Smash 4 Speculation Chart [WE UPDATE NOW]

Well, my point was that they made a Balloon Fight stage and considering that it would seem very weird for them to add such a stage when the Villager only represents B.F through an up-B, so I don't know, I mean, don't forget that according to Sakurai recently, the Villager was supposed to be in Brawl, alongside Smashville but was later cut due to a certain well-known remark he made about Animal Crossing during Brawl's development and don't also forget that Sakurai himself had stated during development of Melee B.F was considered for inclusion as a playable character in Melee before getting replaced by the Ice Climbers. So, maybe B.F might be playable in SSB4 (or maybe Alice, I don't know.)
There is a lot of wrong here.

-Villager was considered, not actually planned to be included.
Sakurai "finalized" the roster decisions (i.e. before imputing them into the game itself) by July of 2005 sans Sonic, who was a late addition. Villager is not one of these characters.

-Balloon Fighter wasn't planned to be in Melee and was especially not "replaced" by the Ice Climbers.
What had happened was that Sakurai went through a process of elimination for an NES character. Balloon Fighter, as well as Bubbles, Urban Champion, and Excitebiker, were examples given of those eliminated and why they were. Balloon Fighter's reasoning was that he'd be "useless if his balloons popped".
Now, that's not to say he can't change his mind (he did about Villager, after all), but it's better to have the facts be accurate.

I would advise against taking Tingle off the list. It would be like saying Villager deconfirmed Little Mac. Yes, the balloons are similar, but keep in mind that similarity in moves isn't enough to completely discredit a character. (Heck, Mega Man and Sonic have the same Up-B, and they're completely different otherwise.)

Oh, thanks for correcting me, Golden. Still, if you don't mind my saying, My point was mainly that it just wouldn't seem plausible to add a stage like "Balloon Fight", and not expand on it further. BTW, if no one minds me bringing this up, what do you all think of series like Pilotwings getting a character now? I'm kind of 50-50 for some strange reason now, after seeing the stage "Pilot Wings" in the direct.

To be fair, Balloon Fight has always been one of the most iconic NES games out there, it's been referenced so many times. I'm not surprised it's finally showed up as a stage.

Animal Crossing got Smashville, the Pitfall, AND Mr. Resetti in Brawl. I think you're overestimating the possibility of one showing up.

No problem.

As AEM pointed out, Animal Crossing had quite a bit of content in Brawl, but did not have a character. Same can happen with Balloon Fight and Pilotwings.
There's still a possibility of a character for one or both of those series, but with Villager getting a B.F. technique (which doesn't completely kill the odds, but puts a bit of a damper on them) and Pilotwings having very obscure options (which are generally from the 64 game, which is seemingly absent in representation in the stage oddly enough) with Miis taking over, it doesn't seem all that likely.

Thanks, Golden! Um, say, if you don't mind my asking, if you had to choose someone as a Pilotwings rep, who would it be? (Lark, Kiwi, Goose, Ibis, Hawk, Robin, Miis, or maybe even (dare I say it?) the unamed "Golden Pilot" from the very first game?) (I personally would go with Lark or the "Golden Pilot", honestly.)

Shouldn't Wii Fit Trainer and Greninja get blue borders? They were characters not on the charts before their reveal.

I'd go with Hawk.

AEM has a new....subtle method for characters not on the chart prior to a reveal.

I guess the unsticky status is a blessing in disguise. Less questions about everyone's favorite one-time Zelda character.

I don't think Zoroak is confirmed. Can you update the main page soon?

Zoroark is already confirmed to not be playable because it is present in the Charizard and Greninja trailer. Since every other Pokémon present in that scene are Pokéball Pokémon and/or are suspected of being Pokéball Pokémon, Zoroark is marked as an Assist Character.

This brings Ganondorf in Melee to mind but in that case itw as a random sampling of trophies shwon and this time around Sakurai is cherry picking them. He can't be trolling us like that right?

Hey guys, what about the possibility of Wonder Red being unlockable and once he's unlocked, his trophy is replaced by Alfonzo?

One month to go until E3. I hope we get some activity before then but I have a feeling there'll be a lot of disconfirmations.

It seems the common opinion is that Sceptile is the most likely Pokemon Newcomer possibility now.
I saw the discussion earlier saying there were too many choices from different gens, but the Hoenn remakes should be enough to put him ahead of every other Grass starter.
Even if you think it's too late to change anything, the others have nothing that are pointing to them. The starters from gen 2 and 4 never stood out anyways IMO :p

Also, it should be Sceptile and not Treecko or Grovyle due to Charizard and Greninja being the fully evolved ones of their line.

I don't remember who I saw on the chart, but I think Blaziken and Genesect are the only other possibilities.

And Diancie :awesome:
