Been busy lately, and as a result I'm out of the Smashboards loop. What happened to the Rumours and Leaks thread? Did the mods shut it down because it was a giant gong show? And if that's the case, where is it acceptable to discuss rumours and leaks? I'd imagine that occurs in here now, but I don't want to make assumptions, haha.

Posting them here is okay because that's what people have been doing anyways. The Rumors thread was closed because it became a giant headache to manage where most people outright ignored warnings and infractions despite the work of multiple mods at any given time. Aside from the Palutena and Gematsu rumors, nearly all of them were ripped to shreds within minutes of being posted anyways so the topic was constantly off topic too. In the end, it just became better to nuke the damn thing to give the staff here some peace of mind and allow us to not waste a buttload of resources on a single thread.

That thread basically became an off-topic forum game that, like others have said, wasn't worth the time of multiple mods to fret over. If people want to get a 'rush' from seeing their favorite character on wishlists (basically why most people went to check leaks), they can visit the Roster Prediction Display thread.

Seeing today's PotD, I'm not surprised in the slightest that Waddle Dee is a Smash Run enemy. I just don't see why people thought the most common regular Kirby enemy had a chance of being playable. No amount of spears or bandanas would help his chances.

And how does this count out Bandana Dee? There were Waddle Dees as enemies in Return to Dreamland, as well, and Bandana Dee speared them without remorse.

The Smash Run Waddle Dees honestly have nothing to do with Bandana Dee's chances.

And yes, I realize I'm very late on addressing this.

Here's the thing.
IIRC, when Serebii was told to pull down the leaks, it was by NoA.
But in this case. Not only was Nintendo mad, but it was Nintendo of Japan (who I honestly didn't know knew about Smashboards. An English speaking forum about one franchise mind you).

Highway hypnosis is when your consciousness focuses on two different tasks (one of which being driving correctly, in this case). Afterwards, you have no recollection of driving, but you performed the drive as per normal.
