That is so ****ing cool!~Sorry, I'm still flowing through the 4chan trash, but I found a cool pic. Fake, but still cool:
Yeah, I'm worried I'm coming across as extremely annoying at this point lol.I think I've seen you ask a few times already, sorry you got overlooked lol.
It'll happen eventually..
You got it bb! I love that movie.I think it's from the film Session 9 but I'm not too sure.
I'd love to see screenshots of that lol.You know, I just remembered something I think you would all enjoy hearing. So around the time I was getting into Shantae(And possibly around the ballot), I had purchased Xenoblade Chronicles X. When I was greeted with making the player character, I had no idea what to make. Typically, I don't make a representation of me, rather a different character entirely, be it original or a reference to another character. Point is, I saw that the female peppy voice was voiced by Christina Vee, so I actually made the player character Shantae. I had also planned on making her Skell look kinda like some futuristic Tinker Tub, at least color wise. Never got that far in the game though, so that dream never came to be.
Actually, Undertale will get a release on the Switch.Like, that's why I didn't mention Sans, cuz Undertale has no relation to Nintendo at all.
Not at all. Should be able to join the list just like the others.Yeah, I'm worried I'm coming across as extremely annoying at this point lol.
Eh, I am not tech savvy enough to pull a screenshot, and I would be embarrassed to show off my crummy character making skills. I would be curious to see others try out this idea though. It's fun to visualize characters in different games, and I bet it would be a good excuse for many people to dust off there Wii U.I'd love to see screenshots of that lol.
HUHActually, Undertale will get a release on the Switch.

I feel like that too and that bugs me. I'm not a fan of reaching but... idk. It is a good point. Shantae and Daisy booty bumping makes a lot of since.I think the thing that has me the most convinced of Shantae's inclusion is Daisy's picture in the panorama; I don't remember who brought it up, but the pose she's in is a very weird one to be in just on her own. Granted, it DOES look like it could be one of her taunts or Daisy Bomber, but her eyes specifically- she seems to be looking at somebody who isn't there yet, and of all the potential newcomers who it could be, Shantae fits the best. I could EASILY see her mirroring that same dance pose, especially with somebody like Daisy who already shares a similarly spunky personality. That, combined with all of the other suspicious activity, is what pushes it over for me.
I'm still going to be cautious and not get my hopes up TOO high, but It's definitely reassuring to have some kind of lead within the game's art on top of everything else.
Pretty certain that Undertale is pretty recent in popularity over there, compared to Waluigi, who is widely-known and established enough for Sakurai to make fun of him.So... Undertale coming to switch doesn't worry any of you here at all then? I'll admit, Hat kid and Lilac were always going to be a far stretch, but isn't Sans like, super popular in Japan or something? Like I remember this:
Although I have heard not to take this seriously as Sans is like Japan's Waluigi over there. So he's more like their meme character than anything. But Nintendo may not be so aware of that internet culture when it comes to Memeluigi or Sans lol
The other possibility is that Daisy isn't dancing with anyone, but merely teasing someone, like Isaac or someoneidunno?I feel like that too and that bugs me. I'm not a fan of reaching but... idk. It is a good point. Shantae and Daisy booty bumping makes a lot of since.
Who else would do it. Isaac? Skull Kid? I don't even think Bandana Dee has a booty. Banjo-Kazooie definitely aren't booty bumpers. Paper Mario has a flat ***. Maybe Dixie Komg but I think she'd be interacting with her boyfriend, Diddy Kong, in some way. Incineroar would burn her butt. Decidueye doesn't look friendly enough to booty bump the *****. Geno... would actually be really funny; but c'mon, he's not butt bumping material. Shadow is actually a high possibility for booty bumping with Daisy, since he's known to get down on the dance floor.
Shantae is the best possible booty bumper with Daisy.
Is this a reach? Why do I think this is actually the besy evidence we have for Shantae?
