I loved Shantae's game back on my Gameboy, and her moveset potential is through the roof!

Plus she's just an adorable little cinnamon bun!

Well, if Shantae gets announced as a fighter on the final pre-DLC roster, it would debunk the Grinch leak.

Well, I'm about to head to bed. The Direct takes place about 2 hours after I start work, so I'm gonna have to watch it during a break or something. Means that I'm probably gonna avoid this place and other game places like the plague tomorrow morning. Don't wanna see too many spoilers!

Alright guys I have to call it a night now, but I’m coming from the Isaac thread to wish you shantae fans the best of luck now. I believe the half genie will get into the fight alongside the golden boi Isaac. After all we have been through, we come to it at last. Whatever happens at the direct, we must be prepared to accept the outcome justly and wisely. So let’s get shantae into smash now. She deserves it. :)

His words: Rotty is...um... I have no idea what to make of her except that I hated the ghost forest part.

I think he was really thrown for a loop by her personality and actions. Though he admitted she was cute once he registered what she originally looked like.

Welp, spooky time is over and now the Direct awaits. Even though I’m not headed off to bed just yet, I do want to give my best wishes to everyone. It’s been a heck of a ride and I know I’ll likely be happy with the outcome regardless.

You know, I've never played a Shantae game so I really don't understand the joke. They both speak English right? I mean it seems out of character for Grinch to say "Nani" because that doesn't even rhyme or make sense!

How was that clip connected to Shantae and Grinch? The two guys in that video are way too different. I really don't see how the Grinch could be compared to that big guy. Has that clip been a meme for just about any two characters metaphorically beating each other? Because I really don't get the joke.

I think you're digging too deep in this. It's just's a stupid joke on how if shantae was announced she would "kill" the grinch leak. North Star is just a popular meme to pair it with.

I do know some memes like Goku4Smash, "Better nerf Greninja" and the DC Fans mocking the Martha scene in Batman v Superman with Batman asking "Why did you say that name!?" and parodying him overreacting to any mention of his mother's name. And there are pictures with captions. And the dramatic prairie dog turn. And I'm subscribed to Rajput on YouTube who makes videos showcasing comic-book meme pictures. I know what a meme is.

only a mere 13 hours... just 13 HOURS GUYS! heck i'll be asleep for 8 of those hours! we'll know everything!

i'll be away from the boards until I watch the direct. (i'll be at work.. but im watching it ANYWAY!) we're all in this together! weather its people who support our wishes, or if they hate our guts, it doesn't matter, we're ALL smash fans! no matter what we're gonna love this game.

Just finished playing delta rune that was awesome. Now time to return to shantae gbc!

Sigh... With my hype for shantae (AND HOLLY) at an all time high the surprise delta rune release took it over the top and now its dwindled down to to a more calm and relaxed hype.

But from being a lurker that overcame their shyness like an erathbound character I've liked being here felt very welcomed. Especially wademan94 you've been very pleasant those holly pics keep em coming.

Now all that's for tomorrow is a surprise appearance! (Pencil it in but don't get your hopes up... Or maybe do??)
