So I would LOVE to play everyone in this thread at Spawn's tourney (Dammit spawn your tourney name is RIDICULOUSLY LONG).

we'll take him to jungle japes and make him stick to his ic (which we can gay) or play his ylink/pika (the former admittedly isn't a bad choice on that level but we have chain grab homosexuality on our side)

@arc, well i'm planning on takin some train to boston and than go to your house and then to tufts.
I might have someone to bring me from your house to tufts but how would i get to your house from wherever the train stops. [and i've never rode the train so i don't even know where it stops in boston]

Check your pms, The trains in Boston are pretty easy to understand. You want the Orange line and to go in the direction that takes you to Wellington station. I'm fairly certain the orange line stop called New England Medical Center is right next to Tufts as well (I know the dental school of Tufts is lol). Pretty much all the different train routes merge to orange via downtown crossing or state, just read the signs.

also, I definitely don't doubt chudat's amazingness at the sheik match up, but times have definitely changed. falcos are now beating peach, samus is getting ***** by everyone, jiggz is ****** everyone. And Sheiks are now beating ICz.

i had a real close set with chu in pitts last year, just stay on platforms, chu is just plain crafty thats all

Is being able to juggle most chars for about 50% right off the bat with Ftilt/Utilt/Usmash the biggest reason Shiek is (as far as I've heard) highly dominant in melee, or what else about it am I missing?

I think it's mostly because of her ground speed, range, priority, and lack of severe lag on most moves.

Her tilt combos are stupidly good but really I think the biggest issue most characters have against her is that it's a nightmare to get inside a spaced Sheik. And her punishment back, as you've noted, is usually better than anything they have on her (from mid tier and lower).

I wouldn't say Sheik is highly dominant in Melee. She has her flaws, and some of them are pretty serious.

Also, you shouldn't really be taking fifty damage right off the bat from Sheik unless you're getting chaingrabbed. DI down and away, ASDI the dash attack down if you anticipate it and tech.

Actually I have no idea if the ASDI to tech thing works in the air, but it works on the ground, sooo... yeah.

japes is so good, a couple weeks ago i counterpicked a fox better than me in the finals to japes and 3 stocked him doing explosion tricks into gimps.... and that was the only game i won

anyone here use the sh fastfall autocancel fair? ive known about it for forever but u get more ground range with a shffl so i never used it, whats a few frames more lag? but i just started using it as a baiting tactic, u can literally do anything instantly right after.

fair to upsmash looks cool, autocancel fair to pivot jab looks cool too, but fair ftilt seems to be a classic

no not the shffl, u can only do it with fair.

basically, at the top of your shorthop fair then fastfall at about the same time, and the move will have ZERO lag when u land, and u dont have to Lcancel. u have to get the timing down, if u do it too late it will need to be lcancelled. the only drawback is u dont get the move as low as possible and lose ground range. but u can do it falling and get the autocancel.

it seems pretty good for spacing over the top of shields and hitting aerials, but ive been using it sort of like a empty shorthop to trick people except u actually show an attack but can then do whatever.

again nothing gamebreaking, i barely use it