Sans shouldn't even be in the game as a fighter if Undertale got any representation in Smash. People became so enamored with the coolness of his boss fight that they ignore its context of being a horrible event that is not typically in San's character to do but was forced into it by the extreme circumstances brought about by the Genocide run.Sans is a big hit, yeah, but the ballot was over before his game even released in North America. By the time it became huge, Sakurai had already developed the project plan for Ultimate and he looked to the ballot for which characters were going to be added. There is no way Sans is making it into this game unless it is DLC.
Sans (AND Papyrus?) should get in as a Resetti-style Assist Trophy. I think that's the best kind of representation for Undertale in Smash.Sans shouldn't even be in the game as a fighter if Undertale got any representation in Smash. People became so enamored with the coolness of his boss fight that they ignore its context of being a horrible event that is not typically in San's character to do but was forced into it by the extreme circumstance brought about by the Genocide run.
Neither did Cloud, and look what happened there.Like, that's why I didn't mention Sans, cuz Undertale has no relation to Nintendo at all.
No jesus, theres a thing called years under one's belt? Al of those other indies ar much too new to be a problem for Shantae and dont have a series behind them.So... Undertale coming to switch doesn't worry any of you here at all then? I'll admit, Hat kid and Lilac were always going to be a far stretch, but isn't Sans like, super popular in Japan or something? But I'm talking about playable characters from Western franchises. Sakurai has never done that before. Maybe it's because I'm an otaku, but I just don't really like that ideaWhat is the problem with having American video game characters appear in Smash? Technically, they already added some characters created by Westerners, Diddy Kong and King K. Rool were both created by the British and Dark Samus was created by the Americans, though these characters are now owned by Nintendo. There are still some assist/normal trophies including Shovel Knight, Bit Trip Runner and Rayman, who were created by the Americans and the French, which are not owned by Nintendo.
Part of me wants her in the game, because I love Shantae, but part of me doesn't because I'm an otaku and I personally don't like the idea of Sakurai putting Western franchises in the game as playable characters. Please don't kill me, I'm just stating my opinion. Does that make sense?Sorry, I'm just really confused on that one.
So...should K. Rool and Diddy be excised from the roster?Part of me wants her in the game, because I love Shantae, but part of me doesn't because I'm an otaku and I personally don't like the idea of Sakurai putting Western franchises in the game as playable characters. I'm just an otaku who only likes Japanese games (for the most part, aside from a select few American games), and it just wouldn't feel like Smash Bros to me if characters from western franchises were made playable, since we've never had that before. But if Sakurai did that, I'd accept it.To me that's a rather odd concern. If some american characters are good enough to be wanted by many fans and nintendo as well, I don't see the issue.
Also, why see games through lenses of origin? If a game is good, it's good. Shantae fits right in. Are you worried Skyrim or Halo would have a chance in smash?
No, because they don't represent a Western franchise. They're from Donkey Kong, which is Japanese, not Western. I'm talking about characters that represent American and Western gamesSo...should K. Rool and Diddy be excised from the roster?
I'd be fine with some Western characters making it in to the game, but I don't want the roster to be over saturated with characters like Dragonborn or Master Chief because that would just ruin the spirit of Smash for me. Characters like Rayman or Banjo I'm perfectly alright with though. But I'm talking about playable characters from Western franchises. Sakurai has never done that before. Maybe it's because I'm an otaku, but I just don't really like that idea
Well, considering that Mother 3 is basically spoiled to hell and back in here, it's clear by now that this series is mostly aimed at long-time Nintendo fans, so it wouldn't be the first time this type of thing happened. The other thing about Sans being in smash is that it kinda spoils a big part of Undertale. I mean I assume that doesn't really matter as far as choosing a character goes, but it would be kind of crummy for Sans to be basically be spoiled for everybody forever.
Shantae is like the most anime looking western franchise though. I actually did believe it was Japanese for a while before actually looking into it.I'm just an otaku who only likes Japanese games (for the most part, aside from a select few American games), and it just wouldn't feel like Smash Bros to me if characters from western franchises were made playable, since we've never had that before. But if Sakurai did that, I'd accept it.
