It honestly feels that too much stuff is going on for all this to just be coincidence. It certainly feels Shantae will be in the game in some form.

Imagine if tonight’s blog update is the Shovel Knight AT. That’s probably as big a hint as Sakurai retweeting the Nindie Direct.

My chance score on something Smash appearing is a solid 15%. I consider that a big number though, created solely through the evidence we've compiled together. Of course my want score is 100% haha.

I think there's about a 10% chance of her being shown at the Direct tomorrow, but obviously I'd want her to be shown 100%. The Nindies Direct would be the perfect time to show Shantae and for Nintendo to show how committed they are to Indies.

As I said before, pay attention to Matt, WayForward, and Sakurai's Twitter pages for the next 24 hours to see if they drop any hints. And the Smash blog update might provide clues as well if they show off SK's assist trophy.

To be honest, I think there's about a 15% chance of something Smash related showing up...but my want percentage is around 85%.

It's weird how I still think she won't be in despite all the weird evidence people have complied on her. I still feel like Geno or Isaac has better chances than her.

I'm all about hyping us up, but that 3DS Direct was on the 29th, not the 28th. Still pretty close though! My want is obviously 100%, my realistic chance score depends on Sakurai retweeting sometime tonight (when it's morning in Japan). Right now I'm at a solid 15-20%.

They still don't mention Smash or answer the question, so it's technically not really breaking an NDA if there is one.

At the very least WF knows that the demand for Shantae in Smash is there.

To be honest, running around everywhere online, I'm already quite impressed with the amount of artwork and animations that Shantae gets from her fans. If she makes it into Smash it's kind of mind-boggling that that'll actually increase even further.

"Nothing to Announce at this time" is different from "Shantae likes picnics and she's having a good summer" when someones was asking if we could expect her at the Nindies direct.
