If King Boo hasn't been in a mainline Mario game yet, who was the giant ghost in the basement of the casino in Sunshine?

That particular King Boo actually has a different name in Japan where he's known as "Boss Boo" while the King Boo from Luigi's Mansion is actually called "King Boo" over there so I'm pretty sure that they are indeed totally different characters.

Regarding WF, I find it a little odd WF seemed to be focusing on appealing to the Japanese Market with Shantae and Vitamin Connection, it might just be them wanting to ppeal to market they are themselves fans of, but I cant help but think its more than that. (Outside the obvious "expand beyond base western audience")

However, I find it just as likely that it may still be danced around for the moment (no pun intended). Remember that the character gallery showed the entire ARMS cast, so we could really just get anyone from there. Don't sell the bear's skin before one has slayed the beast, as the saying goes.

I doubt its not a current spirit. Honestly the only ones that have any sort of chance that arent spirits are helix, Dr. Coyle, and Max Brass, and none of them are as iconic in the ARMS series as any of the spirits. We are getting a spirit upgrade, i guarantee it
