up with anyway…part of the reason why things like the space jump, gravity suit, and plasma bean didn’t work was because they were older technology as well…at least that is what I see going around in the theory area for that game…

It’s not like Nintendo would just milk things you know ^_^

Not forgetting this was her very first Metroid mission, she's kinda more experienced on later games too. I doubt Mario could just "scare" or "rip" the power suit out of an experience bounty huntress. =)
It’s not her 1st mission…she is seen as a powerful and experienced hunter in that game…please look up the back story for that game next time…the whole reason she was sent to that mission was because of her already impressive resume…

Oh and _clinton, check out DK: Jungle Beat videos. DK is in my opinion stronger than Wario.
I'm aware of how he acts in that game...he acts like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wihbKTfLFBg

I still want to know how DK is more than just the alpha male of his pack of dirty apes...as in...prove the monkey is stronger than a normal ape please...

I have shown videos that talk about Wario's strength/speed being far above average if you don't remember (I still laugh at anyone who thinks Mario has average speed...god it's like the number one thing they post in Sonic vs. Mario is Sonic's Speed>Mario's Strength and they completely forget about Mario's by far above average speed…it might not equal Super Sonic speed…but I’ve seen Mario do many of the same stunts that Sonic has done in some way shape or form)

Could you guys talk about the match up that is supposed to be discussed instead of constantly bringing Link vs Samus back up? Stop beating a dead horse.
To be fair…the TC hasn’t made any rules stating that you can’t talk about old match-ups…

Ganon can never lose to anyone who hasn't the Master Sword, which only has Link (though after lots of years he gets his life back). So at worst he can tie, but NOT lose to non-Links.
Plot devices are fun huh?

Have you actually looked at why Ganondorf gets hurt by the Master Sword/Link? God power…that is the simple answer…Oh and the Link’s have used more than just the Master Sword I might add…OoA/OoS shows that Ganon can be harmed by more than just the master sword…

I'm gonna be an *** and say that Mewtwo is never stated to have high intelligence :bee:

Intelligence =/= Thought Speed

Sonic's traveling fast too... gonna have to look up thought speed o_o

EDIT: Looked it up. Thoughts themselves are unique to each individual person, but responsiveness to a stimuli can be measured.

Ah Alakazam. A Pokemon with an IQ that exceeds over 5,000 which is way beyond nearly everything that lives now. Mewtwo can make himself a Pokmeon trainer, I think he's smarter than Alakazam but I don't think it's on the PokeDex that he is.

Clinton, before you accuse my lack of reading, please read my comments more thoroughly yourself. =) I said "metroid mission", to mean it was her first full fledged mission on zebes to keep metroids outta MB's posssesson. I'm not ignorant to her status as a bounty hunter before her first zebes mission.

The reason why she survived was never explained in the game. She says "The timing of my escape couldn't have been worse. I was attacked by space pirates and left nearly defenseless, stripped of my Power suit. All I had for protection was my rather useless emergency pistol. Infiltrating the space pirate mothership so armed may have been foolish, but I had no choice...". However she claims she was stripped of her power suit due to some unknown reason never explained ingame, not to mention she had it deactivated herself lol, so her saying it was stripped from her when she had deactivated it herself is contradictory. Then it's never said how she even survived the crash landing when she had her suit disabled for the whole time.

Then the fact that some ancient suit > her newer suit given when she was a teenager is kinda ridiculous. But I guess the old one is just better cause it's ancient and supports ancient chozo technology and more compatible in many other ways. <_<

However... even though the suit was found from some ruins, it could have ended up there after Samus left zebes. It's never said ingame that the suit she's given is some sorta old model either, nor are the unknown items staten to be incompatible with the current suit because they are ancient. They are simply incompatible, which could be also accounted to them being new and would make a lot more sense to upgrade her suit to a newer model in any case.

Besides, if she got a very much newly build and first model suit on her teenager year then left, wouldn't that make this power suit found from chozodia a later model, aka a new one? Chozodia suit being an old model would be quite a paradox, especially when refered to as "fully powereed suit". The pirated didn't raid Zebes for quite a while either, allowing the chozo some time to develop a suit for her and leave it there in case she ever needed it, then put up some safeguards like they've done with every other piece of equipment.

Immortality and invincibility are two separate things.
This.

Ganondorf should be able to get beaten. Though, I don't see any character do that so far. Ganon's pretty **** strong.

EDIT:
I'm aware of how he acts in that game...he acts like this:

Nah not like that.

As for proof... he can take down a space ship, gaint robots (DK: Jungle Climber), jungle creatures many many times larger than him, his Sound Wave attack could destroy a gaint snowball (Jungle Beat), he punched K.Rool out of his ship at the end of DKC2. He's also good in material arts even, as he beat other Kong Kings (lolz) who are specialised in karate, ninja skills and sumo (Karate Kong, Ninja Kong, Sumo Kong for real).

Normal gorillas can lose to wild jaguars even. Doesn't happen a lot though. But DK is deffinatly stronger than a normal ape.

Oh and he was in Punch Out Wii. One of the hardest characters to beat so I've read..

Ganon's thoughts would have to take less than a second, since Sonic can transform in under a second. And then remember that Sonic can have his time slow going as soon as the match starts.

Sonic can carry items btw.

Immunity Idol, Sonic is immune to all status effects.

Actually, I'm allowing wishing.

Ganon's gotten the full triforce once, right? If he did, then it's powers are fully legit, even if it allows unlimited wishing capabilities.

Mariobrouser, you're being idiotic now.

Ganon can literally disable Sonic without moving a muscle (if wishing to win wasn't banned, Ganon would just wish to win), all with meer thoughts alone.

Unless Sonic has some divine power, he can not stop that.

You said paralyze him, so I thought you meant the status effect. I'm guessing the emeralds don't count as divine right?

It's all too easy for Ganon lol. Who can actually beat him if he can disable people without moving a muscle?

Wait,

2. addressed, appropriated, or devoted to God or a god; religious; sacred: divine worship.
3. proceeding from God or a god: divine laws.

Deity
1. A god or goddess

Chaos is the God of Destruction correct? (I am positive that Eggman says this) Would that make the Chaos emeralds divine? Yes. If divine power can harm Ganon, then Super Sonic can.

No one, but let me tell you, he'd beat everyone even without the Triforce's help, the Triforce is just his trump card. Other threads like this have banned the full Triforce, but not because it wasn't legit, and Ganon has still placed in the top without it.

@unknownlight

You can't really prove that he would tire out. And in the final boss fight of SA2, he used the fake emerald without any signs of fatigue.
Um, yes I can. I already did. Sonic was shown obviously fatigued earlier in SA2 when he first used Chaos Control. Even though he's gotten more used to it since then, it's obvious that using CC takes energy. So eventually Sonic will be too tired to use CC anymore, and Ganondorf still can't be hurt.
