Yeah, I was bummed last time when Mewtwo and all the other DLC characters shared the same generic "I don't know what they are?!?"

I'm afraid i still don't get it. If you aren't familiar with one of the characters, wouldn't that generic guidance entry feel empty toward any of the DLC characters? Why is it worse for Lucas?

Because Pit and Lucas Smash debuted in the same game, adventured together for a bit in Subspace and yet nobody remembers Lucas at all. The others at least have the excuse of Pit not appearing in the same Smash games.

Speaking of debuts, Piranha Plant got a classic mode too, with the theme of newcomers.

The plants not bad to play as. She can be down right fun sometimes.
You can also play as it in world of light, its unlocked right away, so I think its safe to assume all the dlc characters will be like that. Co op for the spirits board was also added. Now we just need it in adventure mode.
in all a good update. I just hope we get info about joker or the other dlc character soon.

I'd like to imagine that'd only happen if Risky started to do non-villainous things if it was real, due to the Pirate Master wanting a vessel or at least successor, since otherwise he can remain very subtle in his manipulations if Risky is already doing the kind of stuff he wants to do.

I was thinking it could happen (real or not) if for some reason she needed to convince herself she was doing villainous deeds on her own accord, that’s she’s not under his influence and calling her own shots. Either way could work.

Maybe he could play a similar role to the Joker’s presence in Batman’s mind in that game.

The townsfolk are dumb enough to think just not wearing a pirate hat is enough reasonable doubt over Risky's identity, despite acknowledging her being identical in every other way.

In that Mario & Luigi crossover spun earlier, Tuki and the dances she offers would be great as moves that do more than just damage the enemies.

Dryad, Gemjug and Blobfish dances would be far less laughable when they're the only-non item method of healing, grant more loot for high-end gear and allow a Power Bounce, respectively.

Dude, that's great. What a far cry from how the DLC characters were treated last time what with no Guidance entries or sets of custom moves.

Looks like this time around the DLC characters really are just a full extension of the characters already in the game. Cool Stuff indeed.
