Do you expect anything from the Nindies direct ? And by that i mean, a Smash trailer including Shantae.

Personally speaking, i don't know what to think so I'm keeping my expectations low.

I think we have like 3 recent pages of people answering their take lol.

I was thinking that it would be at Risky's ship since Shantae pushes the entire Ultimate Slumber Party to there in the dlc. If Jammies Mode was indeed a rather big hint, her ship would be the perfect stage. Maybe the ship could take the fighters to Scuttle Town, the Mermaid Factory, and elsewhere from HGH. Just a thought to keep it separate from Toon Link's.

Maybe the stage can have a twist and start traveling on land in it's Tinker Tub form. That would be fun and a neat reference if it's not a boss in whatever single player this game is doing.

I thought that same thing. There's even a few times I was the only one viewing it, and now there's like 20 people.
We're pretty inconsistent lol.

I'm expecting her to be an assist trophy, honestly. She's my second most wanted character to be playable (behind Isabelle), but after what happened to Shovel Knight, I wouldn't be surprised to see the same happen to Shantae. But I'd be so happy to see her playable. I'm just not expecting too much. I don't expect a Scuttle Town stage or a Risky Boots echo either. But hopefully I'm wrong about all this

I'd rather she not be in the game than be an assist trophy to be honest. At least if she's not an assist, she still has a chance at being a DLC character.

I saw a YouTuber say that Sakurai did retweet something from the previous Nindies Direct, but when I went on his Twitter, I couldn't find anything. Has he retweeted anything about it and I just missed it or was this YouTuber incorrect?

Because there's no barrier for liking something.

Undertale was good so it attracted a lot of fans, good and bad.

There's a chart somewhere that says that Fandoms are at their worst when they're a very large niche but get better once they go full mainstream or cool down.

Hell yeah! As much as I like MH: World, it's so much better when you can pull a quick hunt wherever you are. MH4U and Smash was all I played in Highschool.

Indeed. One would expect that if Sakurai is going to retweet the direct, he would do so between now and before (roughly) midnight PST. We must remember the time difference between our zone(s) and Japan.

If I'm not mistaken, Sakurai retweets the day of the direct for Japan (they're a day ahead), but it appears to be the day before for much of the rest of the world. If I am wrong about this, then disregard this post.

Chances of Smash news, whether it involves Shantae or not? 5%. I'm sorry, I just don't see it happening. Want? 100%, but I know it isn't gonna happening.

Very true. Though she's still probably going to be in the game in some way, most likely as either playable or assist trophy, and I'm sure we'll find out before the game comes out.

Funny, feels like a different wave of people came in. hi.
We've got ideas for what could happen, but not many of us are expecting tomorow to have smash news (though WF did make an interesting tweet about Shantae being at a picnic with friends, whatever that means XD). Would defniitely be pleasant surprise that we're going to look out for though!

The skies are open. Anything can happen.

I feel like most of the stuff will happen around the end of september and october though. Just my gut.
Willing to shift gears if it's sooner though

Just wanted to expand, with the exception of Paper Mario (subbed for Dixie Kong), the popularity in the top five characters in replies is strangely in line with the 40K ballot results we talked about earlier.
